I think they key here is to know your audience. Certain people are going to feel more passionately than others and have a tendency to escalate arguments. I would suggest not engaging in controversial conversations with these people and to be more passive. If however, you are speaking to an open minded, polite person, it is safe to express yourself in a polite way as well. It’s important for everyone to remember to keep an open mind to everyone’s ideas. It will make you a better person and conver…

I completely agree! Good conversation is great on a first date, but that doesn’t mean I want a stranger licking the inside of my mouth!! Ew! No thanks. I just wish guys understood that it takes time for a woman to like a man. It doesn’t just happen after one date.

I seriously run into this problem all the time with OLD. Men want to kiss on the first date. Men want to get sexual by the third date. It is disgusting to me. It allows for no natural sexual chemistry/ progression when the are rushing it. Guys will pretend to be “Nice Guys” to get sex quickly. I don’t know what the answer to your question is. But I just wanted to comment and tell you that I feel your pain! Men jumping the gun to be sexual is totally annoying.

Do you think that online dating equates to women pursuing men because technically we have to swipe right on them?

I think dark colors can be very sexy if you can incorporate a pop of another color. For example a black coat with a red scarf and red nails. Or a dark purple sweater with light purple nails.

Trust me... as a female.... most of the females dating the “athletes” and “popular guys” and getting treated like shit by these men. They are being cheated on, lied to, and disrespected. Many of these girls will eventually learn that lesson (usually by age 25) and start looking for secure, good guys, who will treat them right.. rather than douchey hot athletes. I think it’s best to go for girls who have dating experience and truly know what they want in a relationship which is stability and secu…

I’m literally in your exact same situation. Same ages and everything. Moved back in with my parents. You can feel free to message me if you need someone to talk to.

In my opinion of her post, her husband seems emotionally unavailable and is exhibiting signs that he cannot have an intimate emotional relationship. That is pretty classic dismissive avoidant behavior from what I have read. I’m not claiming to be right because I obviously don’t know him in person. But I don’t think this theory can be discounted that easily. Why are you convinced this isn’t dismissive avoidant behavior? Where do you think the nature of his emotional unavailability comes from? Not…

Yeah we are definitely using it in different contexts because I am talking about Anxious Preoccupied and Dismissive Avoidant.

I don’t think attachment theory is mental illness at all. It’s just how people learn to attach/connect with other people.

You seriously need to study attachment theory. Your husband is a classic dissmissiv avoidant.

Have you heard of attachment theory? This sounds like a classic case of Dissmisive Avoidant (DA) and Anxious Preoccupied (AP) relationship. Look up ThaI Gibson on YouTube about this and see if you relate.

If you want to heal, you have to try to stop thinking about him. All of that energy and focus you need to redirect into yourself and your own life. You definitely made the right decision by leaving him. Now you need to stop wasting energy thinking about him. He is not your problem anymore. You should feel relieved. Who cares about the new chick? She will have to deal with his BS soon. Just be glad you aren’t her anymore. Beauty doesn’t mean much, love means everything. Stop comparing yourself to…

I need to be with someone who can earn/save at least the same amount or more than me. The reason I say this is because if I am the breadwinner in the relationship, I unfortunately tend to have less respect for my partner. And respect = love to men. So I have made it my goal to date people with at least the same or if not more earnings than me. I think this aligns with RPW ideology because the woman should be letting her captain steer the ship. And being the breadwinner as the woman, kind of make…

I think you two made a great decision and I’m super happy for you. It’s a great sign that you love each other’s family. That is a HUGE plus. You are very blessed! My advice: just remember to count your blessings :)

Congrats! How old are you both? Wait: Curious because getting married in under two years sounds like a fast strategy. Was curious what made you make that decision/goal.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
