Some steps to texting I've learned through trial and error: Do NOT EVER be prompt and committed to a text conversation. Wait her out. If you're responding every 30 seconds and she's taking a while to respond then slow it down. You establish the speed at which you all converse via texting. If she's responding very quickly then it's alright to respond accordingly, but keep an eye out for push-pull situations. I've hit it off with a few movie dates, though the women were online dates and the majority of them want the same thing you want. Interesting you say that... I've always done the meal before to get to know each other, then hit the movie, then walk around afterward and talk about the movie/initiate a "Let's go back to my place" type conversation.
