Key notes: Dont take your zinc on an empty stomach, and calcium blocks a degree of absorption. I forget to what degree but check the studies, I believe a 4 hour gap is sufficient. Also not all zinc is the same and have different availability so again do your resesrch. I was in the army at 18 and tested with a lot of supplements very blindly. Zinc and vitamin d were the only the only ones to have a noticable affect on my psyche within a 3 week testing window. When I fall off a zinc heavy diet due to road work I notice depression/anxiety etc. Get your zinc on people

You need a purpose, and barring that a hobby that tricks you into doing the right thing. I cant help you much with the 1st except [read the sidebar] but for the latter i use mountain biking as a way to stay active and not even realize I'm working out lightly. Other sports will do the same such as soccer which is easy to find a group and has a low cost of entry, basketball as well.

I had similar feelings to you and came to the conclusion that none of it matters and all goals are inherently equal due to the meaningless nature of life when your primary needs are met, which just about every Westerner/East Asian has intrinsically met. Set your goals (world class banjo player, find a new isotope, start a peasant revolt, whatever) and enjoy the things that come along the adventure. Good luck!
