In general I find as a man I get compliments from Other men. This depends on your friend group and how open they are to supporting each other Women who think I'm "Safe to compliment". These are generally friends, and aquaintances when they know I have a partner already. Unfortunately enough guys take a compliment from a woman as an expression of interest and sometimes get quite creepy about it. I've had a two different female friends decide to "compliment more random guys" and then later say "oh…

Sow hen you are at these events, are there opportunities to discuss whatever you are doing with women? Like "functional" conversations to start. Like "I need help moving this trestle table can you grab the other end?" Stuff like that

When you say "how to talk to women" what are meaning by this? I was assuming you were at the "I literally don't know how to have a conversation with a woman" stage (plenty of users pop up like that.

Be around women in low pressure environment where you are doing a thing. Like clubs or classes or sports or whatever. A group where there is a thing" that is the focus, where you can start off talking about the "thing" and build your confidence through practice. Note it makes a *massive difference to be doing this in real life. For me a lot of this came through volunteering. From really basic conversations that are about the "thing" you can try out just more general chatting. If things go well t…

Hey are we discussing definitions of incel again? The word "Incel" has its original meaning and current meaning: The Technical (original) definition of an INvoluntary CELIbate person. Which is how it started (The REPLY-ALL Podcast episode INVCEL has a good interview with the founder). The current meaning which is more of a cultural group, which is where someone has absolutely bought into the "blackpill" of incel ideology/thought/facts/worldview/whatever. Like simply check out the Wikipedia artic…

Hey mate, when you want help you'll get better responses if you make your request as clear as possible. Not sure how old you are but have you ever been taught about essay structure at school? You don't need to write a proper essay here but breaking your ideas up into paragraphs would make it a lot easier to read and follow and respond to. So I'm going to try break this up a bit I grew up paranoid and outcasted with AuDHD and CPTSD. Afraid of growing up to the real world and often dream of fantas…

Hey mate have you been around any divorces? Like one where you knew both parties and got to talk to both. And then we how they were several years down the track. I've been around a few, both adults older than me and friends my age. The ones I've been around clearly show the flaws in both parties. That there were major incompatibilities that could not be resolved by that couple. And with distance most of these divorces were "good" things that allowed each member to move on to be generally seek ha…

whenever i have an argument with a woman or a feminist online and she realizes she can’t change my mind about a topic Hey so as someone who's been on the Internet a while I generally assume the chance that I'll change someone's mind is low. At a certain point that chance goes from "low" to clearly "none". At that point, why continue? Arguing with someone who's just going to say stuff to make me mad has zero benefit to me. I block and move on with my life. I think the "parting shot" you describe …

Hey so testicular cancer patient here. One testicle got turned into medical waste. The general feedback from women is that they don't care at all. If we've got to the point of being naked around eachother its very low on the list of priorities. I strongly doubt its affecting your life nearly as much as consuming incel content, your mental health, and how you are thinking about women. That is definitely where I'd be focusing your efforts.

This trend sounds like something quite unhelpful for you to engage with. There have been versions of this for years. Its popped up on reddit before where there will be an r/askreddit question about what women dislike in a partner and other people will react to that list as overwhelming. Because it is. But its also a sorting problem. You are in a situation where you are collecting everyone's dealbreakers without any sense that its different people all of whom have a bunch of things they do like a…

My dude, a whole bunch of women took the time to answer your (kinda hostile) questions honestly. What if anything from those responses are you willing to accept as how they actually feel about relationships? Multiple times in your posts on this subreddit you've been accused of not listening to women and running off with your own ideas (heavily influenced by redpilled sources). This would be a great chance to demonstrate you are listening by reflecting on what these women said about their experie…

"all the ones you've had" - you mean relationships? How old are you and how many relationships? (Also I'm assuming your reference to a Ferrari is hyperbole right? Those aren't a common thing people have) Because damn dude that's sucks. Where are you finding all the people who act like that? Because if you are routinely getting stuck in relationships like that maybe you need to change environment. Depression definitely doesn't help. I found when depressed it was much easier to fall into black-and-white thinking. Stripping nuance and context cause it's like some large % of your brain is constantly running depression.exe so you need to take shortcuts elsewhere. And one of those would be grouping women up into a monolith. And another ris assuming the worst. So you might assume the worst about all women. I'd be recommending actively seeking help for your depression. And also figuring out if y…

