You should really consider getting work experience/ going back to school for your future. It must be really scary to not have a means of making a consistent income to financially support yourself. I highly doubt he will double back and want his old life back, seeing as though he has found someone who is not completely dependent on him financially. Understandably you had no idea things would turn out this way, but it sucks that your entire lifestyle has been funded by others and you have now foun…

Yeah you should. Honestly and openness are a part of having adult relationships

My partner used to do this at the beginning of our relationship. It doesn’t work for me. I had to teach him in some ways how I want to be taken care of. Now, when I’m having a bad day he’ll hug me, ask me what’s wrong, ask if I want a foot rub, make me a sandwich, etc. Try actually telling him what he can do to help you feel better. He might not even know where to start.

It’ll never be the same. I suggest moving on.

Why have a baby with someone who doesn’t even want one with you? The desperation is real out here

You shouldn’t try and coerce someone into proposing. At 19 years old, you are still very young and inexperienced. I recommend waiting, simply because life is weird and unexpected. Things happen, people sometimes go their separate ways due to college, cheating, etc. I’m not saying this will happen to you, but at 19 there are honestly more important things than marriage

Try asking him to do little favors for you. You can start with asking him to cook or take care of dinner for example. How he responds will tell you a lot about whether your efforts are being appreciated or not. While some men are more thoughtful than others, most men need to be clued into what we are wanting from them. Could it be possible that you haven’t asked anything of him?

I’m in college too and just recently became someone’s girlfriend. My biggest advice is to go with the flow. When I met my current boyfriend, we hung out as friends a bunch of times until he realized he wanted to be with me. He literally told me the first time we hung out that he did not want a relationship. I didn’t fight that and had a great time getting to know him platonically. Fast forward a few weeks later and he told me he was catching feelings :)

Honestly seems like you have control issues that you’re dressing up as “anxiety”. I personally would not be able to handle this. He should be allowed to drink on his nights off instead of worrying about the fact that you trip out every time he does drink. However if the anxiety is not something u can control or manage in a healthy way, consider whether this is a good relationship for u. Seems like it’s stressing both of you out.

I personally am not bothered by body count. For me, sexual compatibility is super important, so having no prior sexual experience would be a deal breaker for me. Plus, it’s a huge turn on when a man knows how to please a woman and is confident in his abilities.

You mentioned that he can’t afford to miss work or get his kids sick. I think it’s safe to assume that he’s trying to avoid catching a virus and passing it onto his kids. I don’t see this as a red flag, but as the other commenter mentioned, it’s up to you to decide whether this was a deal-breaking offense.

Ugh this is a tough one. She sounds annoying af, and it would be so much easier to address if she was your friend, instead of your boyfriend’s. I feel for you, I agree that what she’s doing is inappropriate and immature. I’ve had friends like this, and it was infuriating. I think that there’s a way to address her quirks that is gentle and innocent as well. For example, next time she lets her dress ride all the way up, hand her a blanket or a sweater to cover up and say something like “hey girl y…

Thank you. The “nobody should be interested in us” part really resonated. I’m so used to being on the giving end of my intimate relationships. I was in one relationship that was codependent but was the first time I really felt the love I desired. He was crazy about me and it felt really good. And then when he broke up with me I couldn’t handle the grief or the loneliness and I fucked everything up by sleeping with his friend. The very first person to show me attention after the breakup. Like how…

He was in my life, but was very verbally abusive. Felt really bad about myself as a result. I think that as a sensitive ass kid, his and my moms words really affected my self esteem and made me feel like I wasn’t worth loving. I don’t know how to undo years of negative programming.

Not scared to death, but at some point I’d probably lose interest. I notice that once the “honeymoon effect” / novelty of being with someone new wears off, I will constantly compare them to my ex, who no longer wants me.

Thank you. I think this is a really good point. I am working on my bachelors currently, but as of right now I don’t feel that I have anything to offer outside of my looks and my body. It’s such a shitty and embarrassing way to feel about yourself, I think that developing passions is something that I haven’t really made an effort with.
/r/RedPillWomen28/06/21 02:31 AM
2

Thank you. That’s a really good point. Similarly to what you mentioned, this habit does an excellent job of keeping my mind occupied with the frequent “how does he feel about me” “why is he acting like this” bullshit. I really do want to change, but I just don’t believe that anyone will ever love me as much as my ex used to. So it’s really hard for me to believe that the future has anything that matches what I used to have.

Thank you. Everything you said is true. I wish things were that simple though. I chase guys who are not prince charmings, they can be any guy. Im constantly told that I go for guys that are way below me in regards to looks and attractiveness. The thing they all have in common is that they can’t give me the emotional attention I want.

