I can relate to this unfortunately. I had the similar problems since I was in high school until mid 20s. I use to hang out with the hot girls (as friends) and doors were open to me everywhere. I haven't thought about this before, but now that you brought this difference It makes more sense to me. You are probably right: a good person is nice but a nice person is not necessarily good.

I think the concept of 'nice guys' having negative meaning comes from the large numbers of weak assholes who pretend to be nice so they can get into the woman pants.
