I don’t like kink shaming, but I think there’s a real difference between BDSM that involves tying your partner up, roll playing and a light spanking and your partner getting off the dynamic of powerlessness and submission. I was a huge masochist at the lowest point in my life. I agreed to do a lot of debased and humiliating things because it was how I could get off, and it’s no coincidence that it was at the hands of a man who manipulated me, shamed me and eventually cheated on me. Now that I’m …

My female coworker and I were discussing how we both thought it was easier to raise girls over boys (she has three daughters, my siblings have daughters, etc). My male worker cut in and said that he thinks girls are harder to raise, and when we asked him why he thought that, he said “my aunt always told me her daughters stressed her out because they brought home good-for-nothing-boys.” To which I said, “it seems like even when you’re trying to explain how hard the girls are, the root problem was…

Oh man I cringe at myself too. I just commented the other day how my coworker took me to the ER and my boyfriend at the time refused to come and be with me. Coworker stayed even if he didn’t have to. Still went to see the boyfriend the next day. We live and learn I guess!

What’s so wrong with all other women ever that being so unlike them is a compliment?? I don’t understand the logic.

Something I wish I’d said yesterday to a male interviewer who complimented my smile out of no where and made me feel uncomfortable. “Would you have said that if I was a man?”

I’m not sure why some people think this is manipulative. I’ve been baited and manipulated for sex plenty of times in the past and the idea of not immediately jumping into bed with those same men would make them furious or contempt with me and that’s a problem. I think these are solid guidelines for ourselves. WAY too many women my age just let men walk all over them, look passed red flags and keep making excuses for those men. I’ve seen too many posts on relationship subs that talk about sleepin…

Oh man. I had a friend that was “in love” with his female “best friend” for years. Constantly did grand gestures and said all the right things. Was the impulsive romantic for a girl who told him time and time again that she wasn’t sure how she felt about him and to just move on from her. He couldn’t, because she was “irreplaceable, beautiful and perfect.” You can bet the moment she started dating someone else she was the ugliest, cruelest most selfish girl on the planet and how could she hurt hi…

I had a similar experience. Ex and I broke up and we had the typical post-break up fight and he asks a series of questions and one was “was I the biggest you had?” And I eventually answered after being hounded and said no. Crushed him. Then I went on to say the reason we didn’t work out was because I felt like I could never tell him no because he made me afraid. Was not even remotely bothered.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
