some good things said in this thread, will be saving and reading again later. at the moment all I've got left in terms of debt is a UK (1.*%) student loan and a mortgage of 50k on a house I'm letting out, i'm working my way towards higher salaries and/or freedom from a 9-5. every day the path is becoming clearer, and while i'm not 'happy' i'm getting less worried and giving less fucks.

I heard ok things about the Joe Rogan interview, but when I watched that I just wasn't buying what he was saying, it seemed like it was another PR exercise for him. I guess it probably is, but say if I was rich, with perceived power in the sense that I ran a few successful online companies, employed a decent number of remote workers. I'd need to actively engage in showing these women and other people around me that I have 'power', to build the social status, maybe buy some cars, get a haircut, have some nice clothes?
