(x-post from 2x) Because if the upvotes are from SRD, then the downvotes are probably also from SRD, meaning that the bot is well received. It really couldn't have 3,000+ comment karma if it wasn't. If vegans can't be vegans because they finger painted, then why is it that vegetarians get to be vegetarians? Keep in mind that some people are diet vegetarians just like there are diet vegans, but there are also vegetarians who abstain from all animal products. If you accept that it's incredibly difficult to lead a vegan lifestyle because so much of our day to day life is out of our control and instead choose to define a vegan based on his or her ability to adhere to that lifestyle as best as they can, then they do exist. So I've dedicated my time to the neutering of dogs, 'cause that's legal." It's the absurdity of the bit that makes it funny. The video intends to take the idea of testicles being gross to the extreme with a full on "campaign against balls". She busted out figures and stats like it's no big deal, I spent twenty minutes researching one point to try to find studies and news reports I had read. I summed up my first rebuttal with "Regardless of the numbers, men have problems to face in their day to day lives. This isn't about who has it worse, it's about the problems being largely ignored." 5	Tried to debate a feminist. It hasn't gone so well so far. Oh geeze, I basically brought up four points: Men are treated like pedophiles. Referenced British Airlines' treatment of men. Men being shafted by false rape charges. Spousal abuse. Men being afraid to come forward (apparently "the fault of the patriarchy and not a men's rights issue") and conflicting studies that argue which sex is more likely to be abused.
