I agree this is the narrative that is sold to men and it is damaging to men. Crying is not beneficial because it leads to support from others, it is a natural release of stress. I agree that society is more accepting of women having emotions. That was my original point.

You know they did a study recently which showed that more homophobic a man is the more likely it is that he will be sexually aroused by images of sexual acts between men. It’s worth thinking about given you don’t seem to like women very much. Maybe you could find a man to give a fuck about you.

So men are less able to control their emotions because the have more testosterone? Also you don’t need to physical strength to be violent. Guns poison and knives are all available and often used by violent men.

I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you but I am very glad for the harmless, whimsical men with emotional intelligence in my life. But I appreciate one man’s treasure is another man’s trash

I agree. Men are less able to control their emotions which leads them to be violent whereas women are able to process their emotions and as such behave violently less often

On that logic women would have higher rates of suicide and more of them would be school shooters

Men are told not to have emotions and that emotions are bad. This leads to many men being emotionally repressed and unable to express or analyse their own emotions. The only socially acceptable emotion for a man to have is anger and while it does have some value as the only emotion available it is clearly not serving men. Think higher suicide rates for men - which I would put down to not feeling able to speak about their emotional health.

I didn’t say men are at risk of being raped by women all the time or any of those other things. I said to a man that if he was assaulted he should have reported it, he has the same protection from the law that a woman would and it would be the same people to rescue a man or woman - the police

If you are sexually assaulted by a woman you should report it to the police. It will be the only way to stop it happening to others in future. I’m sorry that happened to you

Are you saying you and all men would willingly have sex with literally any woman alive?

Poison doesn’t though. You don’t need physical strength to cause someone you live with harm. Wives could easily kill husbands if they wanted to but it is rare, many more men do harm and kill their wives/kids/exs. I don’t think it is because men are inherently bad and women are inherently good though. It’s a symptom of a sick society that hurts men and women.

But if women wanted to physically harm men now they could use weapons, as many men do when assaulting each other and women.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
