Yeah, you get half your genes from your mother. It isn't like beta traits are only on the Y chromosome. I would even say it makes more sense (I think) for beta traits to be on X chromosomes. Of course it isn't all nature, nurture also plays a part.

Their beta traits are from their mothers, because beta traits aren't weeded out of women. Random mutations could be another reason. And of course the fact that beta men do get lucky, but at great cost to themselves.

Oh right, because not believing you without evidence makes one ignorant. Ignorance may mean uninformed, but listening to you would make one misinformed.

I've heard a lot of this stuff from my mom and aunts before discovering TRP. Some of the stuff I figured out growing up as a poor immigrant in a rough neighborhood.

I mean, I know feminists get very upset with this, but egalitarian should be the word for actual gender equality. "Bu-bu-but then feminism doesn't get due credit", well if the word has been tainted you gotta take the negative with the positive. You can't take due credit without due criticism. All that is happening is that "feminists" are getting polarized to the more extreme end, so egalitarian would make more sense.

Ah personal attacks, the last defense for those who have no argument. What argument do you think I made? All I said is that men and women are different, as evidenced by all of human history. I think the OP did an excellent job of saying why men and women are different in this particular aspect. Do you disagree with the OP? Do you think men and women are the same in this aspect? Suffice it to say, I think the OP's point of how men and women are different is a good enough argument. All I did is gi…

You think the claim that "men and women are different" is unsubstantiated? Excuse me, what planet do you live on? If that weren't thoroughly evidenced by all of human history, I don't know what else you need. If men and women weren't different, feminists wouldn't spend so much time trying to convince everyone they aren't. If I claim the sky is blue, it would be ridiculous to say "don't make that claim without evidence, also I shouldn't be asked to give evidence that the sky is green".

Its not any more of a lazy, nonsense argument than "men and women are the same". Why are they the same despite all the glaring dimorphism in biology, socialization, and history. In what ways does that explain how this similarity is meaningful in this respect.

So pretty much like any other situation. That's a fantasy. Does that include underemployment and people who have given up looking for work? They can, but usually won't.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/17 04:39 AM

Yeah, because men and women are different. The blue pillers would say "well why doesn't that apply to men as well"?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/17 04:28 AM

Men are frequently told women are just like men. That is clearly untrue. So I could see blue pill men projecting masculine feelings on to women, if they truly fell for that message.

A man who has done blue collar work should be moving up to management by that age. You think those kinds of work will be relevant for women with liberal arts degrees? Young women with liberal arts degrees can hardly get jobs when they're young!

I'm still a young man but this definitely has not been my experience. Just at work the other day, some coworker was setting up another coworker (29) with a 42 year old. He wasn't even rich. Of course this 29 year old wasn't the best looking gal, but it isn't like she's totally fat. Just a little chubby. Saying they get zero (or even nearly zero) isn't true.

[Most] SAHDs aren't divorce rapists because they believe in treating women like that. http://www.forbes.com/sites/emmajohnson/2014/11/20/why-do-so-few-men-get-alimony/#8a9eb8523c29

Here is what I think so we don't have to keep going around in circles: I think the plurality of SAHMs from the upper classes are divorce rapists, many SAHMs are not but only because they can't be (too poor), and the majority of divorce rapists are SAHMs not SAHDs.

Pro athletes haven't been accused of being the smartest of the bunch. What's that statistic of the majority of pro football players going broke? I wouldn't be surprised if their girls dipped soon afterwards too.

A man works hard and becomes successful. A woman is attracted to a successful man. The man believes in "love" and thinks she likes him for who he actually is rather than his status. They get married, he continues to work hard, she contributes nothing and relies on him for support. She eventually divorces him and becomes a divorce rapist. And that's how I met your mother!
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/17 02:02 AM

That's a big if, it assumes the woman is contributing when she divorce rapes. Many divorce rapists are women who get a free ride from their already successful husbands.

So SAHM's are more likely to divorce rape?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/17 01:53 AM

How is it ignorance? I have posted sources, you just provide anecdotal evidence. Seems like a bit of projection. But don't worry about me, mean words over the internet don't do anything to my feelings. I mean, I'm not a woman, am I? That low income woman would have been low income no matter what, her marriage did not force her into that position.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/17 01:46 AM

That isn't true though. They could be educated in liberal arts, which is not more likely to be higher paying than trades. There is a stark difference in the kinds of things women get educated in, and their subsequent earning potential.

Are SAHDs or SAHMs more likely to divorce rape? responded to with: They are more likely to be perceived as getting a financial windfall and are definitely the most likely to get alimony. Who is they? Might as well have answered with 'yes'.

They can't. Lesbians divorce at higher rates than gay men across cultures. Women are so bad at marriage, they can't even do it with other women.

OP had 38% of wives making more than their husband, that is more than the minority. Honestly, I don't think we have enough data. We need to categorize it by age. I could see women making more if the husband is still in school or something like that. This number would be more relevant for older couples. My parents were in a similar situation. When they were young, my dad was in med school and my mom worked. She made more. But when he became a doctor, he made more than she ever would.

