I think you’re kind of missing the forest for the trees here…. If you continue to focus on fairness and who has it worse, not only will it change nothing…it’s just going to make you miserable and even less likely to get what you actually want. Like how good do you think you’re going to be at forming a relationship with someone you resent?

If the alternative is to lie about, or at the very least hide, who you are...you are acting selfishly. In a sense, you are basically using other people for your needs. Sure, you might not get as many women/dates being honest, but the ones you did get would be genuinely interested in you and not some mask. If you decouple your identity from your sexuality, this would be a lot easier.

And now YOU are oppressed and the cycle continues... Even if this IS true (and I don't know that it is...certainly not all women are oppressors and not all men are oppressed), maybe your aim should be to break this cycle instead of perpetuating it. Instead of being a victim, be honest with yourself and look within. Be the best version of you and let the chips fall where they may. You might not have the life you think you deserve, but it will be a lot better than the angry one you are living now.

This is the correct answer Do you know where I see the biggest discrepancy in looks? Church. There are some truly wonderful guys (read not nice but truly good real people) that punch WAY above their looks weight class

There’s a difference between a nice guy and a good guy. Women (and people in general, not just women) want to be around good guys, not nice guys. Basically, if you’re only nice to people so they’ll like you/sleep with you/you don’t want to fight…you might be a nice person, but you are not a good person. Women can tell. It’s also extremely unattractive because it’s all fake.

I love how this is just a woman thing, like men don’t care way less if a woman is crazy/dumb/mean when she is hot. The vast majority of women aren’t attracted to assholes BECAUSE they are assholes…that premise is just dumb. What is more likely in most cases is the things women ARE attracted to likely correlate with a man being an asshole (ie selfish) due to an inflated ego.

If you’re over 21 and an alcoholic, you’re a loser…if you’re under 21 and an alcoholic, you’re cool. But at the end of the day, you’re still an alcoholic.

At the end of the day…people (not just women) are attracted to authenticity. So I think you’re right in the sense that it seems to be a bit of talking out of both sides of the mouth going on, but I think that’s because you’re focusing on the wrong thing…masculinity isnt so much about a list of traits as much as it is the ability to live outcome independent. To be mentally and emotionally strong and mature. A rock. Most toxic masculinity is fake ass alpha shit.

Being nice isn’t the same as being good. Nobody likes fake people…being fake nice for validation/sex is just as bad as being fake alpha for validation/sex. Neither one is authentic and both eventually show their true colors. It’s a cliche, but this is what being yourself really means. Don’t apologize for who you are and DEFINITELY don’t lie about who you are and what you think. If you don’t like yourself, don’t pretend to be somebody else…just work towards the person you want to be. The differen…

What I can’t decide, is if you are being intentionally obtuse to try and make a point nobody is arguing, or if you really don’t see it. Everyone knows that one of the risks associated with having casual sex is one or both partners catching feelings. If both partners are single, they either stop having sex or stop having casual sex and start a relationship….pretty cut and dry and the only people involved in that decision are the sexual partners. Same scenario with someone in a relationship? Now t…

I think there is a part you are missing…This isn’t all on the woman. The situation plays a role (did you meet at a party/bar/tinder or did you meet somewhere more wholesome?) and so does what the man wants. Hell, even relationship status, age, mental frame of mind etc all play a role. But I can give you anecdotal evidence of this…my wife was very “sexually liberal” in that she took guys home from bars, had fuck buddies, etc. in fact, she was pretty sure she was never gonna settle down. On our se…

Both groups are incredibly self-centered versions of the male and female experiences, respectively, as it relates to interactions with the opposite sex. They both want the same thing: validation from the opposite sex. FDS wants a man who dominates everyone around him EXCEPT for her because SHE is special. It’s not about him, it’s about what it says about her. Similarly, Red Pill men want an attractive woman who denies men left and right but gives into him easily and freely because he is special.…

This post really represents the blind spot a lot of men have on this sub: You can have casual sex with women without treating them like a sex object, just as you can commit to women while still treating them like one. Saying you would make a girl your girlfriend based on looks and very minimal interaction is either one of two thing: either you see her as a sex object you’d want to fuck multiple times, or you’re desperate and will take anyone who isn’t fat or a bitch. Flat out, no girl is going f…

It’s because men, on average, aren’t as in touch with their emotions…as a result, when they feel a certain type of way about something they fee an innate need to justify that feeling with logic instead of just going with it. They think it means they aren’t run by their emotions, but what it really means is they are better at lying to themselves about them.

