Hey dude, I was just scrolling through my Reddit posts and forgot I made this one. I just wanted to give a quick update and say that I've developed a lot more confidence recently, and I now want to actually start venturing out there. I'm also finally getting my drivers license, which was a huge roadblock for me before, since I only ever went out to places only a few miles away from my home before. I also thought about joining one of those dating apps, for a serious relationship, but I honestly m…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 11:45 PM

That's a great point about being reciprocal. Especially if that person you're interested in is just as "lost" as you are, so to say, about their ambitions and values. I guess that's more common in the youth anyway. Tbh, I bet most my age range aren't even thinking about long-term developments, as you need experience for that, and it can just be overall be stressful to think about all that at once, when there's much else going in our lives. So maybe I should take it a little easier on that aspect…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/23 02:48 PM

And I totally respect that. In fact, you're one of the few people I've seen on Reddit who has expressed this politely and prudently. A lot of people, especially on the more Feminist or Leftist leaning subs, won't even want to hear my take, and will just resort to ad-hominems. So do you think it's wisest to be upfront with your values early on when seeing someone who may be a potential long-term partner, or, if your beliefs aren't obvious, should you really only mention when you're serious about …
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/23 02:30 PM

Well, I know some people like to make politics their whole personality more than others, so what if the topics rarely got brought up? As far as relationship dynamics go, I'd say I am definitely more traditionalist leaning, in the sense I do believe there are "masculine" and "feminine" roles so to say (though not in an extremely oppressive sense). So with a family dynamic for instance, I'd prefer if my wife took on more of the nurturing role, while I'd by the main support role. It's all down to t…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/23 12:22 PM

Well, when it comes to dating advice, I do actually avoid these personalities when it comes to that, most of the time. Even someone like I like such as Jordon Peterson, I think he's a litte off when it comes to that, but still respect his content regarding philosophy, psychology, etc. Not to mention all the "red-pill-blue-pill", MGTOW, MRA, etc advice. They all think they're "fighting back" against modern dating, yet they're falling into the same trap, just at the opposite extreme. Tbh, even in …
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/23 12:16 PM

Wait, is that sarcastic? I literally can't tell your tone haha. Do you mean it's good that I have certain standards like that, or that my beliefs will alienate 50% of the dating pool?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/23 04:07 AM

I don't think it's the specific political opinions themselves that matter, but rather how important they are to a hypothetical partner. For me, as much as I'd disagree with someone on some opposite belief of mine, I wouldn't let that alter my outlook as said person as an individual. About the archetype, how exactly would I know if I personally qualify to attract? That's the issue I have with the whole "value system" you hear about in advice circles, which I don't understand. Like how can I know …
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/23 04:05 AM

I don't know if it's just my Reddit account or what, but I swear certain posts and even comments get shadow-banned from my end. So this is the third sub I've asked this question on, and I don't even think the 2nd one went through.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/23 03:57 AM

That's true about being young, that your ideas, habits, etc, all change so rapidly in this time frame. Regarding your other part... I'm pretty sure 99% of women won't give a shit what personalities, politicians, etc, I follow on social media. If they do have a problem with it, then that's obviously their issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/23 03:47 AM

Well the comments were fine and wholesome until someone decided to go through my post history, found out I've posted in Conservative subs, and, like most Feminists, they assume that I'm a male-supremacy-woman-hating loser, then I got a bunch of downvotes lmao.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 08:33 PM

I don't think I ever said it shouldn't at all be important, but rather when you initially pursue someone, sex shouldn't be the only thing motivating you. As far as compatibility goes, I feel if two people love each other enough, there's more room for "inconvenience" in the sense you'll be less picky about the sex, vs if it was just a casual hookup.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 05:35 PM

Yes, the commenter you’re replying too is correct. That is what I’m saying. Well, we wouldn’t initially know what the woman’s sexual desires were, unless we got to know them. Once or if a relationship is established, then ideally, both parties would should attempt to please each other’s desires, and understand what they like and don’t like.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 04:53 PM

Exactly, thank you.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 04:50 PM

I mean it is not a good idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 04:49 PM

That’s a good point actually. Because if I was really committed, of course I’d naturally want to please her desires as much as I could. So I guess when I’d find someone I’d need to make sure that maybe we’d need to find a compromise between our desires. Y
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 04:26 PM