Then I suggest you work on your reading comprehension. How likely is it that they lose their assets to men? I remember this article about men not taking alimony. Men don't act the same way as women when it comes to divorce. Is there a similar article that shows or contradicts men not taking marital assets? In my experience, that is typically how it goes. The woman keeps the house and most assets, especially if she was earning money. You are just creating a fantasy scenario of the virtuous put-up…

Aren't those parties mostly by the rich? Divorce is a status symbol for rich women, usually because it means they got a ton of money from their ex and are now living it up on their dime. I don't think any of those women would "live it up" by getting on PPD, and I don't think their friends would either. 100% of these responses will be no.

According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 38% of American wives earn more than their husbands. However, where both spouses work, it’s 29% (which means 9% involve unemployed men). I haven't looked at the data myself yet, but don't these types of relationships tend to happen with lower-middle-class or lower class people? In other words poorer people? Those would be the class where the guy doesn't really risk divorce rape anyway. Divorce rape is only really a concern for financially we…

In societies where these things did happen (pre-Islamic Arabia, Nepal, Australia, some parts of Africa), as a female, it didn't matter what it sounded like to you. 5 out of 6 people enjoy gang rape.

No woman "stays" virginal, except for nuns. And even then its kind of a crapshoot.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/15 10:36 PM

It was definitely the norm in pre-Islamic Arabia. A woman of age would have many male suitors. They'd all do her (not at the same time though, I don't think). She'd get pregnant and take care of the kid with minimal assistance. Funny enough, Islam actually gave more rights to women. And for a long time Islamic women had more rights than women in other parts of the world.

But then no one will want to raise the kid. Mandatory paternity tests would be necessary to keep this system viable.

Perhaps because they can be so insufferable, teenage boys are often marked down. The OECD found that boys did much better in its anonymised tests than in teacher assessments. The gap with girls in reading was a third smaller, and the gap in maths—where boys were already ahead—opened up further. In another finding that suggests a lack of even-handedness among teachers, boys are more likely than girls to be forced to repeat a year, even when they are of equal ability. What is behind this discrimin…

"You are legally allowed to kill somebody, but we are also legally allowed to arrest you for killing somebody, despite the fact that what you're doing is completely legal in the first place. Are you even coherent right now? You only arrest people for doing something wrong (ideally). In the analogy you drew, arresting someone would correspond to not going out with a person because they were considered a "slut". How are those two things equivalent. It seems like a copout to you because your analog…

We already got to the root of the issue. It is instinctual, you dismissed that offhand. Who is saying "Women, you can't have as much sex as you want."? That is a strawman. If you are referring to TRP, TRP says women can choose to be sluts, but then men can also choose not to be with those sluts and not be shamed for having that preference. Practical bases have already been mentioned above. They include paternity issues, STD risks, possible effects on divorce rates, past emotional baggage, past e…

I didn't realize comparisons were invalid, just because you decided only one topic could be discussed at a time. But disregarding that, you entire rant can be answered by reading the OP. This statement here: No other reason. Is incorrect. The main reason why the existence of this double standard has persisted for so long and why it is, in my opinion, justified is because men and women are playing on an entirely different playing field when it comes to the sexual market place. The playing field i…

It's not instinctual. It's a learned reaction. Maybe not for you, but for some it is instinctual (at least one person in the world). Then not liking men of certain races or of certain heights is also learned (due to cultural influences on attractiveness), and should be similarly scrutinized. "lol AWALT-y special snowflake victim narrative of feels" I don't see what that has to do with this. A woman saying she doesn't prefer tall men would be "special snowflake-like" yes, but that isn't the analo…

Tall women not dating short men is sometimes a result of an insecurity about their own height (as per numerous answers from /r/askwomen). But why is it not like that? Are you saying that it isn't instinctual for many men (or at least a significant minority)?

I'm poly, so it definitely affects me differently from most people here, but why is there a PROBLEM with women fucking people who aren't you (I use "you" as a nonspecific pronoun, I'm not directly referring to you in particular)? You are definitely outside of the norm. Its a visceral thing. You know how some women justify their unattraction to short men as something they just can't help? Its like that. Dude, if I was a tall, good looking white guy I probably wouldn't turn to TRP either. You have "it" in terms of what women are looking for physically. How many men do you think have what you have? Not many, and we've been relegated to the sidelines. Yeah, some of us have "made it". A lot of us haven't. And of that number, some of us have turned to TRP. And the sad thing is I can't even work towards it - how can I make myself whiter or taller? Your experience directly contradicts mine because the…

I'd start to question the socioeconomic rather than gender dynamics. But it isn't necessary to separate them. They are all interconnected. Gender dynamics, socioeconomic status, race, and other artificial social structures.

I don't follow. You are leaving out parts of the 'TRP philosophy'. It isn't purely about sex. Most of the agitation I see among TRP is how they believe women 'use' men like Olly. In this particular situation, the presumption is, for the perpetuation of the species, kids would have to be born. Since Olly is having 0 sex, none of his genes get passed on (reducing long term genetic variation). However, either Alice, Betty, or Candy may expect Olly to rear her child (who is presumably the child of A…
