Why do some women seek Egalitarian marriages instead of partial or full Financial dependence on a man? This is very well said imo | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/05/25 02:55 AM
Why do some women seek Egalitarian marriages instead of partial or full Financial dependence on a man?To be totally honest, even tho we were both broke, we both worked also, so we both had extra income beyond what we were having at school. I think we essentially would trade off , then I graduated first and basically financed everything for his senior year (food etc). When we moved in, I bought the furniture because I had worked for a year. We went half on security deposit. After moving in together, we did 50/50 and eventually we combined finances. I always believed it was easier for our money to… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/05/25 02:36 AM
Why do some women seek Egalitarian marriages instead of partial or full Financial dependence on a man?I mean we haven't always made that much. Back when we met in college, we were both broke. I don't know if it's "the norm" or not. Men in my generation (millennials) I don't think have the same values as previous generations. Egalitarian is not uncommon - actually the preference https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/2011/03/09/iii-millennials-attitudes-about-marriage/ | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/05/25 02:29 AM
Why do some women seek Egalitarian marriages instead of partial or full Financial dependence on a man? It's not the most important thing to me. This OP presumes men who want to take on the primary financial burden are the norm. But even in my relationship, we both make around 200k or more, and my husband definitely doesn't seem to be keen to be the sole financial provider. I don't see why we would switch the arrangements now. Or why id ask that from him. We have always been a team, so naturally, we approach finances that way as well | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/05/25 11:05 PM
Single mothers symbolize something deeply painful to a lot of menWell idk what to tell you but not all men are lazy spoiled. I've been with my husband for 13 years and he spoils me. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 22/04/25 10:05 PM

LOOKS WEEKLY DISCUSSION THREADWhen you said people like confidence, that was ambiguous. The poster replied to you saying he got more attractive and then women were interested in him. You invalidated his response by saying yeah, because you're more confident. You guys are talking about attraction. I don't understand what's so confusing about this. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/01/25 04:24 PM
LOOKS WEEKLY DISCUSSION THREADWell to be clear though I know women who like fat men, I prefer fit men. I don't like fat men. But I think if someone is fat and gets to be fit or even a bit muscular their objective attractiveness increases. I don't want to be with people I don't find physically attractive, no matter how confident they are, but my bar for attraction isn't like massive. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/01/25 04:13 PM

LOOKS WEEKLY DISCUSSION THREADI know you're trying to be helpful but this may be your experience, but my experience as a woman is that I do want a man I'm physically attracted to. I don't think there's anything wrong with recognizing some things make you look better to yourself and/or the opposite sex , without obsessing or blaming everything on those things. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/01/25 04:04 PM
