yeah, don’t unblock. I lost 25 lbs, my mental health and trust in men because of this NVM fuckboy. He ended up playing mind games with me.

I guess I'm stuck in the mindset of not burning bridges like I do in the corporate world... I don't know why I'm still having trouble with block and delete. All I'm thinking is how could I use him for my benefit, instead of other way around (like turn the tables against him). Any tips for detaching?

I’m trying to change my pickme ways and looking for advice in changing the power dynamic in my situation - this man fucked up royally in the disrespect he had towards me, and when I confronted him about having a discussion, he stated he’s been busy with dealing with his grandfather’s death. He agreed that we needed to talk, but he gave no timeline. It’s been three weeks since. Mind you, it’s been me initiating. How can I change the power dynamic to switch to my favour?

Male software engineers are the worst. I don't want to date them. Think Sheldon, but with a stronger dose of misogyny.

Question: I’m at a disadvantage for meeting HVM (I’m in a male dominated profession, software engineer here) hence why I had initially thought OLD was the way to go. Where would one go to meet HVM?

Yes. Yes to everything to this.

I have to agree with everything you said. Dating apps doesn’t work for straight women. However it is fantastic for LTBQ women.

Online dating has always failed me, where can one find HVM? I chose to be single because of the sheer amount of LVM on these dating sites. It's time I meet a HVM.

Right away. I say it up front to weed out the ones who aren't compatible with me.

To stop chasing after men. I made that mistake and I realize I was not being cared or treated well the way I deserve to be.

Same. I am very picky with men's looks. I know I look above average because I put on effort in my everyday look and I get checked out alot. But the men who are interested in me and take initiative are not attractive at all.

Yep! I learned this the hard way. I was infatuated with a FWB who was "career oriented", but let's be honest, my schedule was WAAAYY busier than his (I was juggling interviews, team lead management, and my engineering courses) and somehow I found the time for him. He kept looking at his phone while I was in his company. I had to initiate the conversation with him until I had enough. I told him enough is enough, I don't want to do anything with him anymore as he was sucking all of my energy and I…

I am not a man, but I see myself in this article and have been working on dealing with commitmentphobia. Thanks for sharing.

Does this work as well when it's the other way around? (Meaning girl impressing a guy?)

It's best to ask /r/actuallesbians or /r/pickup4dykes . You're not going to find credible advice in a subreddit dominated by men.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
