Getting sex is easier for women than men, but dating broadly? Absolutely not. Men have no concept of how many truly dangerous, predatory men exist and the difficulty of navigating that. I agree that a lot of women enable these men, but the point still stands.

Ask your ancestors. Anyone with a worldview narrow enough to ask why one gender needs the other is beyond reasoning with

Yep. Both genders do this, but it's especially obvious with men when you tell them that women get rejected just as often as men when you include rejections after sex. The instant response is always "doesn't count, still had sex," revealing what the actual goal is. Most of the hate for hookup culture here is just thinly veiled envy from people who wish they could participate.

It's love bombing when both do it, attractive men are just more likely to get away with it. Not a revolutionary concept

They seek to besmirch the name of man with the aid of the wicked one, just like they did with Adam in the beginning. Yeah, that's all I had to read, wrap it up man

Single people make best customers, best employees, and people choosing to be single will only make the competition in the mating pool small. When you don’t have your own family, you most likely end up pouring your energy into a faceless corporation. People in relationships make exponentially better customers and workers because they have obligations to spend money on people they otherwise wouldn't. A single guy might be more invested in one job and spend a lot of money on himself, but a guy with…

this sub is full of posts that basically "women are bad" in one way or the other. Where is that skittishness? 60% of Reddit users are men, and subs like these probably skew even higher in that regard. Also, the whole point of this sub is to have a space where that skittishness is removed. With both of those factors combined, it makes sense that most of the posts would be about men's experiences with women. when it isn't taken seriously it's because usually the solution is to force women to have …

A lot of men here conflate criticizing the patriarchal aspects of marriage with criticizing long term, committed relationships in general. Every study I've seen shows that women prioritize stability and prefer long term relationships (often times more than men), they just don't want to fulfill the invisible trophy wife, undervalued homemaker role that their mothers and grandmothers did. When I hear women complain about marriage, it's never really about the monogamy aspect. It's all of the expect…

I'm saying the vast majority of sex workers aren't rich, perfect, or fully independent. Far from it, hence why they're doing sex work in the first place. Meanwhile you're the one alleging that sex workers are "threatening men's egos" by profiting off of splattering their bodies in STD-ridden fluids from the most predatory sect of men every other day. You asked why men shame sex workers, I explained to you why, and then you shifted the topic to the idea of men being threatened for some reason so …

I can almost guarantee you that no man feels threatened by the homeless hooker he's soliciting or the BPD addled OnlyFans model making a $100 a month off commissions praying her boss doesn't find her account. Framing this as if women in sex work are largely empowered by and feel "in control" of what they do screams "I've never talked to or done research about sex workers in my life," and is the exact kind of dishonest weaponization that leads to the stigmas levied against them being so absurdly …

Because (a lot of) men like sex while simultaneously believing that making a career out of it doesn't take much talent or effort relative to basically any other job. When you've been socialized since birth to believe that your job is inherent to your worth as a man, seeing women who (you think) make a lot of money by selling something that requires no ingenuity will cause instant resentment. There's also the inherent resentment of having to pay women for something that women (seem to) essentiall…

Because (a lot of) men like sex while simultaneously believing that making a career out of it doesn't take much talent or effort relative to basically any other job. There's also the inherent resentment of having to pay for something from a woman that women (seem to, in men's eyes) essentially get for free without any of the social stigma. To (a lot of) men, the sex work industry inherently preys on their achilles heel of a high sex drive. There's a lot of nuance missing from that perspective, b…

I'll agree that accepting the unavoidability of rejection is necessary for men to find sexual success, but even then this advice is just suboptimal. For every man who finds success with the long game are three other men who end up passively watching the women they're waiting on sleep with a bunch of different dudes whilst telling themselves "It'll be my turn eventually" before inevitably becoming blackpilled. In my experience, most men fall down incel pipelines because of how many times they've …

Read the edit.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/25 06:02 PM

Actually researched it and you're right. I was admittedly going by my own personal experience with women. Touché.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/25 05:57 PM

Everyone hates high body counts, including women. It's not an inherently bad thing, but it's usually predictive of instability in other aspects of life. Women only hate body count discussions because they're almost always going to have more bodies than the men they're trying to date. edit: Had my mind changed about the last sentence but I'll keep it up for the sake of thread clarity.

I'm responding specifically to the context of heterosexual dating if that isn't obvious.