I don’t think the statement is necessarily incorrect so much as it needs to be qualified. “Big Dick” is relative…a guy with a decently thick 6 or 7 inch dick has a “big dick” statistically, but I’m not sure he is guaranteed to see it that way based on perception. A guy with an undeniably large dick, though? Chances are pretty good that dude is confident unless he is a total train wreck outside of that.

If I had a magic wand, the one thing I think I would change is the whole pseudo-science evolutionary psychology instinct bullshit that runs rampant. If you don’t want to date a high n woman because you have a fragile ego, just admit it. If she is sending clear signals that she isn’t looking to settle down and you are, so be it. If you can’t handle that she used to be easy and has since changed and has more respect for herself so now you “have to pay for what other guys got for free” so be it. Bu…

At the end of the day, it really is all about a shift in mindset… If you ARE desperate and/or needy, you’re going to come across that way no matter how much you try and hide it with game or resentment or whatever. Sure, maybe you’ll hold it together long enough to get laid a couple times, but that is probably a best case scenario for most guys. So really, just stop putting so much pressure on yourself. If you aren’t having fun, is it even worth continuing? I know the need for validation is stron…

To be fair, you could almost argue the opposite… If you’re not attracted to someone because of something they can ever change, well…it’s never going to change. If, on the other hand you’re not attracted to them because of something they CAN change, perhaps it is less of an issue in the long run.

My wife has a stressful job. She has three kids (one bio and my two). She has a pain in the butt family that comes to her with their problems. She has pain in the butt friends that come to her with their problems. It’s a lot of stress. After the honeymoon phase, we settled into a one or two time a week pace with sex…mostly vanilla. Getting a hobby to attract women is needy as fuck and I highly discourage that type of advice. On the other hand, living your life and growing as a person regardless of what other people think is one of the keys to a happy life and winds up being very attractive. Having a hobby isn’t what makes you attractive…it’s being an authentic person who enjoys their life that does.

Are we going to pretend that “dude flexing in a mirror” selfies aren’t a thing? This is really the true problem, imo…it’s not so much that you’re wrong that there are a lot of superficial women out there in social media…it’s the hypocritical tone you take about it like men don’t have equally self inflated egos.

Pressuring people is not attractive. It works early in a relationship because it is ew and exciting and so their defenses are down…but over time, constantly being bombarded with shit you don’t want to do by somebody faking being an alpha is just annoying.

Real confidence is outcome independence….doing something because you want to or because it is the right thing to do, regardless of the outcome. Self validating. Being who you truly are in the face of things like rejection and not letting it shake you. Doing things that you make you look good to others in order to gain something (validation, trust, respect, etc) is not confidence…it is pride. This can lead to narcissism (or self pity if you fail to gain what you seek). That is NOT what people are…

Two things: First, did they lie? If not, I don’t really see the problem. It’s not like the man is paying out of the goodness of his heart…he is trying to get something out of this, too. Second, women won’t just accept a free meal from any man…most of the time to even consider an invitation there has to be mild interest or at the very least no disinterest/neutral. A lot of times, I think saying it is just for the free food is a coping mechanism for when it inevitably doesn’t work out…but they’re …

You’re completely missing the point. No matter how detailed your criteria or standards are, it’s all still just a paper exercise. None of it really matters. At the end of the day your emotional brain is driving and your logical brain is just along for the ride…your logical brain might say “it’s faster if we stay on the highway”, but if your emotional brain wants to get off at the exit, it’s getting off at the exit and your logical brain will be quick to say “well, at least this way we can stop f…

So…when your partner gets a sweet new haircut and finds this perfect pair of jeans that makes their ass look incredible, are you going to be like “listen, honey, I love you, but your number has gone from a 6.5 to a 7 and we are no longer looks matched…we need to break up” Maybe if you got to know people as people instead of evaluating whether or not you would date/fuck them or they would date/fuck you, you might understand how needy/immature/sad what you are saying really is.

The point is you’re focusing on something that matters very little in the grand scheme of things…you’re boiling down whether or not someone is a good match based on a subjective number that is 100% superficial. Men on this sub wear the “men are less picky” thing like a badge of honor…as if “you have a vulva and you’re not fat…you’ll do” is a compliment.

“Happy with your looks match” Therein lies the problem… As a man, the more I come to this subreddit the worse I feel for women. They keep saying the same thing over and over again and quite a few of the men on this Subreddit just refuse to listen. In a nutshell…if men want more real, healthy relationships they don’t need to get ripped or make bank…they need to fucking grow up.