But it's much more likely for all the women saying they'll break up with their man to find better if he has an Android phone or shows basic human emotion to actually DO that IRL, because doing that is easy and legal. Hey mate what real world experience are you basing this off? What relationships have you had that reflect this? Like relationships that you have had with others or at least those you've had a "front row" seat to? As I outlined in my other response what you say does not reflect how i…

Okay so have you had any relationships with women? Have you got good friends who are women? Or is this largely based on online discourse? I ask since as a man who's had and has both romantic and platonic relationships with women, as well as platonic relationships with men, I really don't find most of this holds. Every man wants to get with every woman No, have you not met a woman you did not want to "get with"? have you not had a date with a woman where it was you who decided to go no further? I…

Whenever I've seen a demographic breakdown it's usually shown men seriously outnumbering women, often something like 3-to-1. I've also seen both online and in my real life more than one guy who just spams likes, with just liking everybody or having an extremely low threshold (liking 80%+). That's been going on for more than a decade now (hell that post you linked to is years old) so it's not a new phenomena. So I'm in no way surprised that the women who are on apps and trying are going to be mor…

IF you wanted help the discussion would be what your life looks like, what your goals are, and what changes you could make to work towards those goals. Like some basics: How old are you? Are you currently in employment/studying/whatever? Do you currently have an in person friendship group and what does that look like? In particular does that group include any women? Do you actually get chances in your life right now to meet new people, in particular women? (in particular anything in terms of soc…

Because you are in a subreddit like this I'm assuming you want to try and improve your situation. Which is why I (and others) are motivated to try to help. So maybe you could workshop what you might do. Talk about what things are going on in your life that you might change or tweak to help you in dating or in general. It's also worth remembering this is reddit. ALL we know about you is your words. We don't know YOU and all that is going on. So it takes some degree of patience on your end as well…

Hey mate that's not the impression of the advice you got on your last post, a couple of folks tried pretty hard to help. Though you absolutely got some people aggro with the inconsistency in your age. You will definitely run into issues if you start spouting redpilled or blackpilled terms, since a lot of spaces are going to view that as too big a red flag.

Are you doomed? Well since this is EXredpill most folks here would say no and agree that is total BS. It's quite likely in your life that you'll be broken up with. Very very few people get it right the first time. Maybe you'll even get divorced. But it's probably going to be for various incompatibilities and stuff. You'll probably also break up with some folks.

Hey mate I think you need a major purge of what content you are consuming online that's messing with your perception of women. I'd also add trying to find some real life social activity that puts you interacting with women or girls so that you can break down what barriers you are putting up that "others" (or worse dehumanizes) them.
/r/ExRedPill14/04/24 09:19 PM
30

Its dehumanizing. And it can slip under the radar more effectively than other terms that are used in more private places (for example femoid). Its slowly becoming less acceptable though, as more people become aware of it. There are people who'll use it accidentally (apparently its common in military circles and can crop up with those for whom English is a second language) so its not an automatic indicator, but it can be a red flag when used.

Through his posts (including many deleted ones*) OP has had many, many arguments about this. They seem uninterested in change and I'd pretty much say they are trying to recruit people into the black pill (if unintentionally) by being only willing to engage in "debate" not well intentioned discussion. *OP pattern of posting an incel-adjacent topic on the changemyview subreddit then deleting said post caught more than just my attention. It's a pattern that takes a few rounds to catch but then it b…

Hey man you've posted a LOT in r/changemyview about this topic (and deleted a lot of it as well). That's something you have to choose for yourself.
/r/ExRedPill06/04/24 08:34 PM

I think this might be unnecessarily broad in how you stated that first sentence. Asking what someone's job is is a fairly standard "getting to know you" question. It's what most people put the most time into each week and has a lot of knock on effects (how much time does someone work, how stressful, what education they achieved beforehand, do they travel for work, is it physical or not). I absolutely get that a focus on income, especially disposable income, would be a red flag most of the time t…