I didn’t mean that there was anything wrong that that initial comment, but I was just curious as to of why my reply got downvoted. I brought the sexual attraction thing because that comment brought my attention to it, not that the commenter him/her self I have a problem with.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 04:17 PM

I just wouldn’t want my horniness to convince I’m attracted to somebody, when I’m actually not.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 04:11 PM

You need sexual attraction of course, but it doesn’t have be the highest priority imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 04:10 PM

Of course, as that’s why you’d need to make sure that your partner understands how reserved or open you are sexually. I personally don’t believe in casual sex unless I was in a committed relationship with someone, so obviously that wouldn’t work well a someone who prioritizes sex higher than you.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 04:07 PM

Yeah, it’s a fine line for sure. For me, it would the times when I was really horny, to the point where almost any female body would arouse me. But that’s only because your body is seeking relief at that moment. But true physical attraction for me, is regardless or pure hormones, if I find somebody to have a really attractive face, with sexual attraction following naturally from that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 03:21 PM

I agree, but if it’s the inverse, so “sex regardless of anything else”, then that’s what would lead to romantic failure imo. Yes, you need sexual compatibility, but I don’t think that should be the foundation for the relationship, or take full priority.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 03:08 PM

Well, perhaps I articulated myself poorly, but I was actually saying the opposite. Meaning if you chase after a girl just based on sexual attraction (sometimes masquerading and being confused for romantic for a lot of guys), and nothing else, then that won’t lead to a fulfilling relationship. If they interpreted my comment as saying you think I’m saying, then yes I agree that is not a prudent way of approach. So I personally wouldn’t want a girl I’m just sexually attracted to, since I don’t even…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 03:05 PM

It’s not I wouldn’t be sexually attracted to them, it’s that the concept of “thinking with your penis” likely wouldn’t lead to a fulfilling relationship, if that is your goal in the first place. So if I’m attracted to someone sexually, I would need to consider if I’m just horny, or if I really want to get to know this person romantically. If it was the other way around, so initially a romantic interest and not sexual, then that would be safer. Sorry, I’m not very good at articulating this.

Just ignore this guy. He responded to one my posts with an equally condescending tone. Some people just shouldn’t be giving advice lol.

Yeah, and I see a lot of guys fall into the “If no girls notice me, then I must be ugly, short, poor-looking, etc” trap. I’ve always been socially awkward throughout my whole life, with a more conservative quantity of people I associated with. As of recent, I’m finally coming out of my shell and hanging with friends again. I honestly haven’t really since I graduated HS 2 years ago. And that alone gives more more confidence with my social interactions, and I think people, romantically or platonic…

I don’t know if you can see this comment since the post got removed… But I was implying in my post that it would involve “out and about” interaction. Obviously, you’re not going to meet anybody if you’re just a homebody.

See, that’s what I would be concerned about. “Forcing” milestones almost defeats the whole purpose of them. People need to remember that each of us is an individual, and that certain “tips” aren’t so universal. Not only that, but “milestones” can vary from person to person. If you don’t mind me asking, what specific milestones did you achieve?

I see. Apologies, as I didn’t realize it seemed one-sided. It’s okay, it wasn’t getting much attention anyway.

Thank you for your write up, and I agree completely with it actually. What you described is actually what I was trying to say, except I didn’t think to use the word “randomness”. I think oftentimes in life, the things you desire will come when you least expect it. I’ve seen plenty of stories of people getting what they wanted (not just in romance) when they weren’t actively pursuing it, but rather by “randomness”. And it worked out better that way. And yes, focusing on yourself first is fundamen…

Tomorrow, I think I’ll make another post, because I’m writing some ideas down on how make my argument clearer. I just thought of some things that would add more substance, but I digress. I still don’t see the conflation between simping and chivalry. A common example of chivalry is a man offering a women his coat (in a context that would justify that) to keep her warm. So, are you all saying it’s misandrist to do that? To me, chivalry and courtesy go hand in hand, and even though I know people in…

I'm still just confused on this threads consensus. As to have why we still can't live in a world where chivalry is justified.

