Solipsism is egocentrism on steroids. Not just Instagram etc, but particularly women who feel entitled to marriage just for existing. The sorts of women who will divorce readily when the going gets tough

It's difficult to relate to those guys, but the common denominators between them are that they're bitter, depressed, and don't seem to think of women as human beings. Most of them are ultra cons too. Sure, being disfigured is deeply alienating, but I wonder how many of them are. Surprise encounters have always been my favourite. Recall one time, staying at a friends, his flatmate just asked me to sleep with her. We hadn't exchanged a word before then! And I was a portly guy in my late teens, she…

Casting off all inner and outer forms of oppression, digging deep into my true self, and fully accepting and understanding my wants in life. That was the first step. Continuing to enjoy freer, unconditional, yet meaningful connections with women who captivated me intellectually and spiritually. Getting younger with age. Rather than leaving a trail of resentment behind me, maintaining those friendships for the long haul. Not having been clouded by idealism or led astray by blind love

You're swimming against the current of a solipsistic society. You'll need to get yourself to a place where you're not miserable alone, so you make the right choice. No man or woman is an island, however. Good to see you're on the purple pill, as opposed to red (which is infantile and absolutist)

Likewise. I'd like to think love can be more unconditional and operate beyond the conventional set up, which I'm just not wired for. It's claustrophobic. Spent years in misery as a sensitive, free spirited guy trying to do that. It's tricky to find something real yet free... On the darker side, I also think that institutions are crumbling, and that steroidal capitalism/consumerism has impacted on our ability to commit. We're encouraged to consume from an abundance of options and products, yet me…

My take - fix the economy first. Conservatism, benevolent sexism and outdated ideals have met the brickwall of a failing monetary system. That's the root of tensions between the sexes in an atomised society... Either the economy recovers and we revert to the old ways in dating, or everyone embraces feminist egalitarianism. Average men can't live up to the expectations that many women hold onto, and that reality has festered to a point of hostile sexism... Of course, these men could engage their …

I do, but I don't. I fall into the free spirit category, so my wiring is unusual on this. Stability, loyalty, love, yes, but the typical dynamic sought by most women is just so utterly claustrophobic. And it's so high risk and idealistic too...decades with one person, day in, day out One thing is for certain, you're far better off being single than being in a tolerable or toxic relationship. Yet to have a relationship that was better than singledom
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/22 01:58 PM

That's the power dynamics at play, I think too. I'm more on the sub side, but as a guy, I'm always conscious of attraction dynamics/respect too. If a guy is into being led around like a dog, it'd take some maturity for that not to filter out beyond the bedroom doors and harm the connection

I LIVE for doing this. Wonderfully aesthetic, soft, sensually degrading... That said, I've had it returned in kind. As a guy, I just felt awful about her doing that. Call me old-fashioned

They're great! Promiscuity isn't an indication of much when it comes to women... They can be highly sensitive, genius, spiritual, eccentric, artistic, creative, academic, level- headed, discreet, empowered, accepting, unorthodox... It's the quiet ones, as they say

Okay! My very, very last comment, as you're continuing to engage with me. I'm a free spirited, warm-hearted guy. Way, way, way on the political left. An artist and guitarist. Not a sexist bone in my body. As a younger man, I was absolutely benevolently sexist and didn't understand myself. I landed myself in trouble, as many men in this space have done. All I thought I wanted was a wife, house, kids...but one after the other, I ran into women who only wanted casual as I toured, and long after. It…

I'll give a last response to this thread, then I'm done here. Said my piece, really. A similar view towards single mothers wouldn't be hateful in my opinion. If she has a baby on the way, or a very young child, then it's probably best she just deals with stuff on her own for awhile. If she has 3-5 kids, that's just going to be too much for most to deal with. But, being a single mother shouldn't be a dealbreaker in of itself, some are very much worth getting involved with. What matters most is ge…

No clue. I know plenty of single mothers, all perfectly lovely, reasonable, kind human beings. Some aren't relationship material in my eyes, some are. Some are far harder working than I. Nothing hateful in considering your own financial interest or life position. I wouldn't take on an army of young kids on that weren't mine, no. But let's switch this around. Are the majority of single fathers trainwrecks? Is every person with a failed relationship a trainwreck? No disrespect, I'm done with this …

The "secret" to understanding women is to realise they're far more similar to men than different. Men aren't immune to being the saviour or playing the martyr. Or wanting to shake things up and live vicariously. Evil is sexy. So, in answer to your question, for similar reasons as to why men fall for bad women.

