Haha idk it helped me. The moment I stopped chasing women and being outgoing to show im a worthy boyfriend and started going into dates with 0 care and just to have fun while talking to other women, women started chasing me. The amount of pain ive been through after so much investment when a woman will just get over me after one right swipe on tinder has led me to this and it has been great. If I meet a woman this way that is wife material, ill change my tune, but for now, im not bending over ba…

Ive had this conversation on here and in person...every time it is a denial, a deflection, a whataboutism, or a claim of sounding incellish...NEVER acknowledgement. Never.

Maybe not calling men incels for pointing out the struggle haha

Idk man, I cant say if im hot or not, but I was definitely a hopeless romantic. Going out of my way to express my interest in a date, to learn about her favorite things and plan fun things around them and cook her favorite foods...they always ended up leaving (all dating app women for context). When I finally gave up and decided not to invest in any woman beyond meeting them for hookups and basically creating a roster of women I go on dates with after months on the apps, it is annoyingly obvious…

Lol because they havnt experienced the things men experience. Easy to give things away when youre rich

I just dont think they want to admit it. Deep down the must know it though or they just lack the empathy to admit it is a thing for men. They will instead resort to whataboutism before ever admitting men have it worse on the apps

It does not actually. It shows they swipe right on those more desirable than themselves. The study measures attractiveness by desirability and it ranks people in one big pool...it doesnt seperate men and women. If men swipe right 50% of the time or whatever the exact number is, it causes women to appear more desirable than most men in the rank but in reality, men just arnt as picky because they dont really have much of a choice to be picky...they have to broaden their pool of women in hopes they…

Haha im glad someone else noticed. Ive called her out on it in another post. You can show her all the evidence in the world and she will just put words in your mouth, straw man, change the topic. It is rather sad.

Yeah nah, just untrue. First reply on your post explained it better than I can so I will defer to him. It is shocking that people still deny this sort of stuff. Absolute denial of reality.

Yeah exactly. Hell will turn over before women in developed countries like US ever admit their privilege. Rather annoying when they want to harp about male priveledge while completely being oblivious to their own.

Dont bother with her. You can give her ever fact and the world could come together and agree with you but she still would deflect/straw man/put words in your mouth. She isnt worth the finger strokes.

you dont buy my premise...says the lady with no empathy or ability to see another perspective and insists on repeatedly putting words in my mouth. You have 0 idea what it takes for men. It would be like me, a man, trying to tell you how to handle the pain of a period. Youre so off the mark and remarkably stubborn that I really dont care to continue whatever it is we are doing here.

I tried to explain why there is methodology flaw causing the appearance that women are lowering standards of attractiveness (as the study defines attractiveness, not actually how handsome a guy is). It is below the same comment you responded to, give it a quick read. Thought it was interesting when I realized the methods in the study and how it completely paints the wrong picture of what is happening.

Ive never denied there are more men on the apps though, I just didnt say it myself because that is an obvious thing that actually supports my argument. Im glad we have some common ground. And in person meets at bars and stuff after college, to actually find your person not just a hookup, is rather dead. The higher standards of women caused by the apps trickle over to the real world too. And I can name the studies if you want that show the swipe % difference between men and women. Or you can just…

Also, that okcupid article was from 2009. It is 2026, young people were barely using dating apps back then. The dynamic today is almost unrecognizable to how it was in 2009. There are also many signicant flaws and measurement mismatches in that article...especially with how it measures attractiveness. Your confirmation bias is showing by attempting to use that as support. I guarentee you that those stats today support my argument many times over. More men on the apps only proved my point even fu…

Men are expected to do the first initiation and shoot their shot, and plan the date. Women can and do just wait and window shop in the modern dating app age. That is likely what he is getting at.

Not a single thing you said was a valid counter argument. Then you proceed to lie about how I think and my opinions? Yeah youre not worth my time. Good day

Men are not selective though. They swipe right 46% of the time vs a women's 6 to 8%. I truly do not care if a woman has sex who whoever she wants - not fair if men can and women cant and i condemn the men who shame them but I understand men that dont want long term date/marry a woman who has been with alot of partners (idc personally but I can understand their point). Theres pretty clear stats that women, in the few right swipes they give, are all going after the upper 5 to 10% of men on the app…

You truly get it lol. It is incredibly relieving that you exist to articulate that in such a clear way. There is always a counter from women that men are just acting like "woe is me" when they try to explain this. The dating apps have literally increased women's standards, decreased men's standards (due to backlogs of options) and further proves that most women cherry pick what gender role norms to keep and what to do away with. I wish men and women could trade spots for a month or two so that w…

That is exactly why you will never come to an answer that makes you satified. You lack empathy on the matter. The answer is dangling right in front of you, but you are being too dismissive and unwilling to empathize to get it. It really is less complicated than you think.

