I'm so glad you posted this. It's so awesome. :)

At 25, you're ahead of the game. Lots of guys I've seen discover it in their 30s and 40s. Just focus on improving yourself and your life.

Yup. It's amusing how much it bothers them that we're living for ourselves instead of opting to be dissed and then fleeced.

My life has never really hinged on women. I just have different priorities. If a woman was onboard with them, then great. If not, don't care.

If it works as a counterbalance against the constant cultural message of getting married, I'm all for it. And I mean it as a counterbalance, not as a mechanism for ending the institution of marriage. There are some people who do well in marriages, but in my experience most don't and I suspect that many men in our generation would have never married if it weren't for the persistent hammering of marriage propaganda. I wish the modern MGTOW community (and Youtube, and Reddit) existed when I was in …

Doesn't the photo kind of remind you of Dark Knight when Batman lands on the car roof and it just crumples in? That was pretty awesome. Yeah, honestly, I can't think of anything else to add to this.

Completely normal. Read some marriage horror stories, that'll pick you up.

Women are fine at arm's length, they're not evil like some guys make them out to be. Things that make me happy are freedom, control over my life, some solitude from time to time, and personal achievement. Women aren't allowed anywhere those areas in my life and they had been removed from them many years ago. Beyond that, they're just fine.

Is this really MGTOW, though? This issue with videogames has been around since the late 90's with Everquest (although never on this scale). I'm happy to think of it as MGTOW, just wondering. PlayStation VR is coming out in a couple of weeks, too. I don't think people outside of gaming and MGTOW are going to be happy about it. Can't wait, though.

I think the trouble of having kids would be worth it with a helluva woman, and even then you still need to do a cost/benefit analysis. I've never met this kind of women, though.

I'm in my 40s, loneliness isn't a problem. I still have my own family (parents and siblings, I mean), friends, co-workers, and I have a routine on the weekends to get out and stay busy. How does the Dalai Lama handle loneliness? The same way, I imagine. Also, try to remember that we're probably talking about a long time from now. We're getting ready to roll out driverless cars, I can imagine what will exist in a few decades. I don't let the fear of the future direct my present. All I know is tha…

Getting cheated on. I didn't care about the gf, I got rid of her immediately, but I found having a serious relationship with a woman was impossible and I could feel my sanity slipping. I didn't want to spend my life wondering what my wife or gf was doing when they weren't returning my phone calls, how money was being spent, what I was legally on the hook for that was out of my control. It's not for me. I've been completely satisfied since putting women in a different place in my personal life. I…

Love and relationships involve compromise, no matter the age you live in. MGTOW believe that the negatives vastly outnumber the positives in a modern committed relationship; the exposure to risk is infinite and the positives, in my view, are none. I regret every relationship I've been in, complete wastes of time that didn't help me in life at all. Thankfully, I've never been married so the lessons didn't cost very much and I had learned them by my mid 30s. Based on what Europeans in this sub pos…

I only buy what I need, and I question my needs a lot. I CAN buy luxury, but I never do. Buy furniture and clothes that fulfill their intended purpose, luxury goods are a pain to maintain and a time waster. Function over form, every single time.

Yeah, you gotta be aware of your surroundings. If you're waiting in line at a supermarket and stuff like this goes down, 2 options 1) get out of line with your cart and roam around the store for 15 minutes until the coast is clear, or 2) ditch the cart and get out of the store. I like option 1 best, that way I can finish my grocery shopping. She picked him, she can deal with it.

Validation from women used to pretty much be the point for guys, you're not alone. But that's done. The issue with women is the same as other things in life. Your car doesn't work anymore, replace it. Don't like your job, change it. Serious relationships bad for you? Get rid of them. It's just another problem to solve. I don't think the Dalai Lama gets his validation from women, there are other ways. Plus you get to keep all your stuff and sanity. I'll tell you that when I stopped caring what wo…

This is something about modern women that ruins it for me. There was a time 40 years ago, believe it or not, when women were concerned with grace and manners and their public image. You can see it even in female character roles in older movies - being able to speak and act properly was a big deal once. Today, women get offended by everything. If you hold a door for them, if you respond "please" or "thank you", if you do anything to be helpful. I don't do it anymore, I just ignore them completely…

You're going to be disappointed. When women aren't involved, men's lives pretty much go according to plan. This is the early period of MGTOW and we're still living in a blue piller's world - the golden age.

I won't lie, it's given my life focus. I used to focus on women, but discovered that it was wasted on them. Maybe one day I'll meet a real woman worth my time and energy, but honestly I think it would be easier to find the ark of the covenant. In the meantime, I'll continue to do all the things a married man should do - work, save, plan for the future, help the less fortunate, constantly improve in my chosen profession, and be an asset to my family and society.

MGTOW, I think, is hetero guys rejecting the traditional marriage arrangement in the modern age because they get nothing out of it. Not sure how that would work for LGBT - but whatever. The LGBT movement isn't exactly traditional (yet). Plenty of space for everyone, I guess.

