Not sure about equal treatment. If that were a dude, the cop might have needed to perform the throw with a better technique instead of only using his upper body.

I agree there is some discrimination there. However, seeing this from another point of view; girls being taught self-defense is actually a better approach to women's safety contrasted to the attitude that "All men should be taught not to rape." instead.
