The entire push for fat acceptance is bizarre to me. I get not being mean, but advocating being overweight or obese as a healthy lifestyle? I just saw a Facebook share where the author is telling moms not to say anything to their daughters about their body, nothing. This was the advice after telling moms the only acceptable comments are "you look amazing/great/good." The human body wasn't designed to carry significant weight, at least for most people of the world. I can see some weight not being…

You make some valid points. The only issue I have is that while it is true to point out the whys on a personal level, this really only needs to be done when asked and/or as a response to a news paper article or whatever. In the past, on the sub at least, too many posts just came across as angry guys who want to 'let everyone know why' when really, no one was asking and most of the stuff they said has been written a thousand times already on that sub and other forums. Another issue is the battle …

I strongly believe many Hollywood, elite marriages are completely for show or having kids. I’m not sure how much romantic love factors into the marriage. At some point people have to realize that marrying a young 20 something is just of big of risk as marrying an older woman who has managed to stay in shape. Many people are claiming she basically was a prostitute in some form or fashion. Thing is, they don’t care. Do people really think Harry was some innocent guy? Hell there are photos of him r…

I never know why anyone cares about the upper 10% of the rich elite, celebs, etc.. Using that group of people as an example of anything that affects the vast majority just seems stupid. Anyway, the only real concern one should have is if they are actively sleeping with an older woman, having unsafe sex, and believing the woman will stay on her birth control. Basically the biggest issue would be to date someone who is absolutely desperate for a family and time is running out. Not sure if this is …

The weight issue is going to impact many men and women. People are being sold this idea that fat is sexy and beautiful. Look at the “plus size” models for Sports Illustrated and Victoria’s Secret. At the same time, there is no embracing the fat man. His huge belly or man boobs are mocked even today. This is giving some women the idea that no matter their body every guy should find them attractive, but that just isn’t how things are. So some of these women are demanding in-shape guys while being …

I like to watch the contract cases on The People's Court show. Between those cases are usually some drama filled cases that I usually fast forward through. Well, one of them had "normal" looking people testifying, so I decided to watch it. The guy has a nice car, takes his current gf to a pool party. She claims he was taking photos or vids of other women, specifically their asses. A fight ensues, I guess he ends it then, who knows. She claims that he took her phone and jumped over the back seat …

I'm from the conservative Midwest, which is considered like the south (bible belt) by some. That being said, the internet has really spread every single lifestyle to anywhere with a connection. People no longer feel they have to hide, fear being themselves, etc.. Most people, even in my more conservative state, no longer care about gay/straight stuff. Most likely wouldn't be comfortable seeing two men or women making out on a park bench, but I think it is mostly because in recent times it was ju…

You must get over this. It took me decades to realize this. For fifteen years I was with my wife, so this didn't harm me. However, in my recent years, I've made the decision to be more social. That has shown me just how open women can be when talking about sex. One-on-one with past gfs wasn't a huge issue for me, but I was still nervous. It took a while to build up the nerve to talk about it face-to-face. Texting though, it is like the flood gates open. Just be open. Talk about pleasure, about h…

You have to talk sex with women, you just do. I always had trouble with that. It felt odd for me, but I was able to get there, but not like I should. Be direct when the time is right. Ask them if they have any kinks, “special” tats or piercings, etc.. Offer yours up in conversation. If a girl seems DTF, finally just come out and/or tell her it is time to have sex and see where it goes. If she wants to date first, give it no more than a few dates and if she isn’t offering sex, move to someone els…

I didn’t come of age in the instant on-demand porn era but was a few years shy. Even w/o porn I suffered through my teen years with general thoughts and chronic masturbaton. Finally when I was almost 20 I came out of my mostly introverted shell, but the damage was done. While I could talk to women, and get the attention of girls who were cute, good shape, I was so focused on wanting a virgin girl that I tried to find the unicorn like me, not just a virgin, but minimal intimate experiences. For f…

I agree. I think parents need to be more open with their kids about life in general. I never got the talk of "You need to go out and do more, experience life." I was also raised seeing three older relatives who lived at home until my elders passed away. One actually finally left and had kids, but she was almost forty before she had her awakening. The other two never married and live alone now.

