Standard advice when doing financial planning is to assume you'll get 50% of what the gov't promises. Anything above that is sweet gravy.

Just my property taxes are over $500/ month Just the other day I was bitching about my $800/month rent (I live in a "non-sexy" large city in the midwest).... now I feel kinda bad LOL.

I'd pay down the condo as fast as you can, stay debt free, and have a healthy amount of savings. Invest the rest. This way if the shits hits the fan at work you don't have a single worry. Many married men are up to their eyeballs in debt due to their wives' frivolous spending. As an MGTOW you don't have that weighing you down.

Take care of yourself. Lift, run, eat clean, and dress well. Don't be an overweight slob. Strive for financial independence by age 45. If you absolutely have to hook up with women, do it with hookers in a country where it's legal (e.g. Costa Rica). Keep your mind sharp and keep developing yourself. Read, write, learn a new language, travel, learn new skills. Stop bashing women and just ignore them. Don't be a perpetual depressed debbie downer. Focus on the positive aspects of MGTOW. Stop trying …

I agree 100%. I've been MGTOW since 2009. The movement was smaller, but the guys were a lot more dedicated. Now that MGTOW has become a bit more mainstream, it has definitely lost a lot of its appeal. Discussions back when I started revolved around hobbies, living off the grid, ways of reducing dependence on females, health & working out, early retirement, sports etc. Now there are people posting questions about online dating in this sub... WTF. I've seen "MGTOW" on here claim that cohabitation …

Unless it's with a prostitute and preferably in a far-away country where it's completely legal, no way

If she fucks off and calls you a pig, so what? And if she accuses you of rape? Assault? Starts calling you and your coworkers at work? Starts stalking you? Gives you an STD? Gets pregnant?

True. IIRC AirBnB offers short term stays as well. Probably a lot less hassle.

I've actually looked into this quite a bit. Seems like 7-10 years is the break even point assuming modest home appreciation. If there's a housing crash when you need to sell, you'll be screwed. I know a guy who bought a home circa 2005, lived there for 9 years, and was $20k underwater when he sold it since prices still hadn't recovered (plus the money he had to put into it.) There are a ton of costs associated with selling, buying, and moving.

I've seen 3 and 6 month leases offered in my major metro area, even by legit management companies. Although per month they are usually a lot more expensive than 12 month leases.

Just to throw out another idea: Sometimes you can do quite well by buying an existing business, especially if it's established, has decent financials, and there's obvious room for improvement. Years ago my uncle bought an existing business that was borderline profitable for super cheap. He renegotiated all contracts with suppliers, lenders, shippers, distributors etc., laid off the bottom 10% of employees, and reconfigured production to increase margins. He made his money back quickly and takes …

Great choice. I know guys that 'caught' this in their 40s and 50s, when it's pretty much too late to change the course of the ship. You're going to do great.

To me the biggest benefit of MGTOW is the ability to become financially independent at a relatively early age. Live below your means and save/invest as much as you can. The biggest leverage you'll ever have in life is the ability to walk away because you don't need the money.

Good question. There are a lot of opinions out there. A very very rough rule of thumb is that you can comfortably retire when you have 25 times your annual expenses saved up. Most would argue you should have 35-40x your annual expenses saved up if retiring early. I'm personally shooting for 1.0 million in liquid assets (cash + investments) and a paid off home (currently worth $180k) before completely retiring. This would allow me to comfortably live on $25k/yr in dividends alone in a place like …

I personally wouldn't get involved. You've chosen a great career (I'm in a similar field) and will have a bright future, and this will be even better with you're enthusiasm for the subject. You'll make good money and have lots of job opportunities, and will likely work with very few women. Keep it up.

I actually was thinking about this a few weeks ago and am very torn. One one hand, I don't want to see men screwed over. If someone asked me about my lifestyle, I'd gladly share my philosophy, tips, thoughts etc. On the other hand, every time a movement gets too big, it also starts to suck. When I first got into MGTOW around 2009/2010, there was one forum (don't remember the name, but remember there was a user on there by the name of "Happy Ghost") filled with hardcore, life-long MGTOW guys. Now…

I've always preferred to focus more on the benefits of staying single and living the MGTOW lifestyle, rather than on bashing women. In fact, I don't actually even "hate" all women. I simply enjoy my life much more without being attached to one.

There are guys in miserable marriages who would absolutely love to feel "lonely", but can't leave due to $$, kids, family pressure, no balls etc. Make friends. Maintain good relations with family members. Join online communities. Volunteer. Travel around and meet new people. For example, learning a new language is a great way to meet people (both online and in real life) while keeping your mind sharp. Aim for financial independence at an early-ish age. Focus on making a good life for yourself - …

But at the same token, a MGTOW lifestyle is inherently lonely I know married men who would kill to feel lonely again, but can't because of kids, $$, or lack of balls. It's easy to avoid the problems that come with being single. It's not easy to avoid the problems that come with being married.

IMO Latin America is better, much sexier women (IMO.) Because of the close proximity and minimal time zone differences, it's easy to squeeze in a 3-4 day trip to somewhere like Colombia or the Dominican Republic. Germany not so much.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
