Just having a job to get up for in the morning is enough. It doesn't have to be a great job. As long as it's not one that tears you down. I just went through a bout of unemployment and I started drinking to fill the days. It's not a good way to live.

I understand what you're saying. A judge would probably look at it differently. I've seen cases like this in the news and the guy is on the hook for the original amount he was making. Just switching jobs to get out of payments is obvious and won't work. What about leaving your job for stress or some mental health claim? Alcoholism maybe. Just medically document it up the wazoo. I used to volunteer as a STEM tutor at a community center. Of course the place is a complete leftist SJW oriented women run racket skimming off of tax payers. But I enjoyed helping younger people. Then I had a couple of pretty uncomfortable sessions with two younger women who "identified as non-binary" and made it clear they had issues with men. That was that. No way am I going near that crap. They're on their own.
