The tax code is complex and Trump is looking to simplify it, including by eliminating the Head of Household tax filing status. But this is a filing status used often by divorced men, when they are paying more than 50% of children's expenses. If they are now forced to instead file as Single, they'll pay about $1000 more in taxes.

In the courts' eyes, fathers already have equal rights to the mothers - specifically zero, as all the rights go to the child (who "of course" would be better off with the mother). It'll be interesting to see how far they get framing it as equal rights with the mother, as jurisprudence would suggest they need equal rights with the children, and that would be a tough battle.

Actually, as Palin pointed out, Lena Dunham is the one who outed her sister as a victim. In the case of the Duggar sisters, it was some law enforcement insider who illegally leaked sealed juvenile files, together with a cooperating media.
