i think you should pick and choose advice. it's not everything or nothing. this is regardless of where the advice comes from (redpill or even the people here). really scrutinize whether it even makes sense (people unknowingly contradict themselves all the time). for example: how can one reconcile avoiding gold diggers, and at the same time avoiding dating until being financially succesful how can one reconcile men being expected to approach women, when there is supposed gender equality and then …

read the "MISSION", in the right pane. i think it actually explains pretty well what sets this sub apart. for me the main thing is that there is basically no shoehorning of male issues into right-wing/traditional issues, nor is there a complete rejection of feminism. i think that the posts here are in line with it. you might be so used to the association of male issues with the right-wing, that you can't tell the difference

you talk about "many communities". but what is the proportion of these communities compared to others? you talk about "more balanced" but are matriarchal systems actually balanced? why would you want to describe the difference between matriarchal and patriarchal systems when both have gender roles? are you trying to move the goalposts?

i would call it a problem with gender equality that stems from "tradition". "tradition" is something that people immediately recognize. it ties neatly into common concepts like "traditional gender roles" or "tradwife". and in my opinion "tradition" is gender neutral enough. so i would call it "tradition" or "traditionalism" instead of "patriarchy"

i agree with a lot about what you said. however, i think the very gendered word "patriarchy" doesn't reflect that women play a role in keeping it intact. and this is reflected when i look back at this thread, where women are only mentioned as victims. men are also mentioned as victims but also as beneficiaries. this imbalance implicitly blames men for the patriarchy. you don't seem to be aware of it, but you and SquashyCorgi478 are basically demonstrating why i think it's important to signal a b…

but a yield sign is misinterpreted way less. i would go so far as to say that "patriarchy" is misinterpreted most of the time. it looks like words like "paternal", which is gendered. it's comes a across as a way to "hold one over men". the message of a movement is weakened if it immediately casts doubt and everyone has to lo immediately get out a dictionary. this is because words are often deliberately chosen, also for their immediate effect. i think that's a reason why "MeToo" was simple yet po…

then why the insistence to keep using a term that is often misinterpreted? i've never understood this

just won't like you what does that actually mean? do you mean that there can be other reasons? this seems really vague

maybe making you also pay for the drinks was his honest mistake, by because he didn't think it through, as well as you. he may not even be aware of it. or maybe he knows what your bonus is and factored that into the decision. i would ask him about it. he's the only one that knows what was going through his head

i think they first need to communicate better, about their finances. it's too soon to talk about throwing away the relationship

that sounds fair in theory. but the divorce payouts that Better Bachelor talks about, go beyond the woman's earning potential

are you saying that this rule can be broken?

My problem with this post is the way things are phrased - Ambition and success are code words for money - Do men really love women for who they are, when there is so much simping? Based off of this. You could go either way. But, my personal stance is that simping is really destructive behavior. It gives women the upper hand, with which they can make ridiculous demands

the problem with your reasoning is that no one would be allowed to respond, saying that something is irrelevant, because otherwise you will say it's in the wrong thread. this is too rigid

ok. it simply sounded like you were stating the same thing twice. i understand the point you are making now. i do think there is a difference between having pleasure as a goal and having pregnancy as a goal. the question in this title seems to confuse these. not that i think it's wise to avoid a contraception for pleasure. the problem with child support and carrying the pregnancy to term, is that men are helpless to the decision of women, which unfair

i disagree. this thread started with not taking measures to prevent pregnancy, without mentioning whether this applied to men or women. in which case it does not make sense for men specifically, to be helpless

what is the difference here between women getting pregnant, and men getting women pregnant?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