Thank you. I’m getting ready to finally finish my bachelors degree this fall, hopefully that will help shift my mindset. I’m just scared these bad habits will follow me to my next destination and the cycle will continue. I just want someone to love me the way I love these unavailable people.

That’s a really interesting theory, no one has ever mentioned the tranquility that comes with stoic people. I think you have a really good point, but I’m not sure that’s why I’m attracted to them. Deep down I don’t feel lovable so i think that’s why I am attracted and attached to men who care little about me. It kind of reaffirms my beliefs about myself. Thank you for your words and for the time you took to write this out. Really appreciate the insights!

Yeah my dad called me a worthless slut and a stupid bitch growing up, I think I internalized that quite a bit. I’m not necessarily attracted to men who verbally abuse me, but i absolutely seek approval from men who care very little about my well-being or emotional needs.

Now that I think of it, one of the guys did seem like he was on the spectrum. I was pretty shocked when he asked me out of nowhere if I wanted to make out. Like dude i don’t even know you!

Out of many. These guys are my age too (23). I’m a very warm and open person, I make people very comfortable and they tend to open up to me. Sometimes they are my very own friends, and then out of the blue they try to make a move on me. Other times, they are nearly strangers and they ask me if I want to hook up. It’s kind of bizarre honestly. I don’t dress provocatively so I’m not sure how I’m marketing myself as an object.

Those are all very safe and tame topics. I’m not saying you should become a total bro, but it seems like you are holding yourself back from not only enjoying yourself, but also of developing a really good connection with your partners friends. What is it that you’re telling yourself when you’re around them that is giving off the vibe that you’re bored or too good to be hanging out with them? I just think that if these are your husbands friends, then I’m sure you have more in common with them tha…

How or in what ways do you contribute to the group? Being someone wife is not enough. Part of having social intelligence is being able to hold your own and have a good time around people who you may not be super close with. If I invited someone to hang out with my friends and they kept quiet and to themselves the entire night, I’m sure my friends would think of them as boring too. I definitely can’t speak for men, or for anyone, so I can see how I may have made a generalization. I agree that there are benefits to having expectations, but comparisons on the other hand seem to have a counterproductive effect. If your partner were to compare you to someone who was much taller or to someone with a naturally better sense of humor, how exactly would that motivate you?

I wasn’t suggesting you should do that, I was just commenting on the fact that if he were in your position, his reaction would be very similar to yours (ie hurt feelings). Best of luck though!

OP says she works out with her husband, on a regular basis. The point is, that if your partner were to compare you to someone who is better looking, more successful, in better shape, and has a larger penis, I’m sure you’d feel “overemotional” too.

If he’s trying to encourage you to “improve” yourself, he sure has a fucked up way of doing it. This is not normal, and his “jokes” comparing you to Instagram models are pretty insulting. He knows damn well that if you were to send him pictures of handsome men throughout the day, he would be feeling some type of way as well. These types of comments eat away at one’s self confidence, I wonder why someone who loves you would intentionally want you to feel this way? Instead of reacting to each pict…

So here are a few things I noticed: You say you want to meet a man, but it sounds like you’re attending female dominant events. That’s not to say that men don’t enjoy theatre or go to coffee shops, but I recommend that you spend some time learning about the opposite gender and thinking about where they go and where they spend the bulk of their time. Something else I picked up on, was the fact that you’re quite shy around strangers, yet you’re eager to be noticed. Think about how your body langua…

I think it’s silly to think that just because he has never dated before somehow means that he’ll never want to date in the future. Maybe he just hasn’t found someone who he’s connected with? If you two vibe and enjoy each others company, then have a conversation about it. It doesn’t sound like you know enough about him to make these judgements, and you ought to feel things out before jumping to conclusions.

Thank you, I’m not sure who he was medical care through, but it may be tricky to access a naturopathic doctor. Thank you, I’m going to try and talk to him next time I see him/am feeling less upset. The last thing I want to do is make him feel upset or as though he is lacking control. First and foremost, I’m sorry you are going through this. There is no easy way to part with someone you love, even if they have betrayed you or hurt you as bad as he has. I recommend you take things one day at a time. Stop sleeping with him, and get tested ASAP. If you don’t have anywhere else to go right now, sleep in a different room of the house. I totally agree that people tend to show off their alter ego before revealing their “real” selves. But Im interested in hearing about your perspective on friendship prior to dating. Can you ever really build a friendship with someone you want to date? It all comes down to perspective imo. The person who you will meet and have that special incredible connection with is not like anyone else. They are that one in seven billion, that tiny percentage in your mind. But the chances of running into them I think are much higher. If they are meant to be in your life, then it is 100% going to happen. I sometimes overwhelm myself thinking the same thing (I’m 23), but have learned that love happens in the most mysterious ways. Insecurity + a fear based mindset + a negative outlook are the main things obstructing your path to relationships. Stop making this about your weight. Even when you mentioned you were thinner, you were still shit out of luck. Be real with yourself. Become the person you would want to be with first, because it’s clear that you don’t have an ounce of self confidence or pride in who you are.

