I'm sorry for your pain. Sometimes when people walk out of our lives it hurts so much we don't see the possibility that comes with it. I don't think the two of you value the same ideals. You want to work on the marriage she wants to be free to explore. It hurts right now but it won't feel this way forever. There is likely someone out there whose values and needs are more aligned with your own.

Wrong. Taking responsibility for your actions is one of the ways humans grow.

Be careful. There are a lot of genuine, true crimes about women who hide this kind of financial deception. Many of them attempted to murder their husbands or hired someone else to do it.

In that case, maybe you shouldn't be trying to reconcile. You should just divorce and keep it business.

What do you mean you're trying everything to reconcile? Does she want to reconcile?

Let her go. She doesn't realize how good she's got it.

It's hard to learn from a mistake you don't think you made. Op how do YOU feel about how everything turned out? If you're happy to be out of the marriage. Okay. If you're wondering why everything seems to be crashing around you, maybe you messed up.

Why would you want to stay? You aren't attracted to her and care so little you had an affair. Why not just be honest about your lack of attraction and inability to give her intimacy?

I think it's a lot about her not having equal say in parenting decisions.

She's not a healthy person or a good wife. If you don't grow the courage to stand up to her, this will be your life forever.

You left her. She didn't try to hurt you at all. You wanted the divorce. What else is she to do but move on?

Also, depending on where you live, if you file and you can prove her alcohol issues, SHE could end up having to pay the lawyer. She is drinking crazy and unstable. You should go for majority custody and get child support and alimony if y'all are married. Let the courts know her addiction caused the divorce.

What about legal aid?

You should probably divorce her or at least let her know that's where things are headed. It's not fair to the kids to see their mother drunk all the time. Id talk to her when she's sober and let her know if this doesn't end, the marriage will. She needs to seek professional help and may even need medical detox. If she's unwilling to do this it may be time for a lawyer. Someone has to advocate for your kids and looks like it's going to have to be you.

Who's name is on the house? You can legally evict anyone even a spouse through the right channels.

Exactly. You are choosing someone who will enter a covenant between the two of you and God. It's a spiritual promise and it matters. I am starting to realize just how much. My own marriage and my own walk has faith has struggled just like yours.

No matter how she responds you know what you have to do. You already know how destructive this type of spiritual inequality can be. You're going to have to just do it. I've been where you are and it's not pleasant. I would never again date someone who's faith doesn't align with my own. It just doesn't work. I applaud you for responding to the prompting of The Holy Spirit and recognizing what must be done. It IS NOT easy to overcome the desires of the flesh.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
