well i have been working out for 5 years +, but i got very ill last summer and lost 15kg weight as I nearly died, so I am still recovering. I am very tall (200 cm or 6'7) and try to keep in shape, and have a buzzcut, i don't think I looked like an easy target or something, the guy was just completely insane and I was at the wrong point at the wrong time... i feel that any muscle i had was useless anyway but a sport like Krav Maga might be worth picking up for situations like this