Good point, I def get what you mean. Based on everyone’s responses, there seems to be an overwhelming consensus that sexy means sexually desirable, but nothing more beyond that. For the most part, this seems like an amazing new opportunity in your relationship for closeness and bonding as you’ve mentioned. The only potential issue I see here is maybe being too motherly. I think it’s easy to become too motherly and protecting when you step into the realm of vulnerability. The things he appreciates right now, may become annoying in the future. With this being said, giving him the space to lead, initiate, and take care of you is going to be important to his development as …

If your notion of self worth is dependent on your looks, you will obsess over your attractiveness to others. Normal things like acne, weight fluctuations, bad hair days, and other minor imperfections will consume your thoughts. There is simply more to lose when you are attractive. If you are a 10, you can seemingly only move down in attractiveness. On the other hand, if you consider yourself a 5, you can move in either direction.

Hey girl, yes!! I know exactly how it goes. Honestly, I feel like my vibrator has desensitized me, so I’m hesitant to continue using it. Also, as other people in the comments have mentioned, a lot of it has to do with the way we feel in the presence of others. I need to find other ways of feeling sexy and desirable that don’t involve pleasuring someone who doesn’t have my best interest at heart. At the end of the day, dick is abundant & of low value. If he’s already disrespected you or hurt you,…

very true, I notice that I struggle to date more than one man at a time. I tried to talk to other people, but it felt forced. He’s the only other guy I cared to hear from😭

Thank you for your feedback. Love your username btw😂👏🏼you’re right though, I need to become more involved in my own life rather than in someone else’s. Holding off on sex is always so difficult for me, I guess seeing them once a week would make it easier to get to the 3 months

Thank you for your feedback. I really do get swept off my feet pretty quickly and am too accommodating to new people I’m seeing. I like the suggestion to look at the positive things he did which overstepped.

I need to review the handbook ASAP. I met a guy online two weeks ago who made me like he was super interested. We went on a few really fun dates, talked on ft for 6 hours one night, he basically love bombed me and showed me a ton of interest and affection in a short amount of time. Long story short, we had sex. And now all of a sudden he’s gone. Just like that. Should have seen the red flags: -photo of ex gf still up on his Instagram -told me that his ex was psychotic + toxic -he picked up a cal…

Thank you so much! No offense taken whatsoever, this is exactly what I needed to hear for things to finally click for me. I’ve wasted 7 years of my life this bullshit, and have jumped through hoops of fire for this dude, for nothing. I should have dropped his ass a long time ago😭

Thank you for the suggestions! It’s definitely an ego thing, being in this shitty situation reinforces some of the fucked up beliefs I have regarding myself and my worth. I think you’re right, I do feel like I’ve learned what I could from this individual and the connection we have, and need to close this chapter in my life. Today I texted him and let him know that we’re wanting different things and should pursue them with other people.

Thank you for your perspective, I didn’t really see how degrading and awful his proposal was until now. I felt that not texting would actually make it easier to break away from him, since constant communication tends to strengthen the bond. I let him know today that we’re wanting different things and are better off finding it elsewhere. You’re right, he doesn’t value me whatsoever, and must love the idea of having sex with me once a week while not contributing absolutely anything to my life.

I appreciate your insight. Loneliness plays a giant factor for me wanting to sticking around. And like you said, there’s something addicting and intoxicating about being with him, even though I tend to get the shitty end of the deal. This morning I reached out and let him know we are wanting different things and should pursue them with other people.

Honestly, not much, other than a distraction from my loneliness. Thank you for your advice. I reached out and let him know we are wanting different things and should pursue them with other people.

Hi everyone, I’m struggling with separating myself from a casual situationship with my first love. We dated on and off for 7 years and it was always tumultuous, intense and drama ridden. He recently proposed a casual relationship in which we don’t text and see each other once a week. He’s told me before that he loves me, but isn’t in love with me anymore. I realize that this isn’t what I want for myself in the future, nor do I believe that my highest self would settle for this, but not having hi…