It is important for all young people to be with similar aged peers, to learn to socialize, and to maybe get insights on life that they might not get from home. Parents of friends can even help with this as well. I leaned more introverted and self-sufficient growing up. I had one best friend in high school for the early part. But when he met his gf when he turned sixteen, he mostly disappeared (we still saw each other here and there, but he mostly was with her most of the time, and I never really…

I know, but I said it. But my wife has such a bad social anxiety issue that there is no way she'd leave. Things bottle up and I say these sort of things. I pity her and feel bad for her, so I can't leave. Maybe I say these things in hopes she will finally be the one to initiate a divorce, but she won't, because then all she'll have in her life is her parents.

My wife used to nag a lot. The threat of divorce though, that really got to her. I sometimes would yell, even curse her. My wife is so scared of losing me though, she'll never leave me, no matter how horrible I would be to her. I honestly don't know if she'd leave if I had an affair. I've said things like, "I deserve so much better than you." or "I wish I would've never met out." Still, she cries, takes it, and basically begs me to not leave or have an affair. Her issues are that she just focuse…

A warning to all, the OP speaks the truth. My wife is the so called "unicorn" that guys seem to want. Both of us were late bloomers in life. Her anxiety though is 1,000x worse than an average person who might suffer somewhat from anxiety (ie: Me). I was the guy who had issues with the past of women. Four years of dating, searching for my first LTR, I wanted the girl to be someone I could relate with. My wife fit the bill. Since she was still in school, I didn't see her OCD issues. I knew she was…

If we are talking about a case where a person didn't commit a crime, I can tell you that not talking to the police can be to ones detriment. If one is accused of a sexual assault, in most cases we aren't talking about the guy who goes out and is a serial rapist. We're talking about what is usually called "date rape" or "acquaintance rape." These are usually interactions where two people know each other or are connected in some fashion (friend of a friend). In many cases alcohol consumption and/o…

Work with college aged folks. There are some good and some bad. In the last two years, a handful of 22-23 year olds getting engaged/married. Defiantly a change from the last 2-20 years I've been involved in the field. Their mentality is hit or miss. My field gets the straight arrows and the adrenaline junkies, jocks and nerds, alphas, betas, and omegas. For some, they change from one persona to another. Alex had good advice. Like me, you worry too much about what others, even specific individuals, think about you on a personal level. This worry is what leads folks like us to clam up, not open up, which causes a never ending circle of behavior. All you have to do is stay clean, workout and keep an athletic figure, wear clothing that fits, and get over fear of rejection. Once you get confidence in yourself, people will see that and they will respect that. I'm 40 and in the best shape of my life. …

I was just like you. I stayed home for college with my low key, shy friends. For many young people, drinking helps them open it. This doesn't mean drinking to get hammered. When I went away for a college program on a traditional campus, I drank for the first time. Drinking while socializing completely changed how I interacted with and viewed strangers. I got my first gf that summer at 20, finally getting over my fear of rejection. Unfortunately I would somewhat relapse after the program when I w…

I wish I would've been told this and some other things in my youth. One, that virginity and how one loses it is overrated. People lose it all sorts of ways, the whole Disney type dream of two teens losing it to each other drove me to avoid women who had been there, done that. Worst mistake of my life. Another issue is that young people need to stop being told that sexuality among teens is immoral and "not right." I took this to an extreme, and now deal with living with regret because it complete…

If a guy is willing to have sex with a doll, he likely would be fine paying to have sex with a real woman. Even if it is illegal in his area, there are too many places where a guy could travel to on vacation every couple of months and have sex. It is somewhat shocking, but two states in the US have introduced actual bills to legalize, with regulation, prostitution.