Which parts of the Original Post are you seeing in your real life? Like also I went into more detail with discussion with OP about an alternative phrasing where men are more "active" in dating while women are more "passive" due to cultural expectations, does that ring to you at all?
/r/ExRedPill11/03/24 10:45 AM
12

Okay so sounds like you are thinking too much about a hypothetical to distress yourself. IF you do find yourself in such a situation you absolutely would be right to consider if you want to still be in such a relationship. Why would you do so much nice stuff if it wasn't reciprocated in the longer term? (There are ebbs and flows in relationships). BUT it would be much, much, much more likely that you would end up in a relationship where your partner was also trying to do similar things for you. …
/r/ExRedPill11/03/24 10:19 AM

Okay so in relationships in general there is going to be a huge variety of experiences. Especially if you seek it out you can find yourself a partner who is just as active in making the relationship work as you are. What exactly are you worried about within relationships?
/r/ExRedPill11/03/24 10:02 AM
15

Cool glad you like the active/passive phrasing since that's a bit of a better position to be working from. I'd suggest as you get to know more women and have relationships you might see the more subtle ways women will push relationships into happening. Again this is very much a generalization and there are plenty of exceptions (with my current girlfriend was very much the one who pursued me, she started with subtle hints which i missed but then moved onto actually hitting on me directly). And al…

Like how old are you? Got any good female friends? Like I'm wondering if you've ever gotten a good insight as to what a woman might be putting into a relationship on her end, or if you're just listening to tales coming from just guys? The "first move" and "proposing" status are very much cultural inertia. You absolutely can find women who do this in the modern day. But we're all bearing the weight of cultural expectations from the past which put women in a much more passive role and men in a muc…

Hey mate up top - what are you basing your opinion on women on? Is this based on relationships you yourself have had? I ask because this seems like a lot of very specific online talking points here. My own personal life has definitely not found any of the things you stated as generalities.

A phrase I like that encompasses a lot of the problems with the redpill is "All Women Are Like That" (AWALT). Which yeah, kinda falls apart quickly when you try to make "all women" do two contradictory things
/r/ExRedPill05/03/24 08:03 PM

Personally I've pretty much never run into that attitude being said by any women I'm friends with. I'd say that you are totally fine to filter for women who act like that (if someone isn't at least offering to split the second date for example). I'd be super curious as to the "behind the scenes" of such videos. How many people do they talk to? What sort of questions or discussions do they start with to prime the interviewee to answer like that? Maybe such women do exist, but I'd expect that you'…

Hang on, didn't we have a discussion on r/NoStupidQuestions about you going onto college campuses to creep on women? During class hours because you are unemployed? Yeah here it is I think its very creepy. A few thoughts: Make sure You've got the basics under control. Basic grooming. Clean clothes. Don't smell. Etc. Dress and style with a look in mind, perhaps expanding your wardrobe. Having some sort of style is going to be better than just rolling into whatever clothes are lying around (though if you get your wardrobe right it can end up that easy). Be interesting. Are they? Like taking your word for it, women with careers aren't dependent on their partner. They aren't going to be as scared of the problems that will come from breaking a divorce since they have the resources to make a single life. This is both in terms of the basics of finances (they have their own income) and other resources like having an independent social network (their work friends are somewhat separate from the couples friends).

Mate you realize there is a massively spectrum between Social Butterfly and Hermit right? Like Redpill often presents things as simple binaries which annihilates nuance, context and compromise. The most successful guys I know now in my late thirties all made time for a social life in their twenties. So the name is a reference to the Matrix (see here) Its used in a number of different contexts. But the dominant form on Reddit is with regards to gender and dating. This is the use that is relevant to this subreddit. These ideas have some basic self ideas built in (get in shape, dress well, find things to be confident about) and a bunch of misogyny (generalizations about women including things like hypergamy and such). They provide "easy answers" to the complicated question of dating so are qui…

Because there are quite a few superficial people in this world, and TikTok has an advanced enough algorithm to make sure to feed them the stuff they want. Some do. Some are women who also dig that philosophy. Especially if they are also bound up in conservative/reactionary/antifeminist viewpoints. Think of all the "tradwives" for example. Some are women have shit going on that means they ignore those red flags. Surely you know people, not just women, who overlook what seems to be obvious red flags in their partners?