This sub is too damn pessimistic. They assume all hope is lost. Movements like these aren't just gonna vanish without us speaking up about it.
/r/MensRights11/04/23 03:27 AM

Simping isn't culturally ingrained, though. We will always have "simps" because that's just how men/women will behave in regard to romantic pursuit. I agree with the 2 following lines. I think this sub has either widly misunderstood what I was saying, or I worded my position very poorly.
/r/MensRights10/04/23 10:51 PM

I'm referring to acknowledging bioligcla differences. On average, an adult male could likely take advantage over an adult female, than if it was male-to-male. I'm not trying to defend the bullshit assault statistics that feminists throw out. For example, that a 1/3 of women will be raped in their life. I'm saying that we can't pretend our uncontrolled biological differences don't shape our lives differently.
/r/MensRights10/04/23 10:47 PM
1

Being chivalrous has nothing to do with oppressing men imo. I'm not wasting my resources by doing that. We should respect them equally. And I always thought simping was referring to a romantic context. Which is where you fall over yourself trying to please a woman. That, I don't agree with.
/r/MensRights10/04/23 10:15 PM

I didn’t say anything about providing for each other. My whole point of this post is to point out how abandoning chivalry makes no sense. For some reason some here think that it enables the radical feminists.
/r/MensRights10/04/23 07:19 PM
1

Maybe I’m not informed enough on the history of it, but how does chivalry enable it? I see it as them playing the victim card, so sure, in that way they do abuse it. But we shouldn’t give it up to appease them.
/r/MensRights10/04/23 07:17 PM
1

Sure, but the radical feminists are the ones attacking chivalry. The “We don’t need no man” ideology argues that gentleman like behavior is oppressive. I’m saying we need to make them aware that it is not. It’s all nonsense.
/r/MensRights10/04/23 07:14 PM
1

No one is explains how abandoning chivalry will achieve anything though. Hypothetically, if we forgot all about chivalry, then what society look like to you?
/r/MensRights10/04/23 07:13 PM

Where did I say anything about simping?
/r/MensRights10/04/23 07:12 PM

Abandoning it will not give us the society we think it will. Women aren’t forcing chivalry upon us, so this won’t affect feminism in any way.
/r/MensRights10/04/23 05:13 PM
1

I'm sorry for whatever country you're in, sounds even more radicalized than America. Red and Blue here refer to Democrat and Republican. With feminism being linked with democrats.
/r/MensRights10/04/23 05:00 PM
-1

I'm not saying they can't do any of these things, I'm saying that men doing an act of courtesy isn't hurting either side. I'm also not saying that women should be treated like queens just because of their birth circumstance. I don't view chivalry as a sacrifice. We all have unbalanced privileges, that's just the way the world works. I just don't want to see the men's rights campaigns devolve into collectivism like the feminists are.
/r/MensRights10/04/23 04:58 PM
-5

I still think that's a deception though. When voting, the majority of people don't know what their voting for. Do you mean how say half of women vote blue vs red? If we showed what these radicals ate actually trying to do, I doubt they'd support them. The feminists think they're a majority, which is why they feel confident spewing whatever they must. They know how easy it is to manipulate a crowd.
/r/MensRights10/04/23 04:52 PM
-7

Oh yeah, I should mentioned that. The feminists that object to these advances do you indeed consider it oppressive to them. So it’s a real messy situation. However, I still believe that’s a loud minority. I would assume that most woman wouldn’t even think about it twice when a man does chivalrous acts. It is feminism that has raised their consciousness to believe they’re being oppressed.
/r/MensRights10/04/23 04:28 PM

We can still have equal opportunities, while remaining chivalrous
/r/MensRights10/04/23 03:34 PM

“Women and children first” isn’t oppressive imo. We say that because women and children are weaker than us, so it is our inherent responsibility to protect them.

Exactly. This whole sub does a good job of exposing the feminist lies, including rape statistics. I'm quite young myself, and from what I remember a lot of girls just do it for fun, or to impress their friends mostly. Idk, I was never a teen girl myself haha, so I'm likely naive in that area.

While that guy she's defending may not have used the best choice of words, it's not really an uncommon opinion. Do I agree with it? Not really, but I don't disgaree 100% either. It's a complex social analysis. But he certainly doesn't sound like an apologist, how is he defending rape in that sentence.

They likely can't even define the word "rape" itself. It's just a term they use when you disagree with them.
