I wouldn't argue deserve vs not. I'd argue that unless she was blinded by some psychotic level of love for you she'd see that you were trying to earn brownie points with beta behaviors. Which is great, assuming she wants to be loyal and happy with you. If she wanted you to be the father of her children you doing those things would be amazing. If she doesn't want that for a second you're now a little bitch who should burn in hell. Gotta love that logic.

I'd argue that TRP is a bit for the successful men. There's a point where I realized that I could spin my experience into mentorship (leadership and technical knowledge). It makes me feel good to pass on what I've learned in a concentrated way to someone who will appreciate it. Few men are so overwhelmingly successful 24/7 that passing on their tribal knowledge doesn't occur to them.

I do in the sense that I lament that ghosting is the best option for humans who don't operate on the premise of harsh truths (5% of the population). A thorough explanation of why you're leaving is not good for most people. They'll rationalize it away or just curse at you for being an asshole. Honestly, my time in the Corps has not helped connecting with people who want to be coddled in every conversation.