Hey so you might want to slow down with your comments and try a bit of editing and formatting. Its might make it easier for your point to be made. It sounds like your main points are something like: Everyone is coming from a different background so no advice will work for everyone In particular you are unhappy with western, middle-class standards being seen as "normal" when they don't apply to others Would that be correct?

I agree its quite possible to end up in that situation as a young man. That's when you might find picking up a new activity/class/whatever comes in. Find yourself something with a bit more of a mix.

Yeah I guess. But I feel like I need to learn how to turn conversation into a friendship first before I even think about dating I mean, yes that. A relationship can be (very simplistically) seen as a friendship with additional complications. If you aren't making friends its going to make it hard to manage a relationship.

Hey so it's also not a black/white distinction. It's more of a spectrum or relative scale. Like the girl you had talked to in class, that would be warmer than the girl you were in class with and didn't talk to, which was still warmer than the girl who was a stranger in the cafeteria. But part of why I like a warmer approach is that you have already established a rapport of discussion with them and have things to talk about. So you have a reason to start a discussion. It sounds then you have to f…

Hey so when it comes to approaching women I'm a big fan of a "warm approach" where you already are known to them. This is to contrast to a "cold approach" where you just try to start a conversation with a stranger in a public place (which is a very high-skill and low-success strategy). This means people who you've already met in a social situation. Friends of friends or people you do an activity with (hobbies/volunteering/sports/whatever). Per your OP this means you "stand out" because it means …

I think its combinations of: Word choice hanging our in these toxic spaces will get specific words into your vocab. Like the obvious "females" Different meanings for words the meaning of words will change. for example the way you say and what you mean by "feminist" can indicate a lot about you. References made: Things like "The Wall" or "80/20" or "spinning plates" aren't part of common vocab and using those indicate where you might have picked them up. I think its wildly delusional and only begins to "make sense" if viewed through the lens of someone so myopically black-pilled that they cannot fathom the repercussions of that choice. It ignores so much while taking so much effort that could be more beneficially directed elsewhere. So the origin of the term "the red pill" is from the matrix and within that movie it used in the context you describe. "The Red Pill" as used in the subreddit title is a particular evolution of that term which describes a number of beliefs that are presented as upsetting truths about gender and dating. If you are looking at the wiki page for red pill scroll down to the section "As political metaphor" and have a read from there. Especially when it starts mentioning the manosohere. That is the spe…

Where are you that that is the norm? I would say there is a very traditional view that the only acceptable emotion for men is anger. I do not think that's helpful. And I think there are plenty of environments you can find yourself where that is not the dominant view. In my own life for instance that is not the dominant view at all. If you find the people around you are only espousing that view, are you able to change that (whether by changing who you associate with or where you physically are)?

What exactly do you mean by a "cold approach"? To me it means approaching someone who is effectively a stranger in a public setting (like a train station) and I generally think of it as one of the most difficult ways to date. Personally I find comments like this one that could be called "social vetting" generally a better idea. Expand your social circle such that you meet someone who isn't a total stranger and you are in a much "warmer" situation

My dude, what are you basing this on? Have YOU had relationships? Have you got close female friends to discuss this with? To me this sounds like a young man who's watched too much pilled content. Who are the "men" you refer to with such generality? Because it ain't me or most of my friends. Some general thoughts. To some degree or another society treats men and women differently. This varies from environment to environment, situation to situation, depending on the specific context. It's very easy to find situations where one gender has a problem or issue the other gender at least appears not to have. Even then there are often different issues that arise in the same context which are subtle and difficult to see from the outside. From that it's quite possible for a RedPilled man to n…