Exactly, id say 99% of the time, it is expected that I initiate first contact, I plan the date, I pay for it. Not paying is a often a quick way to not get a 2nd date. Cant take the view of minority of women that want to split the bill and share the effort as the typical standard on dating apps. It just doesnt work that way. I dates a girl who didnt clean, couldnt cook, didnt make much money - i did all the planning, finances, cooking, cleaning, scheduling of important responsibilities. I put a t…

I really dont mean to be disrespectful at all, im just giving you the honest truth here because Ive recognized that it is a little hard for a woman to put themselves in a man's shoes for this particular topic...they dont have a choice to find women with those gender norms because just getting 1 like a week is a miracle. If men on the apps narrow down the net to something as specific as that, they'd never meet anyone for a very long time. Hell they probably wouldn't even know if all the people th…

I truly don't think you grasp the impact that dating apps have had on women's standards vs men's standards. No offense, but it really shows.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 07:51 AM

? No one is saying that though. It truly comes down to the dynamic that women are selective on the apps, swiping right only 4 to 8% of the time (usually on top 5 to 10% of men), while men swipe right on 43%+ to better their chances of getting 1 match. Many men that want a relationship or a hookup are frustrated by that dynamic, yes, but to the other guys point - all frustrated at the hypocritical choices women make in this whole non gender role conforming movement...theyll still pick the alpha t…

If we are talking majority vs minority of men, youre talking about a minority versus the larger proportion of men the guy before explains. This is what most men agree on when discussing the topic (particularly those still dating in the current dating app era). Your ex is definitely not the majority.

Just want to talk about your first point: Men HAVE to cast a wider net in the age of dating apps. They dont have the options women do - majority of the time, women are still the ones being approached, not the other way around because the supply demand dynamic on those apps. Idk why, but majority of women will just refuse to acknowledge how it is for men on there (or belittle/invalidate the fact it is notable problem for men) and will instead redirect the topic to their struggle of having to sift…

Lol I just got banned from R/dating because I "participated in other subreddits that doesn't align with their beliefs". The people making those rules need to be permanently shut down. This is actually insane

Yep, I have had it happen to me twice in liberal spaces too. They just prefer to not even have a chance to see other perspectives, only thing that affirm their own. On X, atleast opposing thoughts are visible. Reddit is a serious drag on society due to this dynamic.

Echochambers like TwoX are so detrimental to a society...it would do people alot of good if they practiced trying to understand different perspectives rather than seek confirmation all the time. Reddit should really enforce rules that prohibit permabans just for sharing different opinions. If a comment is relevant to a post, then it has to stay. Dont help people run away from different opinions all the time by allowing echochambers like that to develop through crazy mods

Well said. Women just have more choices, which means they have alot of fall back options and can go after desirables rather than settle. Just the way of the world - even moreso since dating apps.

What the hell kind of men are you hanging out with? Ive never seen this issue personally. Also, men can still feel lonely even if they have best friends their whole life...not having a girlfriend and that level of intimacy has made me feel lonely in the past.

Haha dude so true...it literally is a male brothel for women. Endless choices for them to hook up with. It's hard for me to have empathy about their struggle on the apps.

Do you even using dating apps? Ive seen and experienced countless examples and heard from multiple women from my early 20s to my 30s that women are attracted to guys that are a challenge. When the guy has limited options or shows too much affection, the woman becomes unnattracted to him...its a real thing and it's extremely prevalent on the apps. Ive seen it so many times at this point that I think it is a biological thing. Women claiming that this doesn't happen constantly are in denial..they d…

Sorry but saying men don't realize how upfront women need to be to get his attention is crazy to me. A woman just needs to approach me and ask for my number and id be honored because men are the ones that have to do the approaching and deal with constant rejection. Women have the luxury of choice on average more than men do.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 03:00 AM

Are you actually denying that women are pickier than guys? Men will settle for anything...3 to 5s even if he's an 8 if it means easy hookup. Idk how you can deny that. If you're a woman, i don't think you spent enough time around a room filled with guy friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 02:49 AM

Look you're right, women will lose interest when a guy isn't a challenge and a guy is a challenge because he has other dating options. I won't say that's true all the time but that is true close to 90% of the time on the apps. Add that with men on average having signicantly lower standards than women for hookups. Alot of guys on the apps just want to hook up and will be perfectly fine going for someone less attractive and the less attractive woman thinks she can end up with these sort of guys in…