You might be correct, however the primal urges are found in all humans for the most part. Doesn't matter religion or race really. Just within the last few days a Saudi woman was arrested for wearing a miniskirt. There is talk in that very controlled nation of maybe giving women more rights. The cat is out of the bag thanks to the internet and international studies. The younger folks exposed to hookup, casual relationship culture will likely reject the "old ways.". Within a generation their kids …

This is really to be expected with the way the international economy runs. Even within countries people need to move around for jobs. Many want to experience life in a big city like NYC, LA, or San Fran. The thing is, many don't necessarily want to stay there forever. Some people lived in a boring geographic area and they eventually want to move to the mountains or near an ocean. Is it any wonder why more and more people avoid relationships and marriage prospects are getting bleaker by the year?…

I have three male relatives in their mid-30s to mid-40s who were very promiscuous in their youth. While they had periods of serious, committed LTRs, none have ever married. One got out of shape and started to basically just LTR after 30 never fully committing for whatever reason. He lives with his current gf. Another might move a gf in and the other seems to be a forever bachelor. All these guys are good productive citizens, have degrees, and great jobs. One had a kid out-of-wedlock, one wants a…

This video has been posted in various forums a few times. It is nothing more than typical drunken guys who aren't thinking logically because they drank too much. All of them look stupid. The taller guy thinks he is a "man" standing up for the oppressed woman. The other guy wants to argue about something near his eye and that is why he called her a name. The two shorter dudes can't fight for nothing, and did the one guy really say his dad is on the way? Then after the cops got him he cries out, "…

Great photo. I grew up mostly avoiding larger crowds in my mid-teens: Drinking parties, gatherings (sporting events,), etc.. I also didn't have a very good understanding of the US/world outside of my suburban rust belt state life. Even though I lived urban, I always enjoyed simple road trips through the more rural areas of our state. There is just something about being alone, or with really small groups, in areas where people are far and few between. Great geography is an added bonus. During col…

It all depends on how the individuals giving answers view "sex." For example, forty years ago, if you asked someone how many "partners" they had, the common thought process might to include anyone and everyone, even one night stands. For all we know, this younger generation sees partner=serious relationship, so we have no idea if they are including ONSs and the like. The reason this might be so is because US pop culture pushes that casual sex is just like scratching an itch. You gotta have it, s…
/r/TheRedPill13/02/17 01:22 PM

This is what folks don't understand. Even if you can't get a one night stand (which pre-wide spread social media was usually alcohol induced in the vast majority of cases) it actually isn't that hard for a guy with x SMV to get a girl at a similar SMV for a STR. I don't think doing the pump and dump, even over the long term, is all that nice, but at the same time, not every relationship has to possibly lead to marriage. Most average guys could date most average girls for three to four months and…

I think this post has some good information, but it paints a much more bleak look at things than what I grew up with. I was from a family with three kids. I was a social introvert but my siblings were very social and into the party/social scene. My folks weren't rich and all of us kids had jobs once we hit 16. My brother and sister still managed to be active in some sports with their jobs. They also both went to at least one high school spring break and also at least one college spring break. Sp…

Thankfully I have an OK job. Pay is so-so, benefits are still good, but have taken a hit and the future is iffy on that front. I'm almost 40, have a worthless college degree for the most part. It did help me make a bit more money, for a few years, at my job (an education incentive, but additional years of service will get a GED holder the same financial benefit, just takes longer). I didn't grow up with college parents and most of my extended family don't have college. Many have gotten some othe…

Just give it ten to fifteen years. That is when today's 20 year old will be 30-35. We will either see this younger generation finally tell the hedonistic flag waving leftist to shut-up about the greatness of casual sex, drunken hookups, etc. and they might get married, or they might have such baggage between the partners that hardly any of them get married. Also will need to watch for the out-of-wedlock birth rate for people with good paying jobs and those with higher education, two groups that …

The article was pretty good actually. It tells how a pro-hedonistic culture is harming relationship formation. How one engages in, or maybe misses out on, relationships in their youth will play a big part in how they engage, or not engage, in future relationships. While the marriage rate has ticked up a bit in recent years, it is still way down from decades ago. It will be really interesting to watch what happens to that rate over the next ten or so years.

Still no reason not to take care of yourself. If the marriage is destined to crash and burn, so be it. At least by changing one's attitude, appearance, etc., the guy will be in a better position to date or whatever, if he so desires.

I like all the articles that show him running around with a group of "models." Writers talk about how he is so generous when he is seen out shopping with them and just buying them all these "gifts" from high end fashion stores. The guy just doesn't care because he can have it all: LTR, STR, casual.