In general yes. I've got a bunch of good female friends including some who've had major periods of being single that overlap mine. But its not always going to be possible. I don't understand how feminism would be a negative overall. I could definitely see it clashing with someone coming from a redpill/Chad/simp mindset since they all seem to preclude dating as something approaching equals. I mean you are making some big genralizations there about women. Do you paint men with a similar broad brush? Like there are definitely women who suck. In a perfect world whomever is interested should be the initiator, and it explicitly should not be gendered. But there is a huge traditional weight against women doing any initiating. So depending on your environment (how strong and present that traditional weight is) will effect how often women initiate compared to men. Also how old are you? Now I'll concede it's possible that if you were to ask women to describe their ideal dream man's job/financial position he might be an entrepreneur making 100k at age 24. A few thoughts. Firstly in the modern western world its possible for anyone (man or woman) to live a life without a partner. I've known both at all sorts of different age groups happily existing. Any individual woman can make it without a man. I've actually usually seen it said that a woman finds it easier to exist as fully single than men (probably due to the stereotype of of women having deeper social circles). I'm not one for "singular soulmates" so I'd say some-body not some-one. A lot of the most basic dating advice floating around the world is fairly surface and can be quite unhelpful (or as you say "fairy take"). There is definitely space for more specific and detailed advice for young people, especially men, who have found themselves in a position where they don't have a good grasp on how to form relationships. There are better sources of advice than the redpill though.

I would be curious to hear from any women in that age group how they feel regarding this sort of deception. I would push back against your assertion that "it does". Within a fairly specific set of conditions it matters quite a lot. This is especially when people are being fairly superficial, like young people hooking up (and even then other factors like looks become quite important). Though its quite important if you are specifically in that environment, its important fades as you move away from that and experience more of the world.

I think the statement "women are attracted to status and money" is far too vague and far too generalized to be useful in normal conversation, and extremely easy to paint as a redpill statement. There are certainly people (men and women) who prioritize "status and money" above all and to the exclusion of all. Most people (men and women) regard at least a lack of "status and money" as a negative, and it enters into the pool of things we look at in potential partners (along with everything else lik…

The below are m understandings of the terms. The "Redpill" as a concept comes from the original Matrix movie (from 1999), and was often used as a metaphor for some particular piece of knowledge or philosophical idea that dramatically changes how you view the world. Because basic empathy. but it doesn't necessarily benefit the person choosing not to act that way. Consider you might be the one in this position today. Someone else might be in that position tomorrow where your happiness is on the line. If you work towards a culture of kindness then they might choose the option that preserves your happiness. …

If its something that if hurting you and it sounds like that's the case then you should probably be working on that more than anything else. Make a plan for how you are going to deal with this and work towards it. If you are hanging out in spaces which are pushing redpill ideas those are unlikely to be giving you helpful thoughts to move through it. Look for positive environments that might help you engage with the positive things going on in your life (hobbies, sports whatever).

This is in regards to both comments Well "go get therapy" is the "easiest" answer when it seems like someone has a serious mental issue they aren't having a lot of success working through on their own. Its quite hard to walk someone through their problems via Reddit for many real reasons. Other ideas that are often put forward are journaling or working through ideas with trusted friends. Its not really that "easy" though, but its worthwhile When you say: Live a life where you pretend you never g…

I genuinely hope that you get there. It sounds like this past relationship screwed you over pretty badly which sucks. There are relationships it takes some time to recover from and heal from and this sounds like one of them. Talk to people you trust and let time slowly heal over old wounds. Just don't go around hurting people as revenge

What you suggest will likely not really work. What would be better is to work through your past experiences, likely with a therapist or perhaps good friends. Be aware of that part of your history but don't let it control your further actions. I would suggest to learn from it, though I think I need to be clear that you need to be much more mindful to learn why that specific woman was a problem for you, what red flags did you ignore for example, that to tarnish ALL women with that experience. Its …

The last person who hurt you put some negativity into the world (your pain). That cannot be undone at this point. If you then go and put MORE negativity into the world that's now just made the world a worse place for no gain. You aren't going back in time to undo the hurt done to you. Its still there. You just create another hurt person on the world. Again it sucks that you were hurt, but you using that past hurt as an excuse to commit harm yourself does not make it acceptable or make you seem l…

No Part of getting yourself together is to work on your mental health to the point where petty revenge is not your primary motivation. If you are actively choosing to harm people as you suggest in your followup comments you have not made it there yet. You are not "together" you are still working on it And yes it sucks if someone in your past hurt you because of the harm they had suffered. That does not make it okay for you to continue the cycle of harm.

