Yeah it's almost like they were getting death threats or something.

Gender is a social construct, sex is biogical. So a trans person isnt trying to change their sex, that's not possible obviously. They want to change how they're perceived by society. That's also why it's so rude to misgender a trans person or refuse to call them by anything but their birth name/deadname. It's disrespectful to them and how they wish to be perceived.

For the record, either way they've got guns and are killing innocent people. Just because they've been kidnapped themselves doesn't make them any less dangerous.

I don't know. That's why I'm asking. I seriously genuinely don't know here, this is all out of curiosity.

Well gee thanks for pointing that out to me. I was curious as to what the legal term for it would be, rape or sexual assault. Like I said, genuine curiosity, ENTIRELY hypothetical. But I'm glad you're here to tell me that brilliant advice.

I assure you it's purely out of curiosity.

Here's a hypothetical question (I'm not saying this is what happened, just a hypothetical)- if instead of "bumping into her," as apparently happened in the story OP gave, the man had instead fingered her through her panties, would that be rape? Or would it be sexual assault? Or... What's the difference? Genuine question, not trying to imply anything here.

From what I heard, op forgot to look for an IOI, and to try to make conversation and he completely ignored the escalation ladder. He just walked up to random girls and put his arm around them. Not cool, bro.

Wasn't there something a few months ago where a guy tried to do exactly that and while he was gone the girl had the locks changed?

They DO write good articles. I'm using the "13 ways it's unlucky to be male" article as a starting point for a speech I'm giving about men's rights. But that article about the protester REALLY pissed me off. Specifically because we were against doxxing when Gawker did it, but when AVFM did it, it's ok.

Well... aside from the conspiracy theories, I think they do have a point.

... Im still a little put off by it. We were against the doxxing of violentacrez, and I don't think this is any different. I really wouldn't call her a public figure.

If she had identified herself as that, that would be one thing. But instead they actively seeked out her personal information in order to publish it. I don't think that's right.

Honestly, I haven't liked A Voice For Men lately. I liked the "13 ways men are unlucky" article. They went too far by doxxing Danielle Sandhu. We thought it was wrong when Gawker doxxed ViolentAcrez, right? Well we can't say it's now ok for this girl's personal information to be put out on the internet, no matter what it was she did. I don't agree with what AVFM did, and I hope this reaches AVFM.

Can you please find this AMA? I'm writing a speech for a Speech Arts class and would LOVE to back it up with some sources

I can see right from the link that I'm not going to click that. Jezebel link. I meant the women's only stuff.

Can I ask for citations and names of the specific organizations that promote this? It's not that I don't believe these are real (I do) but I'm writing a speech for a Speech Arts class and I'd like to write it about Men's Rights and it would really help if I was able to cite specific instances of this. Thanks!

are you in a relationship? Then worry about the bases. Otherwise it's usually a little different and more straightforward.

I think claiming it's the default would imply that all transgenders were originally one gender. Which is true. You aren't BORN transgender (physically)

Yeah it's hard to explain stuff like that. I personally think I'm gonna go with hockey player (for the lockout) or Engineer from Tf2. If a girl asks, I'm a.. well engineer works but maybe I'll say construction worker

Frankly, I'd tell her straight up, "look, if you're flirting, awesome, but let's do it outside of the interview. If our roles were switched, I'd probably be portrayed as a sexist pig."