Yes. Reality happens to be nuanced, as are women. In Egypt, both men and women wore kohl to imitate the gods, protect their health, improve their appearance and appear wealthy. Makeup is competitive and aesthetic, not necessarily sexual signalling.

Totally bro. Good to see someone adapt and not turn bitter; women like this absolutely do exist. There are women into every quirk, body shape and personality type. Women who want to be the dominant partner etc etc. Sexual polarity is a thing which can play out in reverse. There are no hard and fast rules in love, and I have no clue as to your tastes, personality etc, but you'd likely have better success amongst the LGBTQ+ and alternative communities. Crypto guru Maren springs to mind, she has a …

The latter mainly, but I'd question it all given sample sizes. My life is chock-full of experiences that run contrary to what he and his followers believe. I have been an obese teenager, broke, with bad skin and had pretty blondes ask me out. It happens. Granted, a man with broader appeal would always have had more options than I did at the time. And yes, I'm taking care of myself these days, but the truth is this: Attraction is not a choice. Lighting strikes where it strikes, it is not a wholly…

The red pill is attractive, but equally pernicious. Here you are, advocating that this vetting of yours is somehow prudent and actionable, rather than dehumanising... How can any man ascertain a woman's sexual history reliably? That's rarely possible. She's either forthcoming on that or she isn't. A good liar, or not... I know well-spoken, well-dressed women who happen to be promiscuous. They are (understandably) very discreet about it. I know of women who dress proactively, yet are fairly conse…

The moment you wade into absolutism, you're harming yourself and shaming women for the crime of having sexual experiences. You're also eliminating the sexually adventurous from your love life. Why do that?! Tomassi and Cooper are total dicks for pushing this rhetoric. Case in point, I knew a singer years ago. Still do. She had a thing for me. Now, I know she had some good times, a menage a trois some time before we met... Bloody really nice woman. Today, she's been married for years and years an…

Almost entirely, as per OP. The self-protectionism of the red pill is indistinguishable from raving misogyny. Most of what Tomassi preaches is baseless drivel. Peruse this thread and you'll see how idealistically the men on here love women

Yes it does. Absolutely does. Those women have various issues or fucked up values. Or the guys just put on a convincing front to get what they want, which is just so fucking awful. Alot of casual sex goes on between decent people.

1/ Yes. Nice guys are afraid to get down and dirty when the mood calls for it. On misogynists, that trend is wildly overstated. I know lots of women who'll turn away a hot guy if he's offensive. Some women have low esteem, many don't. That's a pervasive, misogynistic notion in the manosphere. 2/ Think I have. A benevolently sexist man does not truly like women. He's wrapped up in various falsehoods and ideals, not reality. How can a nice guy claim to like women? He can't even be his natural self…

Yes, both struggle due to the internals. They're being benevolently sexist, instead of building authentic connection. The majority of women like sex. Alot!

I'm not mischaracterising red pill. 'Never date a single mother', 'never date a woman over 30', etc. That's not mere protectionism...it's hatred of women. Promiscuous women can make for wonderful wives, too. Really. Some of the kindest, most cultured women I've ever known have been very liberated. Promiscuity runs high in the creative circles for example - musicians, actresses, artists etc Some single mothers are truly wonderful human beings. Consider the irony; most men happen upon the red pill…

A touch semantical. Being meek around women in a romantic or erotically-charged setting is borderline disrespectful, I'd say. Sometimes you just have to step up for another's enjoyment. That's being a social creature.

