That is a generalization and I feel that this applies mostly to men who have not matured, ie most of society. I don't believe that an inclination towards monogamous, heteronormative relationships is very mature. Really, a person should be motivated by strong idealism and a desire to fulfill their goals and sex, intimacy, etc. are little more than occurrences that may or may not take place in our lifetimes.