Most of it, honestly. A lot of your assumptions present as projecting, to me. You’re fixated on looks and sex, so you assume that everyone is, and if they say they aren’t they’re lying. Then you take in their actions under that lens and color them with all sorts of subjectivity. (Ie that girl was only talking up her bf because I know how hot her hookup was). Do looks matter? Of course. Does physical attraction matter more in a mostly physical relationship? Of course. Anything beyond that in your…

EVERYONE wants to be with someone that wants to be there…that’s an expectation everyone should set for every relationship they enter in to. Having said that, that doesn’t remove you from responsibility. Part of your job as a partner is to continue being someone they want to be with, or accepting it when you aren’t because you grow apart. In other words, if you’re being a good husband to make your wife happy or get sex or whatever, you’re probably doomed to fail…chances are your needs won’t alway…

Get some female friends…preferably ones you don’t want to fuck. Not acquaintances, but actual friends. If an average guy can’t get women, often times it’s because he is uncomfortable around them or maybe doesn’t even like/resents them due to feelings of rejection. The reality of the world is, if you want to act like a fuckboi (have lots of sex and not ever actually like/respect women), you’re gonna have to make it worth their while (ie be attractive). While I agree with your general premise, I think you are missing the mark a bit in a few respects… First off, the penis (and by extension, penetrative sex) is at the core of male identity. It is quite literally what makes a man a man. Concerns about penis size, sexual prowess (especially relating to piv), ability to attract sex, etc. all speaks to this core pillar of the male identity…in other words, anything that reflects poorly on a man’s penis questions his very identity as a man (and positiv…

Feelings drive the bus…for everyone, not just women. Men just THINK they are more in control. Feelings happen first. If you make your partner feel good, their rational brain will logic that into it’s because you are good. If you don’t make them feel good, or even as good, then the rational brain will logic that it is because you aren’t as good. This really comes down to male pride. A lot of the typical male’s identity is wrapped up in his ability to have sex with women. So much so that they idolize mythical “chad” who’s only real claim to fame is how often he gets laid. But like all things associated with pride (and the other side of the coin, self pity) this thinking is toxic. Everything is self-centered. Pretty much the definition of self-centered. You’re a hypocrite. It’s not shaming, it’s accurate. All of your points are irrelevant of sex and equally valid for both parties. I am a man and I was not divorce raped. It is not a forgone conclusion nor likely even the norm. If I had to guess, the reason there is this prevailing opinion that men get screwed in divorce is because a lot of the men getting divorced are immature and act like victims. A more underrated aspect of marriage is legal privileges, especially if one partner is debilitated. If you’re not married and your partner finds themself in a coma, you might not have any say in their treatment or their finances…legally that responsibility will fall to the court and often times a parent.

This is just a poor comment all around. Paying child support has nothing to do with marriage. The two aren’t mutually exclusive. As for losing everything, you lose half. You both lose half. If you think that isn’t fair, there is a good chance that might be one of the reasons the marriage failed in the first place. I’ve read all the comments in this thread, and the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle. More testosterone means it is easier to get aroused. Men have more testosterone. So, in general, it is easier for men to get aroused. But I do also think there is a social component at play. I don’t know that I would blame porn, though. Porn is more a result of the social dynamic than a cause. The reality is the male sexual response has been normalized. Most people truly believe it is “out of their co…

I’m really not attacking you…just posing a question in response to yours. I just think it is silly to base sexual success on what women look like with their clothes on…instead of stuff that actually matters like how good the sex is. But the reason it happens is two fold: Men generally get off during sex so quality matters less And External validation That’s it. So, in the end, the lens you were able to make your observation through is the issue. That’s all.

It was the “thread that broke the camels back” I know it comes off as a little preachy, but seriously…why do you even care? Like honestly, what is your endgame based on this perceived duality? I’m sorry, but, who cares? Consider me an oddball, but I just don’t get the fascination with fucking 10s (or 8+s in this case). Probably because my entire identity as a person isn’t wrapped up in my sexuality like a lot of (unhappy) folks on this sub. The only thing that fucking a hot girl really gets you, on its own, is validation. Do you know what it won’t get you, necessarily? Good sex, happiness, a relationship, etc…you know, the stuff you actually want if you’re not insecure and have your h…

Notice all the self-centered responses from the men indicating 0-3 dates or they walk…It’s all about how she “isn’t in to him” or “I better get what so and so got, and even if I don’t know there was a so and so I am just going to assume there was.” These men are not ready for a healthy relationship. That’s not to say they can’t grow into it during a relationship with someone they connect with, but on the whole they are far too selfish to truly be a healthy and loving partner. If you just need th…

