Just because culture may have an impact doesn't mean that there's no biological origin, and even then that's unlikely. Of twins that had at least one of the twins trans, it was found that Monozygotic twins find a 33% chance of being trans, compared to 2.6% of non-identical twins raised in the same family. That sounds pretty damning on the origin of it being biological in nature, albeit able to be triggered by environmental factors. Unless, of course, you were expecting identical twins to be 100%…

Actually his story is just another datapoint in the continuing knowledge of other intersex individuals and those with CAH and other related syndromes. David Reimer is exactly the case of where the body doesn't meet the mind, with a little extra mutilation on the side. I'd say his story is supportive of transitioning. I suppose, but most of these are mantle shifts. That's not uncommon for comics. But you wouldn't be wrong saying there's a trend towards more minority representation, but that's not wholly a bad thing if it is new characters (and it is for the most part). Kamila is fine. Reads more like teenage drama with a hint of ethnicity more than anything else. I imagine they either do that in these studies or list it as a limitation. But I won't say that for sure, and as such agree with you that is a contributing factor to wellness of life, but on the other hand if it's such a large component, then it doesn't matter if the kids have gay parents if they're well off then probably. How much of this is like saying that black people are the one that predominately commit crime and they should acknowledge it as to reduce it? If women are underrepresented in the statistics, that may very well lead to a bias that in a meaningful way results in more male arrests.