Bingo. The amount of women I've seen who speed-reject their way through moderately attractive / unattractive Tinder dates for the most minuscule reasons just to settle on a guy who (they'll reveal after the breakup) had anger issues, couldn't hold a conversation, and was pushy for sex is comical. The funniest part is when you ask them why they stayed so long and they waffle about him "being caring" at some ambiguous point like the answer isn't obvious.

It all goes back to the primordial truth of attractiveness for both genders. Both sides like to pretend they extend some sort of emotionally intelligent, victim complex-inducing, unreciprocated grace to the other gender when the truth is obvious: Women give hot guys a lot of chances the same way men overlook a lot of flaws in hot women. If they're not hot, not so much.

I'm nowhere near looking for marriage right now, but a universal one I've seen between myself and my guy friends is bad hygiene. Men will overlook a lot of flaws, but bad (dental) hygiene is almost unavoidable. It's hard to cuddle someone with bad breath or kiss someone with cavity ridden teeth.

Awfully convenient how you ignored the very first paragraph of that article where a clinical sexologist cosigned the number, as well as the third source that is a scientific survey. That aside, you could attack the actual substance of the first argument, which is that bachelor parties are rooted in the idea that marriage ends a man's natural inclination to be promiscuous — but that would mean having to actually make an argument instead of reflexively dismissing anything that's inconvenient to yo…

Sure, but I'd argue that that has less to do with weaponizing shamed jealousy (the point of the post) and more to do with men being more willing to homewreck than women for a bunch of different reasons. It may be easier for women to cheat, but men actually cheat exponentially more.

It's not too much to ask, but what I'm challenging is OP's premise that men exclusively are being "gaslit into being doormats." I agree that there's been a recent weaponization of shaming men's jealousy that benefits cheating women, but the same thing has been happening to women and their jealousy from cheating men for much, much longer in the grand timeline of human history. I don't usually like to use pink pill rhetoric, but this is just a case of men (as a sociopolitical group, not individual…

1.) The century wherein the traditional gender roles you covet so much were at their height in popularity, no? 2.) The meme & stats I pulled all came from within the past 11 years. 3.) Times can change quickly of course, but we're like two and a half decades into the 21st century whereas we're dealing with 10 decades worth of social engineering from the 20th century. Acting like traditional dating norms have no bearing on the modern day because Tinder and feminism exist is idiotic.

I'd argue that this ignores the way women have been conditioned to suppress their jealousy as well; it's not a one-way street here. Whenever women in relationships complain about their partners gawking at other women, they're routinely told some variation of "it's in a man's nature to find other women hot." Bachelor party norms are an extension of this. Even worse, this very natural jealousy is often reframed as a threat against them, i.e. "if you're worried your man is going to leave you, you b…

Most men can't tell the women they follow online are "high maintenance." Men overestimate their ability to tell how much of a woman's face / body is natural. That's why they constantly have this fantasy of "the natural girl with no makeup on," then pull out a picture of the most conventionally attractive woman ever with semi-messy hair and a blatant mask of foundation on to show what that looks like.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 05:36 PM

It's strange because women intuitively understand the concept of feeling chronically inadequate when it comes to sexualization. Every woman has their own sob story about how pervasive beauty standards and sexual expectations have fundamentally warped their sense of self in relation to the rest of society, but when the conversation becomes about men's sexual problems it's suddenly "just sex."

I see where you're coming from and the men you're talking about do exist, but we also can't discount that the stoic lone wanderer archetype appeals to men because many men do "walk the world alone," at least relative to women. Obviously it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy if a guy turns this image into his entire personality but it's not like the "sigma mindset," cringe as it may be, was birthed from nothing. The same can be said about women who identify with feminine rage in media; the reason…

Nothing in the OP is disputing that. "Getting fucked" is not what this post is about, it's about the prevalence of rejection in the dating world.

I never said every situation will be, but a significant lot are. Men have been lying their way into sex since the dawn of humanity, there's a reason that terms like playboy and womanizer exist. As I alluded to in the OP, this has been exacerbated by modern dating culture where dating apps, antisocial epidemics, and sex positive social expectations have shifted a lot of power in dating dynamics to women. Men lying is often the only card they have to tip scales in their favor nowadays, as morally …

If a woman pretended to be into you so you would pay for a gourmet dinner date before rejecting you the next day, do you think it'd be fair to say "Well this isn't really comparable to her outright rejecting you since you got a foot in the door, no?"

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