Yeah, but the argument, "be with nice guys because they're the real winners" doesn't wash either. If a woman, deep down inside, is by her nature more attracted to bad boys, that's pretty important to know because the nice guy is still just another wallet to them in the end. I prefer to live in a world where the women are so obvious about their natural quality and tastes so that I can avoid bad boy chasers (which is all of them, really) completely. Still, in the long run let's face it; being a "n…

The doormat thing, in particular, is a trap because women don't actually like doormat guys. They say they do, but it's bullshit. Women like dominent men. If you're looking to impress women, the best thing you can do is never put yourself in a position where you need to take shit from anyone. It's humiliating to a man's dignity.

The MGTOWer's number 1 problem seems to be an overabundance of time. We're still living in a blue piller's world and the world is built to reflect the needs of their more demanding schedule. It's a dream come true for the rest of us. There are just so many options. Just make a list of things you enjoy or always wanted to do and work your way through it.

I'm the same way - I don't want the headaches and have more important things to do than babysit a girlfriend. One thing that comes up in this sub is that parents back off after the first cheating incident. That's when they start to understand the problem (for some reason).

I agree with the theory (speaking as a nerd in his 40s). The best kind of man, to a woman, is malleable and easily directed. That doesn't work on men who are dedicated to reason. Some nerds get married regardless because they can't be alone - I've heard them describe it as being "tethered". I can't relate, my world needs to make sense.

I read her statement and I had to stop because I was laughing too hard. That said, the message itself is correct and I'm not waiting 20 years for science to confirm it. MGTOW is a view, an outgrowth of the role of the modern woman in a man's life - not a movement. Perhaps MGTOW will one day be a given, men by default will go there own way until some woman can step up and fulfill a need in a man's life. Today, its views are helping a generation of men who grew up on gynocentric propaganda realign themselves and find meaning without women. Many MGTOW are straight-up women haters and often they have good reasons to be disenfranchised. But not all MGTOW are, some s…

I don't take an issue at all with her accomplishments. A couple of things. She's an MD and the world needs MDs. This isn't someone who studied basket weaving in university and is now a team lead in some department somewhere. In the first place, life doesn't suck. It's amazing. Every guy has interests besides women. Just think about the long list of things women hate that guys do and go do them. Travel, exercise, read, plan for your future, keep good health, buy a nice car, have friends - just live. If you don't like the town you live in, it's just another problem to solve. Nah. Survival is biological. Feminism had it's place 40-50 years ago when women were being beaten and abused. If I were in that position, I'd be mad as hell too. But they burned the whole house down, I just don't know what they were thinking. Just pick a lane, already - either men are useless and you want nothing to do with them or they're useful and you should learn to live with them. It's just misguided bullshit at this point.

Have you ever noticed how good men can be at solving problems? Remember Star Trek in the 60s, when Kirk and Spock would go down to the planet surface and use communicators to talk to the Enterprise in orbit? Forty years later, we're walking around with smart phones. Antiquity wondered why man couldn't fly. Then the Wright brothers found a way. It always starts with a complaint. Men get this thing in their heads like, "What if I could communicate better over long distances?" and "Why can't I soar…

People go MGTOW because women are not fitting into a man's life the way they used to. It's an easier issue to understand if you go back 50 years and see the difference between what used to be and what we have today. And women make the same argument about men as well, but it doesn't work in reverse. A good woman can seriously take a man's game up. I've never met a woman who became better at life by meeting a man, their traditional need was to have a solid guy so that she could build a family and …

Agree with you completely. I've not seen those threads but maybe I've not read deeply enough into some discussions. MGTOW is not a movement, it's a rejection of the status quo - for better or worse. Infidelity is devolved behavior, only an evolved person honors their commitments to their spouses, families and society.

It's odd, isn't it. Women will put on a ton of makeup and then call other people ugly. I was reading a post where some guy mentioned that he goes swimming on his first dates. Some women still look good without, but most don't. I'm leery of any woman who cakes it on. Anyway, in the case of Adele, people like her for the right reasons; she's talented.

I don't know what all these women in their 30s on dating websites are going to do about guys dropping out of the marriage game because of stuff like this. Not my problem.

They did you a favor, don't let it bother you. Take good care of your health and get your life in order, these are things you can control. And find someone who isn't warped.

If you had any feelings for her, probably longer. But that's something you have to work out solo. There are WAY bigger mistakes you can make with women, don't lose any sleep over it - trust me.

Well, guys SHOULD know how to change a tire and do work around the house. She's got a point. I used to change tires for a living (a long time ago), it sucks for sure. But I've done it. A guy should be able to do light household electrical work and plumbing and also preventative maintenance on the car (and know how to use a voltmeter). Put down the Xbox controller and learn how to install a ceiling fan, guys. The girl's right.
