Think so? You may have the wrong idea. I’m still friends/ colleagues with almost all my past flings. Still chat every now and again, even still meet up (platonically) with a couple. Recently one stayed with me during lockdown period for a month while we were both traveling in the same country (and again, platonically). Most have moved on to other companies, and honestly no ill will at all. Cause nothing ever happened in a regretful, uncomfortable or uneasy manner. I don’t operate in anyway where…

Totally okay with that. Nothing to hide or to be embarrassed about on my part.

Sorry dude, didn't mean for it to come across that way at all. Whenever I said "you" .. I 100% meant it in a general sense. At no point did I mean to sound like I was speaking about you in particular. It was always focused on the topic at hand, not a particular person.

Yea, great point. Like all things in life—balance. If there's policy against it, then yea, don't do it. Plain and simple. Beyond policy, I would never hookup (or encourage anyone hookup) with a direct report or anyone who's career could be influenced by you in any way. That's abuse in power and plain wrong. But if there's no strict policy against it, and it's Sally from finance who you never work with but always seems extra gleeful when saying hello to you... then fuck it. Wanna grab a couple dr…

I'm failing to see where at any point in my previous post I insulted you or reduced you. EDIT: To be 100% clear. That was never my intention, so apologies.

Totally hear you. But if safe and logical is in your toolbox for attracting women, well, I bid you good luck. I'm of the belief that when it comes to mutual attraction, I don't really care so much about the setting, optics or specifics. Life's too short to worry about what society's corporate/ work culture finds acceptable. Major reason so many men have problems with attracting women is this fantasy that things have to be "just right" for a situation to pan out. Life isn't like that, the conditi…

Jeez, people are so quick to edge to extremes on any given subject. I have a great career, corporate setting. Have hooked up with plenty of coworkers throughout the years. Holiday parties. Happy hours. Things happen, maybe they happen again for a while. Casual stuff. Never been an issue for me. I think if you’re promising your coworkers a commitment or something, or if you’re already married and having flings at work, then it’s gets sticky. Otherwise, it’s generally fine. No one is obsessing ove…

Oh wow look at that, an adult in this comment thread. Thank you, was losing hope in this sub. This post and a lot of the comments herein reek of prepubescent porn-addicted teenage boys who are figuring out what their hormones mean. She fucked 34 dudes while you were home thinking about her? Even if that’s ever true, what an incredibly misguided, unrealistic, self-defeating and quite frankly, absolutely pointless, way to think.

The latter. Since I’m already light on texting, first texts to new new girls really are logistical. Let’s grab a drink this week (pandemic has actually turned into a great excuse to invite them straight over to my place). But honestly, most of the time it turns into a game of tag due to scheduling. Most fizzle out really, and I’m not the type to pursue too hard. Yet you’d be surprised how many “hey stranger” texts you get from those later on. Months later even. Edit: point is, don’t overthink it…

Yup. It’s been a fun discovery. I actually am quite busy (work) and text a whole lot less than I used to as a result. So naturally, it became my logistics method more than anything. With that, I’ve never had more women vying for my attention via text/messengers than I do now. I have a hard time keeping up and I think they notice it and instead of resenting me, they’re much more responsive once I do start replying. Or if I text first, it’s like they know there’s a window open and they need to tak…

Yea, The Secret is a bit too out there for me. I think its mostly bullshit, but the overall idea (think positive, believe in yourself) is sound and can be a good start for a lot of people in terms of turning their lives around. Like positive thinking is good, helpful for many reasons that understandably correlate to success (but it’s not some cosmic power), and the other core lesson being, if you believe it, you’ll accomplish/attain it. Which again, is sound on the surface, but the reasoning the…

Thats a woman that knows how to get what she wants. Those are always wonderful to come across cause it makes your job super easy. The caveat is that she knows she can “get the guy” pretty easily and consistently, so don’t act perplexed when you aren’t the new shiny object anymore. These types of women can often move on to the next easily and frequently, so best not to let those next morning endorphins paint a fairy tale future for you just yet. I’ve found, as others have suggested, if you go as …

Why? You are in no way entitled to that and only bred more discomfort and awkwardness by it. It’s hard enough to reject someone, so people tend to do it in the most nonconfrontational manner. That means most rejections are not the most direct or overt, for safety reasons, for not wanting to hurt someone’s feelings etc. A side eye is enough of a rejection for me, and I move on to the next. Any hint of “no” should be your social cue to get out of there and move on. Don’t be the weirdo who needs to…

Um, that sounds like the best response ever. That's how you become THE guy to hang out with in your group of friends. Girl for you, girl for you, and girl for you. In all seriousness, she's still wants to hang out, probably just doesn't feel safe seeing you alone yet. Group dates can be fun as hell, plus you two will be the glue for the group. If all goes well you can rest assured the next date will be just the two of you. Sounds like she just wants to party with you at this point to feel you ou…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
