I’ve found what really helps is to be genuinely curious if the two of you are a good vibe or not. I don’t mean just by interaction and chemistry (which is a big thing), but early on you don’t actually know much about her - just that she looks good, where she works, etc, but that’s all so basic. Be genuinely curious about who she is as a person and if she fits the person you’re looking for, not the other way around.

I think point #3 is huge. When you’re genuinely curious and trying to learn things about other people, you completely shift your focus from being nervous to being curious. Being genuinely interested about her as a person (which brings you out of your insecure headspace), coupled with the fact that people love talking about themselves, is a recipe for awesome.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