This article states the original author of the Thought Catalog article is Isabel Chalmers. A person using the same name is still writing articles though, just nothing personal from what I can tell. This show is likely the reason many big city young women will have a very hard time finding a mate. Is it any surprise that we keep seeing articles from 30 and 40 year old women about why they are alone and how men won't grow up? Many of these very social college women who want to move to the big city and run the social scene pretty much live a perpetual spring break lifestyle. They engage in all sorts of relationships and every new guy, hookup or LTR, is just more baggage they accrue. Meanwhile…

While this is true, the clients are just guys looking for what is essentially someone to assist with masturbation. While most articles I've read claim that escorts will say only something like 10-20% of the clients they would find attractive, it might not be even that for a non-escort woman. A recent blog entry on a relationship blog (one that focuses on finding a quality marriage focused LTR) had a post about a young woman who was trying to find a good person to date. I used to be worried too much about money. The underlying reason was that back when I was younger, I felt the world (US perspective) was just very cold and unforgiving. I never wanted much, but I wanted financial independence ASAP because it isn't like the old days where you can just walk into a UAW factory job and make a ton of money. This caused me to put making money, and not that much of it really, before many things. I missed out on trips with friends, family gatherings, etc.. In the end, w…

Just move to a conservative state and hide assets. Most of the non-radical leftist states are usually more fair. Ultimately it comes down to judge so it can really be hit or miss. Be willing to follow mom anywhere and shared custody usually becomes a reality. Things like moving to the same school district go a long ways. Also get a competent attorney who can also appeal the case. Thay way if you get a pro-mother judge you can always hope an appeals panel will overrule the original order. Also pl…

I've always been a more slender build, but out-of-shape for the most part. Over the last three years I started working out, just using dumbbells and pull-ups for muscle building and to gain strength. At the same time, I was really bad about wearing clothing that was really too baggy for my frame. As soon as just some muscle mass came in mixed with better fitting clothing, I was getting comments. Some men will always want female intimacy. A young female co-worker will open completely up with us about how during college she used Tinder to get free meals. She comes across as a foodie and the new hip restaurants that have all opened up in the downtown area aren't cheap. From what I see, many young men will end up with FOMO so they will just jump into hookup culture and accept it for what it is. On another forum of mostly conservative leaning middle aged people, one member said that for her son and his friends, you either hookup or get nothing. These are young men who would rather date seriously, not necessarily meet their wife in high school or freshman year, but have committed LTRs. I was told this by a co-worker and I got basic whey and casein protein shake mix and bars. If you are a light eater like I am you have to use these supplements if you want to build any muscle. You should add in some arm and shoulder exercises. What I suggest are the P90X DVDs for Shoulders and Arms, Chest and Back, and Back and Biceps. Those three DVDs also have the 15ish min. core exercise video after the main workout. They are great workouts for beginners. The only downside is that they are a big long, about 45-60 mins for the main workout. I've cut them in almost half and have maintained what I developed. The downside to P90X is the chest exercises. It is all push-up related. As su…

The only reason I might even look 30 is because I shave my head due to balding issue (I actually still have some hair, it is just thin so I shave my entire head). One of the Greek life college blogs I sometimes read had a great comment written by a young lady. She said that after a young woman walks across the stage and gets her degree she is no longer a slut. I do sometimes see this play out, but for men and women. I've had involvement in a career field where folks should be in-shape, but many aren't. However, in order to obtain the needed requirements (state certifications and such), physical assessment test have to be taken. The test is easy: Less than 30 push-ups (no time), 20ish sit-ups within a minute, run 1.5 miles in under 16 minutes. There are other things, but these three are what people fail. The reasons for the failure are almost always these people are out-of-shape. Most of the people are early…

I no longer trust the stock market. It is a rigged system designed to make certain individuals wealthy. The common person may or may not actually make money. In the past decades many large cap companies went through great growth. People made their biggest money in stock splits. When it comes to overweight and obesity, there are only two concerns I have. The first is that many of these people will see health issues later in life, and I believe these issues will manifest earlier in life for those who were overweight or obese in their childhood. This will just replace, and possibly increase, the healthcare issues and cost we have seen caused by smoking, excessive drinking, drug use, etc.. The second issue is that there seems to be a push by some in society where they want…
