Well, as someone in her 30s, here's some advice that may sound dull to you, but seriously, be yourself. Forget about having "game" because all that really entails are tricks and tactics that aren't authentic to you as you are naturally. It also only/usually attracts people for the short-term, which, as I'm reminded I'm talking to someone far younger than myself, may actually be your endgame versus what it may be for someone older like me. You would have to know what your priorities are. As for g…

Lol. That bit at the end. I can definitely see if backfiring. I just say though, nothing wrong with a guy being super shy/reserved either. It may just come down to preference. My boyfriend is more on the reserved side (as am I) a good chunk of the time.

Ugh, 8 months to be precise and I learned my lesson from that crap lol. We weren't even having sex, so can't even say booty call but rather he was probably hoping I'd be. Luckily pulled a whole 180 when I met my boyfriend. Whew!

Hmm, interesting. See, coming from a female perspective (and of course I don't speak for all women), if I were to ask, I'd also feel needy for the very reasons you say lol. Honestly, I feel like this could work both ways. We're both waiting for the other person to do the asking in the end. Women just so happen to end up asking, not because we're pursuing, we're tired of waiting on you 😂. That, and if it's not going anywhere, there's no point in continuing dating either. Both my boyfriend and my …

You're welcome! And it was on his part. He was increasingly becoming more focused on himself and his goals (trying to be a therapist and graduating) and shutting me out. For example, I could text him and he wouldn't reply for three or four days. He worked constantly. I felt like I didn't have a boyfriend anymore. I told him this, fully expecting him to try to work on things with me. Instead, he decided to break up with me, which I thought a really cheap way out when you spent five years with som…

I find it fascinating a lot of the comments mention not to say anything and let the woman bring it up. For the most part, we hate doing this lol. The only reason we ask is because a length of time has passed where we've been waiting for you to ask. All the while there's a lot of anxiety going on about whether you see us as something more, how much you really like us, and maybe we're really not going anywhere. Us asking that question is usually filled with fear of what you're going to say and utt…

30F here! I feel like I'm a terrible person to answer this because my stories of how my boyfriend and ex asked me to be their gf were VERY out of the norm 😂. With my ex (I was 21), we met, became friends, and became a couple within 4 weeks. Didn't even go on any official dates yet. We just had a really good vibe and wanted to test a relationship together. We were with each other for 5 years. With my current boyfriend, it was a little different, but roughly the same lol. I was 28, soon to be 29, …

Space is a good thing. I love my boyfriend, and even then I wouldn't make plans to see him every day. There is truth to the whole "distance makes the heart grow fonder." My boyfriend and I have had date nights every weekend since we started seeing each other almost two years ago. Throw in the fact that covid started about three months into our relationship, we had 2-hour tv date nights over video chat twice a week which we still continue. So, at most I'm seeing him 3 times a week, at least once …

Glad to give you someone to look up to! Relationships definitely aren't easy, but effort (on both partners!) goes a long way ☺️

Definitely agree with that. My boyfriend and I love to do different things. We're always doing something different so we have something new to look forward to and enjoy that experience together.

Build experiences. I feel like relationships fizzle because people stop dating each other. There's nothing new. Everything becomes monotonous. My boyfriend and I have been together for almost two years and I still feel as excited with him as when we first started dating. We watch TV shows 1-2 times a week over video chat. We have a date every weekend, and we've never skipped a weekend since we got together. So, my major takeaway is to don't ever stop trying in a relationship. Try new things toge…

As a woman, I'm gonna say that I think it's less about you chasing and more about the fact that you were relaxed. That makes women relaxed, not necessarily that they're "chasing" you. I can see how your behavior in the beginning might have been a turnoff. Not gonna lie, I imagined Gaston from Beauty and the Beast lol. One of the things that attracted me to my boyfriend was simply the casualness in how we interacted with each other. I find that if people could be more comfortable in their skin an…

I find that when first meeting someone, there's always a bit of awkwardness and the standard "boring" questions. The where do you live, what do you do, what are your hobbies, etc. I think it helps to sound interested in what the other person is doing so it engages them. They may end up talking more about it and then it can lead to more questions. I met my boyfriend on a dating app. He went axe-throwing and his profile pic was of his axe hitting the bullseye. I messaged him and asked what it was …
