Hmm that is honestly a very interesting perspective. But I think we are definitely having a misunderstanding. I don’t think you should stop exercising, I think it’s great you found an activity you enjoy and are striving for excellence. In my opinion a part of being driven towards some goal, as the video talks about, is learning how deal productively with challenges from others. For instance I like grappling and weightlifting. It would be fantastic to have a friend who enjoyed those things too, s…

Well it’s all good if you are busy. I’m just working this boring job, so thats why I got time to ask. But if you got the time, The video obviously generalizes, but also its an 8 minute on gender relations that ends with advice, so how could you not overgeneralize? So would just support a general ban on non-scholars talking about subjects they are interested in? Also ya he makes statements about how what women want is a product of their environment, but I think he does the same thing for men. Als…

He’s saying probably both. It’s nice to both be needed for what you can do and who you are. But also that those two things aren’t really that separate. Like when it comes to any part of your identity that you are just born with you essentially have 3 options 1. Embrace it 2. View it as unimportant 3. Try to change it. Using conventional meanings of the words, when a boy becomes a man, his system is suddenly inundated with Testosterone. So that is a part of our identity, We are Men so we have a l…

I dont understand your comment. Were you doubting his idea that women’s reliance on men’s strength has decreased, or accused him of being stupid for crying about it. Because in my view that trend is true, and he wasn’t whining about it, rather he was saying it’s actually a waste of time to whine. But I’d agree that the video was super repetitive.

Question: What’s so bad about it? Like it was pretty boring, pretty simplistic, but otherwise I think it’s a fine video.

Under the strictest of definitions data is data and anecdotes are anecdotes. But if you aren't using anecdotes to predict what will happen next, wtf are you doing. "Sir we need to go now, there is an active shooter in this building" "That is just an anecdote, give me hard data if you want time to believe you" "Sir I'd advise against using that zip line, one man just fell of it, I think it is broken" "Ha, idiot do a double blind experiment and then get back to me"

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
