I'm not afraid, but like others said, I try to be aware of my surroundings day or night. If I sense something fishy, I just act accordingly. Better safe than sorry. One of the times I wasn't, I was mugged at knife point nearly touching my stomach by a drug addict and it could have gone really bad because he was unstable. This was in broad daylight, in a street I walked through almost every day, which is probably why I let my guard down. Never again.

Anyone else surprised that in the actual info graph, the number of male victims (1/10) is so close to the number of female victims (1/7)? I know it's something we always knew, but it's refreshing to see it accepted into other places.

Spanish feminists should be more worried about fighting the attempts of the government to pass the new abortion law. One that would put women's rights in the country 30 years back. Of course that would require actual work and not just nitpicking over the most pointless causes.

Rape is often about power and perpetrated by people with/seeking power over someone. As women get more power, situations like these will become more common and obvious to everyone.

Funnily enough, I've heard and met a lot of women that go on the pill to control their cycles better, have less side effects from their period, feel less "hormonal", control their acne, among other things. I doubt that many women suddenly would go off the pill if the men started using the pill, because they still get other benefits from it. This article is just pure trash.

I agree that it's good to maintain a certain level of skepticism, but if you are going to try to discard or discredit scientific findings, at least do it with your own scientific findings.

"Misandry Mermaid" I think that says it all.

Great work, it's always nice to have a reference at hand.

Eye for an eye makes the world go blind. Let's not go down that road.

It's great to see it being upvoted to the frontpage, having a lot of people share their stories and actually getting supportive words from other users. Little by little true equality in this matter will be achieved.

Misleading title. She was groped and responded. The fact that one of them pulled a knife makes me wish she would have kicked their asses better. I 100% support her actions on this and threads like this only make men look bad.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
