a woman's whole life is a long series of gift-receiving. they are deluded into thinking they deserve gifts all the time. advertising doesn't help either.

this is so true. I hate criticizing myself for the idea of needing to "man up." No, I don't have to be like my dad and my uncles and put on the ball and chain of marriage. It's more manly to GYOW

I would say "it's important to have a social life no matter what" but I'm living the same way and friends and acquaintances just tire me out rather than contribute positively to my life. The internet is great because we can communicate with people we share interests with, instantaneously. It has forever changed social relationships.

If we are truly equal, then why is there an expectation that men should still pay for women? Double standard

my relationship with my mom is similar. I feel like in the past two generations, with the rights and privileges women have gained, they have passed this new-found power dynamic onto the mother-son relationship. The son cannot thrive in this new environment where the mother rules the house. My mom always had the upper hand on my dad, and this power dynamic was used against me in my relationship with her. Unfortunately, AWALT, including our mothers. Seeing how my mom treated my dad in their marr…

The female construction workers in that hypothetical country would pour over the border seeking refuge in the male-run country, and they would be welcomed in, given homes by simps, and never have to work a day for the rest of their lives.

I meant how can I have kids while also being able to see them? A biological mother can restrict me from ever seeing my kids if she wants.

i was thinking of doing something like this. I feel like a wet nurse is really important because breastfeeding is so much healthier than bottle-feeding.

damn. i want kids one day, i might have to do this. But I have to get over that nagging feeling that the kids need a mom. I had a mom and she was awful.

The hardest thing ever is trying to resist that biological imperative of wanting to mate with someone, especially after you pair-bonded with her. Only time and distance will wear down that bond. Don't fall into the trap of sitcom versions of romance; they're fake. Any media-created portrayal of love is false. You can never give in, because AWALT. She will burn you, take you for everything you're worth, and not care. Men are the romantics, not women, and the harsh truth is that she doesn't care a…

This. Don't date anyone seriously in college. It will distract you so much from your studies. Just have hookups and one night stands if you need to quench your thirst. You'll notice most people opt for this on campus anyway. The people who are in long-term, committed relationships during their undergrad years are doing it wrong.

Go to community college for 2 years and then transfer to a state school and pay in-state tuition. It will save you a lot of money., Or get your degree in another country if you are comfortable with that. Germany has free higher education, for foreigners, taught in English. There are other countries with free or ridiculously cheap tuition. That's what I'd do if I were 18 again. Do *not* take out student loans.

I've been hanging out with female relatives my age recently and their life is sooo different from men's now in this regard. Constant attention on social media. A long line of horny men ready to shower them with attention, money and dick. So much attention that they can't even sift through it all. Then take the average man. No one is constantly blowing up his phone, telling him how good he looks, offering to take him out for free. He does not get to sit at his phone and evaluate all of his option…

Don't try to be friends with women. They get plenty of attention and social support just by existing. They won't value you as a friend. Befriend men. They are usually lonely and need companionship.

This just made me think of the centuries women have duped men into thinking they had it hard cooking all day. Cooking is fucking fun, and women suck at it even though it's all they're supposed to do.

my dad is throwing himself headlong into a new relationship after getting burned by my mom for 25 years of marriage plus divorce. It becomes ingrained in them- the need for a woman. He's a genius at everything else though.

I think anger and violence show her that the man is hooked on her successfully, which means he will be willing to do whatever she wants for him. This is a sign of her successful programming of him. They say the opposite of love isn't hate, it's apathy. A man who doesn't get mad is apathetic ultimately, which means he doesn't value her or the relationship enough. This makes him useless to her because he might not be willing to provide for her.
