Ah, okay.. so because false accusations are "Very rare" men who are falsely accused are not worthy of being called victims of a crime is that what you are saying? literally never said that. If someone is falsely accused of a crime then yeah they are victims It's just not a huge risk I'm a man, I date women, and I'm not worried at all about having false accusations made against me

Who cares if they're a virgin? Most men aren't virgins before marriage. You can still find a loving partner and have a happy marriage

how would you tackle defending the country? Pay soldiers enough that adults want to sign up, don't rely on tricking teenagers into signing unbreakable 5 year contracts that might literally kill them why do you gender that? The original question was gendered so I responded in kind. But yeah, a 30yo woman chasing a high school senior would also be creepy af if teenage girls chase adult men and coerce or manipulate them "false accusation + lie about age" it is not creepy? If you're a grown ass man,…

I'd say a starting point would be at least 21yo. Personally, I don't feel comfortable going that young (im 31yo), and have my tinder settings at 24yo. I feel pretty confident that a 24yo is capable of consent.

What does this question have to do with old men dating teenagers?

how would you tackle dating + initiating in our society with upbringing of children "correlation" in mind? I'm sorry I genuinely am confused by the question. Can you rephrase what you are asking? If you want a solution: I guess, just be aware that women need to be cautious around men, and don't take it personally. Try and do things that make them feel a little bit safer. btw analyzing data about criminals, violence and toxic behavior often leads to skewed conclusions as key elements are missing.…

Very true. The interpersonal factors of work are super important. I just recently landed a much higher-paying job than I previously had, and the reason was actually largely because I had a friend (fellow man) who I had a connection with

I think that the numbers are very different. I don't think that there are very many men who are falsely jailed for rape. In fact, very few rape accusations are ever prosecuted/convicted. Most rapists probably don't face legal consequences. On the other hand, something like 1 in 3 women experience sexual assault in their lifetimes.

In the US and Canada, around 1 in 5 people has tried ENM (ethical non-monogamy) at some point in their lives, but very few practice long term. At any given time only 4-5% of these societies practices ENM. And even then, a big chunk of the ENM crowd is gay, so they aren't even impacting hetero dating life. Source: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-polyamorists-next-door/201905/updated-estimate-number-non-monogamous-people-in-us And in other countries I am almost certain it's even rarer;…

Over 95% of society is monogamous

63% of men are single, while only around 30% of women are single(2022), in the 1950s that number was around 22% for both genders. Modern society has disproportionately effected men when it comes to relationships and I believe it’s even worse now in 2024. This is clearly impossible, unless women are getting gay marriages in HUGE numbers (they aren't). There's about the same number of men as women, so about the same proportions have to be single

Because females hold so much sexual power over men Are you really powerless against women? Are you not an adult who can regulate your own needs? Dating is challenging for everybody. Women get lots of hits on dating apps, but at the end of the day, 95% of our society is monogamous. Since there's basically equal numbers of men and women (actually a few more women, and men are more likely to be homosexual), the math just implies that the situation has to end up equal. ENM couples are a different st…

This is a serious problem. I think that as men we should try and normalize platonic touch between men. Not all touch needs to come from women, we're depriving ourselves.

I don't think that we should draw the line at 18. The military is a fucked up and predatory organization. And it's creepy for 30yo men to chase teenagers

legally doesn't equal ethically there are countries where the age of consent is 11. I'd hope you would agree that's fucked up

Regardless of the genders, a 26yo dating an 18yo is not really appropriate. An 18yo doesn't really know what life is like, doesn't understand their options very well, and really is fairly vulnerable compared to a 26yo. And before someone comes at me with "well 18yos can join the military", that shit is fucked up as well. Legal doesn't mean ethical

Have you considered that "her softness, support, and compassion" are also traits that she has to work for in order to earn your love? From what I've seen, women put a lot of work into their relationships on the whole.

This statistic is misleading. Financially stable men--like ones who own homes--are highly desirable as dating/marriage partners. Owning a home lets men find wives, so they stop being single. Financially stable women--like ones who own homes--are not much more socially desirable as dating/marriage partners; men select heavily for looks and youth. So these women remain single at higher rates. Men aren't being screwed out of homeownership. They're getting homeownership and a spouse.

Just note that when you see videos like this, the people making them can choose who they want to include. They could be interviewing 100 women for each woman that they find who is upset about the new dynamics. Many women are likely happy to have less harassment.

I think that I see the opposite. In my workplace women are frequently doing a ton of work compared to many men.

There's two elements that I think are relevant here. 1) Aggressive responses to rejection are still bad, even if they don't escalate to murder. Men will yell, call the woman a b***h, and frequently act in a threatening manner when rejected. Not saying the majority of men do that, but it's common enough that most women experience that level of harassment many multiple times by the time they hit 25. 2) Some men do kill women. It's rare, but it's enough that they need to be concerned. And that fact…
