Distribution is more important than average, because even a small percent of really obese people would bring the average up. My guess is the typical Asian person is still skinny.

Are you blind or illiterate? Your question is answered in the link. 35% of the low income bracket is a large enough portion that someone who supposedly has worked with poor people would have encountered several mothers who had to quit their jobs due to daycare costs. Yet apparently I’m the one who lives in a bubble. I’m going to end this conversation since you can neither present data to back your claims nor read the data presented

The women most likely to be SAHMs are the richest (husband income >$250k) and the poorest (husband income <$25k) The majority of working moms are middle class

Lol @ boomers not understanding what calling someone a boomer means. Perhaps you should go back to Nextdoor.

TIL anyone who disagrees with me MUST live outside the US. It can’t simply be that I’m wrong and out of touch. Typical boomer mentality lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/22 04:14 PM

Just because you raised a child doesn’t mean you’re aware of what it costs to raise a child in 2022. This is like a boomer who says “the best way to get a job is to give them a firm handshake!”. Your entire argument can be refuted by looking up the costs of infant daycare vs average salary of women. And not everyone lives near family or friends who can care for young children. “I lIVe In AmEriCa” doesn’t refute easily searchable facts
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/22 04:04 PM
2

It’s not a falsehood. Have you looked up daycare prices recently? Where I am (HCOL city in the US) it comes out to $3k/month or $36k/yr per kid. A woman at the lowest income brackets would be losing money sending her kid to daycare. I know plenty of working class women who had were forced to be SAHMs for the first few years of their kids life because their salary couldn’t afford daycare. It sounds like you’re the one who doesn’t know what childcare expenses entail.

Ok? I don’t see what that has to do with my original comment. I said I personally would not settle for less than an expensive ring and wedding not that every woman ever has to.

Bro I’m already married to a guy who could afford a $10k ring and everything else I listed as I said in my original comment. I’m not saying all women should have my standards. I just happened to be in the minority of women who could get away with having those standards

I just find it hilarious the supposed “RP” men of this sub need female approval to do what they want. Women dgaf if men try to shame them for height preferences but men apparently can’t function unless us “post wall hags” stop shaming them for dating young women.

I have a diamond engagement ring and would not have settled for less. But my husband and I are both very high earners (our combined income this year will be $600 - $700k) so the cost of the ring was still a fraction of our post tax take home income. We also already owned property and didn’t have debt. The way I see it is like this—I think if you’re an average person with average income it’s totally reasonable to not want to spend multiple months of salary on a ring. Financially it makes more sen…

It depends on where on the spectrum of dark triad they are. Most successful people have some level of Machiavellianism, psychopathy and narcissism BUT if you go too far in any of those you end up becoming Jeffrey Dahmer. The “dark triad” people you see with social influence are just above the population average. Ie they have enough traits to get ahead in life but not so much that people dislike them.

There’s a massive increase in birth defects for parents over 40, not to mention pregnancy at that age is way more dangerous for the mother. I also agree the comment elsewhere in this thread that people who wait super late to have kids care more about their careers than raising a family.

No, we’re shaming rich women who exploit poor women’s bodies. I’m not sure why you have this black and white thinking where everything needs to be banned.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/22 10:36 PM

We should form a society where people’s choices don’t boil down to “use my body to birth a baby” or “work minimum”. It’s not binary
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/22 10:28 PM
4

Something being legal doesn’t mean it’s not morally corrupt. And it’s not a “win” if a woman has to sacrifice her body to have a baby she can’t keep because her alternative is minimum wage.

Yes I’m sure your ONE piece of anecdotal evidence totally discredits actual statistics on this. If surrogacy is so great and not exploitative then why is it only poor, mostly WoC who go through with it? Why aren’t there middle class and above women lining up to be surrogates to pay for college tuition? Treating women’s bodies like some sort of commodity that can be bought is disgusting. This is what privileged rich white “feminism” looks like.

Surrogacy is immoral and exploitative. I can’t think of anything more late stage capitalism than rich people using a poor, probably desperate for money woman to birth their children. That being said I think men (and women) who want bio children after 40+ are dumb anyway

2

Yeah fair enough. I think expecting quick turn around for sex in irl dating is more reasonable
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 08:24 PM

The majority of women have casual sex with guys they know. Fucking a total stranger off OLD on the very first date is pretty rare ime. I think guys trying to apply irl rules to OLD are going to run into a lot of problems. There’s a large group of women who’d hook up with a guy they know as an acquaintance without needing to be wined and dined, but not with a stranger.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 08:09 PM

The majority of women have not fucked a guy on the first date jfc. I think it’s fine for guys to have a “three date rule” if they want but y’all are insane if you believe the cock carousel is a real thing and not a small minority of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 07:43 PM
2

Most men can get dates irl. Most men can’t get dates on OLD because the ratio of men to women is significantly higher (iirc it’s 7:1 on Tinder these days). I have no idea what Chad has to do with statistics. It’s statistically impossible that a woman would not be able to secure a single date with a normal dude off OLD unless she was extremely picky.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 05:12 PM
6

It also shows most women can get dates from their thousands of matches
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 03:06 PM

How does that change my point
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 03:06 PM

You can go to the Tinder sub and see recent stats if you don’t believe me.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 11:55 AM
14

You can “literally” go to r/Tinder and look at the stats for women, we have an extremely easy time getting dates. If you argued your friend didn’t find a good relationship I’d believe it but if she can’t even find date she’s a) not that hot and b) reaching too high. “Done modeling” means jack shit. There’s plenty of commercial models that are average looking and high fashion models are not attractive to men anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 11:50 AM
13

You’re overestimating your friends attractiveness and underestimating the guys she matches. It’s extremely common for women to think their friends are hotter than they actually are. Women also underestimate how many options guys are the very top have. I’m guessing your friend is a 6/7 but is trying to match with dudes who are 8 - 10 and have a plethora of options. For the record I had plenty of normal dates off Tinder (including meeting my husband) 6 yrs ago. I have friends who are definitely no…
