In my case it's always been one of two reasons: (1) I was borderline interested ...and then lost interest (no message)....and then regained interest (message after a long absence). I know it's frustrating and unfair to the woman who offered me a chance but that's how I was feeling. (2) Got into an introverted state and don't have the energy to be social.