Flat out, anybody who has or follows a rule is probably immature and either lacks control or self confidence (probably both). Second, men (and women) who are immature see sex as validation…if someone sleeps with you, they find you attractive. The problem is, those same people are also insecure as fuck, so they are always looking for ways to discredit themselves. If they have sex with you too early, they’re just easy and they aren’t really attracted…if it takes too long and/or they’ve had sex fas…

It’s because younger men, especially, have a lot of their identity tied up in their sexuality. They see how badly( or not) a woman wants to have sex with them as a direct reflection of themselves as a person/viable mate. You can see it with how “Chad” is discussed with equal parts disdain and reverence…they’re jealous. It doesn’t even matter if “Chad” is a sociopath incapable of love and true affection, he fucks, thereby he gets the highest form of external validation from women and is someone t…

If there was ever a problem that came from the sexual revolution, this is it…lots of people (and quite a few of the men on this subreddit) consider their sexuality a core piece of their identity. Seeking validation through sex is a recipe for disaster and unhappiness, even if you are a Chad who gets sex regularly. That hole doesn’t have a bottom, so you’re never going to fill it. Sex should be for making babies and enhancing relationships…anything else is a slippery slope, whether you’re having …

The more threads I read on here, the more I realize quite a few of the people here, both men and women, are extremely insecure. It’s fascinating. I feel like most people’s fears and insecurities create the exact situation they’re afraid of…it’s almost as if being right is more important than being happy. The OP is so afraid of being in a dead bedroom (again, most likely) that he is on the hunt for red flags…likely doing nothing but increasing his chances of either never finding someone due to be…

You know how sometimes when you have a really busy day tomorrow, you go to bed early and try to get some sleep…but you just lay there thinking and actually wind up falling asleep even later? You try all kinds of tricks, maybe even use some drugs that might help you fall asleep but leave you groggy and sluggish? Sometimes, trying too hard to force something before you’re ready is a problem in and of itself and no tips or tricks are gonna help you. It’s not that female dating advice (or dating adv…

This was very specific...but it describes me almost to a T, so he does exist. Already taken, though.

This lines up pretty well with what my wife said about height (we were talking about a >6’6” friend that can’t get dates)... She basically said “I like it like this...” (and proceeded to crane her neck at about a 45 degree angle from parallel to look me in the eyes) “...and not like this” (and held her neck at a 90 degree angle). She basically said there is such a thing as too tall. She is about 5’5”-5’6” and I am 5’10”-5’11”...so right about 10cm apart

Sex drive is kind of like a car...the gas pedal makes it go faster and the brakes slow it down. Every person is different, but there are some (mostly) universal truths: Fun, social environments help to release the brakes Clear lack of consequences (feeling safe, feeling casual, birth control, etc) help release the brakes drinking releases the brakes good looks hit the gas feeling good about yourself hits the gas sexual tension hits the gas (dancing, suggestive talk timed correctly, etc) Every pe…

I think your general premise is correct, but it’s built on some false assumptions. I am a 42 year old man, and for the first 35 or so years of my life my only female friends were people I dated, wanted to date, or were dating friends of mine. I was a firm believer that men and women couldn’t be just friends. Then I got divorced. It was messy. She cheated. I was devastated...it’s how I even eventually found my way to the TRP as I tried to make sense of it all. In the midst of all my woman hating …

If you’re only nice to your wife to get sex or if you are getting sex, you’re not actually nice. Good guys get sex, nice guys don’t. Just because two people are married doesn’t mean you are entitled to anything. If you’re married and not having sex, you probably need to look in the mirror (and I don’t mean literally unless you really let yourself go). Complacency is an attraction killer.

First off, I’m a guy. Just stating to be clear about my perspective Second, I don’t disagree that the PERCEPTION of alpha fucks, beta bucks is true...in other words, guys believe it is real. They will even move the goal post if chad was short and fat with a little dick...it will be because he was mean or something. What most men don’t understand is the reality of the situation. If a woman is willing to have casual sex (ie more than a one off time when she was super drunk or on vacation) AND agre…

This might make sense if relationships were only about sex.

The irony in this post is palpable.. You spent the first part of it telling us about how you are basically ticking all the boxes for a “20%” man, and yet you strike out, anyway...isn’t this basically anecdotal evidence that the 80/20 is, in effect, bullshit? Flat out, it’s your attitude that holds you back. It’s easy to spot in just one post and I don’t even know you...because at one point in my life I was you. Until you ACTUALLY like yourself, it’s kind of a tall order to ask others to like you…
