Venlafaxine. What kind of side effects are you having? I get really bad night sweats but it’s a small price to pay imo

If you are feeling like your brain is stuck on a loop with constant rumination, it could help to look into anti-depressants. I’ve never struggled w depression but after my separation I got to a point where I legitimately could not stop thinking about her for more than 30 secs. It was so mentally draining and exhausting despite knowing it was the right decision. The meds help break up that “loop” and rumination. Honestly by week 2 I was feeling much better. I’m on week 6 now. Obviously everyone’s…

My therapist once asked me “can you picture a life without her” when I was faced with a similar dilemma. My mind excitedly went to picturing me in my own place - free from having to ask for permission to do every little thing, free from the fighting. It was clear I could very easily live without her. You seem to have the opposite reaction to that question. Find out why and find out if those reasons are truly things that only she can provide. Good luck.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