Hey so a thought I had reading this, remember a while back when the internet was full of guys (and gals) being super thirsty over Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil? How much of that do you think was guys having a fantasy that they in no way would be comfortable actually having play out? Because I suspect that would be the majority of people talking about her.

Because for most women this is not their lived experience of being a woman and observing women around them. They may know a woman, or perhaps even be that woman who believes that, but those are outliers. Its like saying "Men only like redheads". I'm sure you can find some % of men who only like redheads but its somewhat ridiculous to apply that to all men. So its just you making a false claim that they know is incorrect from their own perspective. and there are a load of negative assumptions tha…

I think you listed a fairly decent spread of what people find "attractive" and then slapped a big old label with the word "looks" on top of all of them. I don't think its an especially helpful model to consider how someone's "actions behaviours words and reactions" as "looks". They are much more useful to consider using words like personality, values, sense of humor etc.

why am i downvoted? As someone who read through this entire thread I would say you are being downvoted because you are not accepting any of the advice given and instead shielding yourself with redpill stuff. So I suspect most people are expressing their unhappiness over that via downvote. Edit to add: almost forgot the fact that you are responding to some advice with "reported" is really hard to take as anything but bad faith. So thats also likely getting you downvotes

Its a bit of a challenge to judge the scenario as its a bit bare bones. And you are offering some pretty black and white options. I think most people would end up somewhere in the middle, tending towards "let it go". Its been twenty years, hopefully for their own sake someone should of at least somewhat dealt with it and moved on, but with a bit of baggage from that (depending how the cheating went down). Like it might of been that their partner cheated on them on a work trip to Las Vegas, so if…

So to me this: they want to know if he can be the father of her kids, if he can raise a family with her. Means a lot more than: want a man that will be financially secure. I would suggest people of both genders would prefer a partner who was financially secure. Or view not bong financially secure as a negative that needs to be weighed against other positives. At least when it comes to people who are dating outside of much more traditional dating [given we are talking about women who are working …

This feels like you are interacting with a very specific subset of women who feel like that. Ive known a few women like this, usually in their late 20s through 30s and focused on building a family unit. But its definitely not the norm with younger folks and even with women in that age bracket its not a rule. Plenty of women looking to just have a good time. Have you talked to a lot of women about this?

I'm curious as I see this post itself as your only interaction with this subreddit, have you actually posted or commented on here before under a different account or is this just the result of lurking here?

Is this referring to an alternative account because i see this as a completely new account that was created today, and the only even vaguely critical comments you have received have been in the last half hour, where you have received the gentlest of most gentle pushback against your assertion that all anyone needs is to "eat healthy and work out"

Women will often get "thirsty guys" in their DMs. These aren't men in general. These are a specific subset of men. Most women learn really quick to be wary of that group of men. The chance of creepy and stalkierish behavior is quite high,, or if they progress to a sexual encounter its very likely to be quite unsatisfactory. Women who are at least somewhat conventionally attractive can very easily find bad sex. And for a woman bad sex means no orgasm, minimal pleasure, discomfort (or even pain) a…

This very much sounds like if you were getting to know a man and a woman you'd be chill with any minor misstep the man made and zero in on any minor misstep the woman made. Like you set the bar for women impossibly high so the moment she misspeaks you can chalk it up to redpill nonsense. Like I'm 38, I know a bunch of women who are complicated beings with their own flaws, just like I know a bunch of men who are complicated being with their own flaws. "what I've seen" is that there is very little…

So you never met a girl who didn't lie or manipulate you? Really? I'm still suspecting you are judging men and women on different scales since you realise men can have negative traits and still be "good" while refusing to do the same for women.
/r/ExRedPill28/08/22 08:16 PM

so a question - are the "good men" men you've gotten to know, and show ZERO negative traits? Or do they all have their own flaws and faults, its just you are more forgiving of those since you aren't looking for them?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