Lots of questions! 1/ Nice guys are repressed, harbouring all manner of falsehoods, insecurities and resentments. Respecting women is as simple as being good company and being upfront about your wants. At the right time. 2/ 'Bending over backwards' is well-considered wording. If she's interested, it'll be as effortless as breathing. As a younger man, there have been a few occasions in my life where words were barely exchanged. Attraction isn't a choice. Just happens when alcohol is around. Yes, …

Act being the operative word. Why act? Nice guys are blinded by several conservative notions of women and don't have the brass or confidence to make their intentions clear. They pursue uninterested women etc etc

FlapperFemmeFatale dropping truth bombs here. Respecting women doesn't mean being meek, rather the opposite - taking a playful, fun, honest approach and building trust. Being genuinely into them. Without an enjoyable human to human connection, the clothes aren't coming off. Too many men are in a hurry, dishonest etc. Casual sex or LTRs, there's not that much of a difference in how men should go about either
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/21 10:53 PM

We disagree. That behaviour advertises a fundamental truth "I'm in a rush to have sex with you, without taking any interest in who you actually are." So, I'm speaking of the 'distance' between men and women here, the objectification. Why do awful pick up artists purport that acting aloof and indifferent works? Because that's just normal human behaviour, safety-building.

Good points. I'll concede that there's complex interplay between progressivism and conservatism on this front; humanity hasn't fully subscribed to either. Ageism, unwanted sexualisation/male attention, plenty of downsides unique to women in a gynocentric society. Silent suffering amongst many men. It's a shitshow

Somewhere in the middle of these assumptions. Tall. Maybe a 7 or 8 out of 10 naturally speaking, but carrying a fair few excess pounds. (I hate talking scales, all really subjective.) All of these women are left-leaning politically. Free-spirited women are very rare (they want space, freedom and true intimacy like myself), women on the rebound/after fun far less so

Thanks. Partly agree, with the caveat that gynocentrism is born of conservatism in my view. Men romanticise women and wrap them in cotton wool, throw money at their nakedness, defend them to the death, yet also gangrape them. Society is unraveling; increasingly atomised, individualistic, with a failing monetary system, so its human nature to retain the upper hand in sexual selection. Women are guilty of many obnoxious behaviours on this front. We're all brainwashed to an extent, and it's difficu…

Agreed there. We're not as freethinking as we assume - solipsism, individualism and a preoccupation with the feelies are endemic in society. Those factors are influencing my romantic decisions no doubt... Benevolent sexism, conservatism and monogamy have their upsides of course! Cohen lyrics spring to mind here "There is no decent place to stand In a massacre; But if a woman take your hand Then go and stand with her."

I have an IQ near 140. It's largely alienating as a free-spirited creative. Could've been a surgeon, psychiatrist etc but would've struggled beyond that professionally speaking. Usually the smartest guy in the room. Occasionally find myself wildly out of depth with Oxford grads. Anyhow... I have no problem with women to start with. I'm a born flirt, love clever wordplay etc. Plenty of women THINK they value intelligence and are self-professed sapiophiles... But, due to a combination of cultural …

I know actors. They act. Scenes like this mean nothing; this reaction comes off as weakness/insecurity, not enforcement of boundaries. I'd hold the frame that no other guy represents a threat. I'd also be mindful that 'it's just your turn' with her in all likelihood. Actual porn is something else ofc.

It's blindingly obvious to me that the source of your depression is the low-paid day job; it's infringing on your purpose. Take steps, nothing extreme, towards landing a better day job. (I'd suggest something in IT) My purpose is art. Couldn't do shit towards it until I lost a 3 hour commute, landed a work from home job. No two ways about it, you want to rise above mediocrity, be prepared to do shit when you're tired.

Your value is dropping in her eyes certainly. Response depends on the girl. I'm assuming she's above average, not stunning, kind, with some insecurity. I'm assuming she's displayed interest. If so, you might be out-gaming her in this case. Drop the bullshit as you have nothing to lose. Go the gentleman route, give a genuine compliment, be direct in your communication (no push-pull, backhanded compliments, teasing etc) and directly ask her on a decent date. Don't make her feel pressure. Walk if s…
