The "Gender Wage Gap" is why I was (formerly) a feministI make 50¢ more than my two female coworkers. But here's the thing, I make more than them per hour now because I asked for it. If women and men were socialized from birth and embedded in a culture that didn't lead to this difference in outcome then your co-workers would just be particular women who didn't ask for an increase for their own particular reasons. We don't live in that world. We live in one which is teaches people different lessons depending on their (assigned) gender. It's exactly pr… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 21/03/23 06:22 PM

Not being good-looking can be a blessing in disguiseWhy are you getting so heated about it? They can afford to, since they are so not unattractive? That's my guess. | /r/ExRedPill | 22/04/22 12:28 PM
Corporations are not your fucking friend and you should not take politics from them. Don't let them influence you. It's also in the fossil fuel companies' interest to encourage people to feel they have no personal responsibility for climate change. Apathy and inaction and leaving decisions to others is what they want from us. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 26/09/21 09:38 AM
Incels. Why empathy works better than derision.Empathy is hard and exhausting. Derision and hate feeds itself in a reaction that is self sustaining. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 19/08/21 10:59 AM
To our detractors. Where is this hate?Any focus on men, however temporary or contingent, is helping an already privileged group. Tax money and charitable donations given to projects like homeless shelters that mostly help men amount to a form of theft from women. The work you do here, advocating for men and not women, is itself also inherently sexist and a type of theft. This seems to be the very black and white/winner-takes-all/zero-sum attitude that some self-consciously-liberal, terminally-online men and women take. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 19/08/21 10:01 AM
A common response to males committing suicide 3x times as often as women is “That’s because men choose more violent & lethal methods”, with misandrist implications that it’s a result of men being inherently violent. In reality, studies show that even using the same less-lethal methods, men die more. Then why do they die more? Personally I think that men make fewer attempts since they they don't expect to receive any help from the attempt. I don't have any data but my default position, I suppose, is that most attempts are people trying to articulate their suffering in way that will be heard, rather than a sincere try to self-annihilate. Men expect to feel shame and be shamed at looking for attention in that way. Just some thoughts. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 12/08/21 10:31 AM

My family's response to the Men's Day infographic. How would you guys have responded to them?when sexual assault is a prominent issue in male prisons No mate, that doesn't count. Crimes committed by males against males are Men's fault. | /r/MensRights | 20/11/20 06:38 PM
