Totally agreed. I'm not even really religious, but communities working together and being influenced by social factors rather than force is a great thing.

A lot of the power women have over men today comes from the government, so I do think we'd see more of a natural balance with more liberty.

The state should have no place in any of this. I'd be all for getting rid of the many government institutions that incentivize bad decisions, but more regulations aren't going to help anything. Besides, how can there be virtue with no choice? Let people who are going to make bad decisions make them and suffer the consequences. As for universities, let them choose who they will admit.

Totally agreed. I just worry about my ability to keep up a home and work at the same time. I'm sure it won't be easy!

I haven't seen this movie, but great clip! Thanks for sharing. As I finish up college these next couple years, this is something I've thought a lot about. I really do want to be there to raise my family in the future. After consulting my SO, he's told me he would prefer I work and have my own career. Frankly, I do love programming and I think it will be a rewarding career. My main goal is to get to a point where I can work from home so I can be a homemaker too. I just don't know how much I'll be…

Your husband is more important than your in-laws. Keep being kind to him and let the results speak for themselves. Also, try not to make a show of the fact you're doing something for him, because you aren't supposed to be trying to make yourself look good. That's not what it's about.

Well this does affect the relationship... in a positive way!

My SO is aware of this, but he doesn't browse the subreddits himself. We're able to have some really interesting conversations on social concepts and gender because of it though!

I thought Princess Jellyfish was pretty cute. It's on Netflix! Shame they only had one season and ended on a bit of a cliffhanger though.

A bit of lemon juice and salt make for a nice electrolyte replenishing sipping experience.

Yeah that's part of the reason I'd rather make my own. They're good as a quick snack, but it'd be much more preferable to make my own. I might try the emailing though!

Keto is great. Lost like 30 lbs on it last year. Starting back up tomorrow because I love the mental clarity and enhanced athletic performance. I take it you've had Quest bars? They're pretty good, but making my own would be fun too. Would you happen to recommend a powder? I've been looking to get some grass fed whey at some point.

Hey everyone, not new to red pill women, but I haven't been on this new sub yet! I haven't been active in a while because we'd gotten really busy. I jumped on the IRC because I have to take a general education course and thought you all would get a kick out of some of the contents of it, but I guess the IRC rules have changed, so here's my introduction! I've missed the conversations on here because I've been having to deal with a lot of academia nonsense lately. My answers: It's not catchy or an…

I agree with the others here. Just depends on whatever works for your relationship. My SO is dyslexic so he thinks it's best for me to manage it, and I'm totally fine with that. I still consult him on purchases and ask him what he thinks.

Cooking meat used to be a bit intimidating for me as well, but now it's pretty much my favorite thing to cook! I think what helped me was to start with oven baked recipes because they're a bit easier to manage. They take longer so you have more time to check on them. Does he like chicken wings? Those can be really easy to make. I prefer red meat personally, but there are a lot of easy poultry dishes you can make in the oven. Red meat is nice because you don't have to worry as much about cooking …

I got ISTP-A this time around. It's changed about each time I've taken the test, but the description seems to fit for the most part. Relationships part seems a bit off because I don't get bored in mine, and I've only ever been with my current SO (3+ years). Career stuff is spot on though since I'm going into software engineering. I also find it sort of interesting to see which famous people share types, at least according to this website (click your specific type in the side navigation bar to se…

Well I started at a 4 year university last semester but really didn't feel right there. Might be the whole party culture of it. But this semester I started at the local community college and I like the culture so much more. I was in the computer science program at the 4 year, and now I'm going for an associates in programming. Do you have any specific career plans for after business school?

I'm in an apartment with my own room/bathroom and share a kitchen with 3 girls I don't really know too well. I couldn't do the dorm thing because I like my personal space and have a computer I built with some pretty expensive parts and didn't want to trust strangers with it. I cook here and found a really awesome local farm to buy meat from. May I ask what you're studying?

I decided to start keto when I moved out for my first semester actually, but I only lasted a week or two. So this time I started back after all the Thanksgiving leftovers were gone! It was hard, but I managed to not cheat during Christmas, and I'm still on it. Also, it's funny you mention libertarianism because one of my first thoughts when I saw your reply was wondering if you were libertarian as well! And last semester was your first college semester ever? If so, what a crazy coincidence.

Oh totally! Actually, funny thing is I think I originally found keto because someone in this sub mentioned it. It's a pretty nice way to eat. When did you start keto?

On the 13th, SO and I are going on a double date with a couple we're friends with who are visiting from out of town! The 14th, we don't have terribly solid plans, but my aunt recently gave me $50 in giftcards she didn't want, and they can be used at a few different restaurants. We're thinking Red Lobster since I've never been and I'm on keto. I'll have to avoid the cheddar biscuits, but I love seafood so I should be fine!

I took one of those tests again last week and got ENTP, but I was pretty much right on the line between extrovert and introvert. I think ambivert is more accurate, since it sort of just depends on the situation for me. I don't love spending time out around people I don't know, but I love the company of my SO and close friends, and mostly prefer being around these people to being alone.

Ahh, thank you! I was just telling my mom I'd like to make the pie crust from scratch this year, so this is perfect. Looking forward to trying this.

This year is my first year living on my own, so I'm going back to my parents' house for Thanksgiving. My mom has to work on Thanksgiving (hospital job), so for the first time, I'll be doing a majority of the cooking! I'm pretty excited. The plan is to have dinner ready when she gets home. She'll make her stuffing and I'll make pumpkin pie the night before. Then on the day of, I get to make turkey, corn casserole, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy, and bread of some kind (any good reci…

I think this is my first comment here, so hi ladies! Sorry this is so lengthy. I guess you could say I used to be influenced by feminism in some ways, though I've always held the idea that promiscuity is generally bad for society, so that's one point they never won me over on. I've been with my SO for 2 1/2 years at this point. We got together when we were still in high school, and I had a bit of a control freak mindset (kinda got that from my dad). So, yeah, we ended up having a lot of problems…
