Purely anecdotal — I left a relationship with a brain surgeon because his idea of a relationship was to spend money on me and not actual time/effort. I felt alone and quickly left. I left a relationship with a passive income that exceeded my own because he stopped being present in our relationship for a very long time. I could have stayed, but it felt empty and he was no longer kind and more insecure. He’d lash out when he was afraid of losing me, but he couldn’t be bothered to even sit and have…

Not really. I need to be attracted to the person on some level, and an highly attractive potential mate may cause me to be a little more shy/anxious up front, but that’s about it. Looks fade and it’s not worth bending myself out of shape for something so fleeting. However, without levelheadedness and experience, both sexes can be stupid when it comes to this scenario. This is especially true at younger ages.

I do believe there are betas who share and care and have their shit together. My ideal. It’s just hard for either gender to find a balanced match when the ones engaging are shitheads. I’ve checked out of dating for a while because I realized most self-proclaimed “nice guys” in the dating pool tend to be assholes. Almost... entitled? It’s so weird and discouraging. Addition: a “nice guy” who legitimately seemed to be one of the kindest and caring people I’ve met tried to say that if he gets turne…

I was initially attracted because he showed emotion. Then I realized he didn’t take responsibility for any of them. There’s a difference between showing emotions and just repeatedly telling me why he feels a way and what I should do to fix it. Phone call after phone call telling me I wasn’t doing enough. I was working 60+ hours a week, we were in the middle of snowstorms (Midwest), and I was apparently neglecting him because he’d only seen me once that week (for 9 fucking hours straight and he w…

Generalities. Alpha guys are better at faking that they have their shit together. It’s a trap. It’s also difficult to distinguish a typical alpha from a beta who does have his shit together. I have zero desire to be someone’s mother, and yet this is where relationships with average betas have mostly fallen. Purely anecdotal. I dated a beta “nice guy” who seemed to be emotionally and professionally together. His insecurities and tendency to put all emotional responsibility on me caused more emoti…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
