Where in Australia are you from originally? I am in Brisbane and observe a small, but decent amount of women who are 6ft tall, particularly in the North and North-West of Brisbane. I am 6ft 1 myself, and in my 30's. I would be taller than 90% of people my age and older, though that advantage is disappearing against those under 30.

4-5 dates out of nearly 100 matches? I have been on dates with 5 different women in 2024, from about 40-50 matches. 4 of which went onto at least the second date, and 2 which went on for a few months afterwards. I'm probably around average for my area, as a 30M. I do swipe more selectively than most would. Basically if I wouldn't want to be caught out in town with them by people I know, I would swipe left.

5 foot 9 inch is about today's average height in the West. For someone born in your father's, or grandfather's era, it would have been slightly above average. Being tall simply means your joints will be rooted earlier than a shorter person.

I went out with friends on Saturday night. Was home asleep early on Friday night. Nightlife in general is dying out. In my city, which hasn't had the worst effects of the global downturn, there is a lot less money being thrown around. I'd rather be chilling at home, or the local bowls club, then waste $200 having a good night in the city.

People pay for convenience. The formula to work prices out, is usually 3x overheads. For me to have a curry, and rice, at a shop would cost $10+. But if I make it at home, $3/serve. That is why men learning to cook properly is so important. Over your life, it is the difference between a well padded savings account, and not.

We usually say "pushing above your weight" here in Australia. I can safely say that I've not seen a couple to whom that would apply to the man in years. Usually it is the man who is downgrading with the woman. Ironically, the most pleasant women are the more naturally beautiful ones. 4s to 6s are usually the most vile creatures, inside and out.

The worst thing about the Western dating market is how lopsided it is. 66% of women are overweight or obese. So that realistically takes out about the same percentage of women. So the other 34% have no incentive to be somewhat pleasant, as they have 3x the normal demand.

Whether it was appropriate to call an investigation so close to the election, and then can it abruptly was prudent, or not, it would not have had that much of an impact on the election.
