VS is a company. The chase money, not ideals. (Though like any company, their motives have to be marketed as "for the public".) There's probably a dying demographic of women who want all the frills and pink. I used to love all that stuff too - had a huge closet of the stuff, then one day, I looked through all of it and could NOT stop laughing. Half of it looks ridiculous, honestly. And the fabrics (particularly at VS) were uncomfortable. Execs probably weighed the cost of introducing high qualit…

I love this idea so much. As a young woman, it's so important to embrace that each one of us has a sexual side to our bodies, and that we're allowed to feel good and explore that ALL ON OUR OWN. That there's no one in the universe who is entitled to pursuing OR repressing that part of you.

So this will be a long reply, but I really honestly hope you read it. So many people, women and men, are convinced they're fundamentally flawed, ugly, or meant to be unloved in someway when in reality it's more about your environment and how you are attempting to see yourself. On one hand, you're very right, a woman's worth is in her appearance. As it's been true past millennia and beyond. While there are other traits to leverage that truth a little bit - your personality, how good you are with …

This in itself is subjective though. Take the saying, "men love crazy". To some men - depending on what you've grown up with, what traumas you've dealt with, whatever - crazy IS sexy. The unexpected highs and lows, the fights and make up sex, the manipulative energy that's sometimes used by some women. Some men are really into that - and as alpha as they are, successful and secure, we can't help what we're attracted to. In that sense, the attention span is also the culprit - because Ms. Sunshine…

That's really bad - and as a woman who's been there - at least in my situation, I am SO. With no exaggeration. SO much happier that I chose to move out. Initially, I thought my ex was quite a catch as well - good job, open to discussion, did many of the chores, displayed acts of kindness or extra care towards the work I put into the relationship... And then he was unemployed. Not even for very long - say 3 months? But in that time, I realized I was seeing a whole new person - someone who blamed …

You're just used to that little numbing pressure in the back of your neck while looking up at someone for too long. 😂 It's gonna be fine. If you really are attracted to this man and think so highly of his other qualities, you'll grow to like his height too.

I totally believe in the bias of the Oedipus complex - that we tend to go for what's familiar and the traits our prominent caregivers had. Therefore it would make sense that it's different woman to woman. According to some studies for example, girls who grew up around men who had facial hair tend to be more attracted to partners with beards and such. Little odd, but it applies to body hair too. I wouldn't have a hard time imagining other traits work in the same way : like how we learn to love th…

I think it's the decision making process that weighs in. Repulsive might be the wrong word but some people really are turned off by artificially. The one I'm dating now for example, always see's me as my best with extremely minimal makeup. I used to always wear eyeliner and blush, but he will even notice quick swipes to fill in my brows. I've more or less thrown away half my routine because he genuinely has a different reaction to seeing me with more makeup. To add to relevance, I felt like I go…

People change, sometimes in devastating ways. You can either decide to follow him through this valley that sounds like it's designed to demote you to a position of concubine rather than wife, OR walk away with dignity. What he feels entitled to right now is a woman who does what you do (take care of kids, stay fit, pay 50/50 mortgage, stay loyal) AND let's him sleep with other women. Clearly you don't want that. So don't delude yourself into thinking you should change such a core value to satisf…

I agree that today people are so cold about sexual activity, but with dating apps being what they are, people think it's a transactional experience. "I give my time, they give theirs, and we go on our way." Even the ones who claim to want to stay in touch do this - maybe because they've come across the next woman, maybe because they just needed to get laid for a temporary boost in esteem,... rebound. Who knows. It's not your job to find out the reason why though. They have their reasons and that…

You're receiving a lot of helpful advice here and turning it down due to your preconceived notions about dating - the same ones that clearly aren't getting you anywhere. The trouble about dating is that it's really just a timeline of meet and greets - sometimes these meetings get extended, through multiple dates, sex, or friendships. But ultimately, most people settle into a time where they long for something more secure and dependable on the long term. This is because we eventually want deeper …

Yes. Obviously. You need to stop posting this - more internet opinions won't change your situation. Your boyfriend wants the both of you to be options that's why he's not clearly making definitive statements. Either really work to save the relationship and encourage (or compromise) that he won't talk to his ex secretly anymore (which you won't be able to regulate) or stop being in denial that he doesn't have respect for you as a partner and move on.

That sounds like gaslighting to be honest. Here, let me make you feel bad about yourself and think it's your problem by alluding to a problem that might exist... Adults confront eachother about issues, point blank. He sounds like a very immature individual.
