Ok fine, who cares. Feminists are fighting against traditional gender roles too. Nobody's saying females don't perpetuate patriarchy/traditional gender roles too (just like how this post blames males for a 'men's rights' issue)

polymorphic patriarchy I don't know what this means.
/r/MensRights28/05/14 12:14 AM

Wow it's almost as if there's a patriarchy or something that gives value to macho men who sleep with women, and the same problems that feminists are complaining about are causing these problems that men are facing, almost as if this "patriarchy" is awful to both men and women. I hope I've made some point to you guys that agree with this post but still things feminists are awful humans.

For the record Phyllis Schlafly is also a large reason the Equal Rights Amendment didn't pass (another move to piss off both groups lmao)

The story has merit, just not here which I assume is about the issues surrounding men. This has nothing to do with those issues and so the only reason I see it being posted here is because people want to have a "DAE hate feminists" circlejerk. I'm not defending her but I'm confused as to why this sub cares what she did wrong (and is being charged for, she isn't getting away with anything)

I'm just saying mocking her has no place here where this community is being made fun of on SNL for hating feminism.

If anything it just shows how militantly anti-feminist the subscribers of this sub are, anything that could be used to mock feminists will -.-

No way this thread is real. Are you saying that women can't be part of a system that doesn't give rights to women? Your logic is so bad I don't even know where to begin...

I'm just appalled that you would consider the phrase "Rape Culture" a pejorative attack. It's not an attack on men or woman, it's just the status of our culture where people blame women for being raped. You might not agree with it to the full extent but I'm not saying anything crazy worth being called out on. Anyway if you reply to this message I won't reply as I don't think any of us are going to change each other's minds about anything.
/r/MensRights12/03/14 03:50 PM
3

Are you fucking serious? No seriously are you so offended by the fact that I refer to a term used by feminists (who are supposedly the villains and opposite of MRAs) that you would actually call me out on it? I just wanted to say that there are better ways to teach your child about consent and everything important about healthy relationships besides what this guy's mother did, I don't think I said anything entirely toxic or triggering to you disempowered MRAs.
/r/MensRights12/03/14 03:24 PM
2

I'm sure there's ways to have discussions on consent and rape culture without having to make your child anxious of becoming a rapist. I wouldn't call your mom a radical feminist, she just seemed like an overall manipulative person, I'm sorry :(
/r/MensRights12/03/14 03:02 AM
3

I mean I'm not sure what this is saying. The reasons that feminists feel females are disadvantaged are the same reasons that there are more male police officers in dangerous situations and why the titanic urged for women and children to be saved first. It's toxic for both genders and displaying it in a male vs female way isn't beneficial for anyone.
/r/MensRights28/01/14 03:40 AM

Wow, I'm legitimately shocked. A men's rights post that is not only related to men's rights, but actually advocates for feminism. I am proud =] But yeah fashion/entertainment/celebrity magazines are all trash, they should be the first ones banned. Source on the misogyny campaign in UK?

lmao, "sperm theft" is an interesting way of wording things.
/r/MensRights03/12/13 10:00 PM
1

Well I assume a 'men's rights' subreddit should be focused on men and their problems in society, not on the negative effects of victim culture or whatever. I know the reason most people upvoted this is because they saw "Look how evil women are, so manipulative! So against men!" which is a ridiculous thing for this subreddit to get behind. And we all know who gets hurt most in this game and who wins. No it is not just men vs. women. Who do you mean then?
/r/MensRights28/11/13 06:49 PM
1

People are allowed to do whatever they want. I'm allowed to comment saying what they do is stupid though. The tread is saying that victim worship has now lead to this lesbian waitress to use her orientation to her advantage to fool society. No "men's rights" were infringed in this whole situation (sure the man in the family was humiliated but that's not because he's a man). Therefore I don't think this has much relevance to Men's Rights besides the slippery slope "sometimes this leads to false a…

Lulwut. Do you really want to be an antifeminist movement? That's about the quickest way to not be taken seriously at all and I'm glad upvotes and other comments show people agree with me and not you.

Except Mens rights shouldn't be anti social justice warrior. Extremists =/= Feminists
/r/MensRights28/11/13 04:48 AM

Well that might have been extreme, but finding an example of a random manipulative women (not even manipulating gender) and saying she's the result of feminism is pretty extreme.

