Ιt speaks well of you that you realise and admit you were not mature at 24 (and I hope you were not voting back then) . Good for you. But we can't make this the bar for any serious society because then there would be no adulthood. And if someone is by default taken advantage of at 24 ( lol) they can be taken advantage of anyone. So that means you advocate for a higher age of consent than 24. What do you propose? 28?

The whole premise does not assume any kind of maturity before 30 or something and people who truly think this should take their assumptions to its logical conclusion. That people shouldn't vote before 25,shouldn't go to war, shouldn't be trusted with law enforcement and the rest. Also this implies that any relationship in life is potentially abusive due to arbitrary reasons. Parents are default abusers, teachers are by default abusers and maybe we should all never leave house to save ourselves f…

Jesus Christ. What else shouldn't people do before 25? I assume drinking, military and driving is out of the question. So what separates a 24 yo afrom a 10 yo?

If you are younger than someone it doesn't make it hard to consent. This is so disturbing that people who thinks this should not say it out loud and outside America would be very suspect. If one thinks a younger person is the sexually less powerful one in a relationship, one should get out more

The idea that women lack agency is embarrassing and sexist. Anyone over the age of consent is free to do what they like.

Adult people can do what they like with each other. People who deny them this right ( usually Americans) are telling on themselves

Thinking any age gap relationship is manipulative says more about you than society.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