I'm not unsubscribed but with over 200 subreddits I only see a few on my front page at a time
/r/MensRights27/11/13 11:11 PM

Fine, I'll respond to you then. If you say this is related to women being manipulative then you're basically saying men's rights is about women being evil and we should stop them all at their core. Feminists aren't all out to get you. This shouldn't be men vs women. That is all.
/r/MensRights27/11/13 11:08 PM
-1

But just because there are insane social justice warriors that doesn't mean that all people who identify as feminists are to be shat on. Patriarchy and rape culture are real concerns, not only for women but for men too. It's not an appeal to emotion, the society is literally set up so men are perceived as stronger than women and that is hurting everyone. Outside of Tumblr I don't think I've met anyone as crazy as a SJW, so please don't use them as a model of feminism kthxbai
/r/MensRights27/11/13 11:07 PM
-2

And /that's/ where we differ. If MRAs make the connection that feminists are equated to whiny social justice bloggers then of course we/they won't be taken seriously. Feminists are for the most part are rational and /nice/ people that are just trying to fight the negative effects the 'patriarchy' has on them (such as rape culture which might not exist on the level the TiA examples may believe but you can't say it doesn't exist). And really my image of the MRAs is hopefully the same thing, men wh…

I try my best to do that too (I've posted a story or two here) but calling people out can't hurt. And there have been things that were actual men's rights issues posted about here that I felt were valuable, so it's not like the quality is constantly this bad,
/r/MensRights27/11/13 04:42 PM

I'm going to assume you're a troll but regardless something that affects a man is not a men's rights issue and I'm not even sure why you bring divorce into this o.o

Sorry, I was being mixed up between comments. Anyway I wouldn't be able to say that it's only gender, there's a difference between reporting on the daily kos vs posting on a live fb page. Anyway I see your point, anything can relate to gender but the OP didn't try to make any connections at all (where you tried) making his post basically "let's laugh at women"
/r/MensRights27/11/13 08:46 AM

Lol, most of the times I attack this subreddit I get downvoted to hell. I do want to see a mensrights that is actually high quality and discusses problems men have and how to solve them though, so let's continue despite the arbitrary voting.
/r/MensRights27/11/13 08:39 AM

Well to be fair this one starts with saying gay waitress was a fraud while the other one was thought to be someone who actually didn't get a tip
/r/MensRights27/11/13 08:05 AM
11

And therefore mens rights?
/r/MensRights27/11/13 07:53 AM

That is moronic and I hope I dont have to explain why a "wiminz are evul too!!" subreddit is whiny and adds nothing. If anything I would say society would expect the woman to be more manipulative but I'm not getting into that here because that /shouldn't/ be the purpose of a men's rights group that wants to be taken seriously.

Huh?? I'm honestly shocked. What the /fuck/ does this have to do with Mens Rights? This subreddit has actually turned into a bunch of boys crying about how feminists are evil. No wonder they think men's rights is an idiotic cause... Edit: If you respond to this please don't equate feminism with Social Justice Warriors or manipulative women unless you want me to be angry at you that is all. I think something to avoid the wrath of people who are going to say "But you can't be sexist against men!" is to just say that it's the patriarchy that's fucking us all. Use the word patriarchy. A lot. It's bad. Yeah. Good luck :)
/r/MensRights25/11/13 04:30 AM

Feminists =\= whiny women and you should feel bad about applying this to the term feminists to garner upvotes from the hivemind. This is /why/ feminists think MRA groups are hate groups, because places like our subreddit spew this shit. Just stop please...

:( This is really sad, not only for the Mens Rights area but just because it's a general shitty feeling to be blamed and punished for something you didn't do. Reminds me of this article about a sexist 4th grade teacher: http://www.the-niceguy.com/articles/FourthGradeTeacher.html

I'm sorry, but how the fuck is this in any way related to Men's Rights? Sure this is a man, and his rights were infringed, but it doesn't look like the situation would be any different if he was a woman.

The thing is, this isn't really sexism in the "The bar owners hate men!" version of sexism. It's more that due to business practices this is what makes them more money. If men refuse to be treated like shit bar owners will pay attention, but they seem to be keeping up with it, sad =[ P.S. I'm a guy too (though I said they), I just don't go to bars :P

To be honest I don't think I've ever heard "Grow some balls" in that context, it's normally used to mean "Be more courageous," and it's even normal to tell this to girls. Your ex is just a psychopath, good job getting rid of her, but I don't see what men's rights this is. This subreddit isn't "lets complain about women we hate!"

What the actual fuck. You are the male version of a crazy batshit feminist. I never said women are entitled to feel uncomfortable over everything, I quite specifically said there are rude men who make women feel uncomfortable. Not really, saying that women can't hear the word Fuck and saying that women shouldn't be subject to verbal sexual abuse is different. I'm not saying there shouldn't be free speech (I'm not saying there should be) but it is important to note the distinction

Honestly though lie detectors are a bit intimidating. Imagine just going through a rape, your mind is juggling enough things, you don't want to have to deal with "maybe I wasn't actually raped, maybe it was my fault and the lie detector knows that!" (because some people do have these thoughts after being legitimately raped). There is a problem with rape accusations but maybe there is another way to deal with it. I don't think so, calling black people African American doesn't make sense in all cases. Like I went to a mosque for a field trip, and the lady there said Muhammad used African Americans as slaves, I didn't correct her because English wasn't her first language but still.
