I have been going nuts about this. Everytime my ex comes over to visit our daughter, he spends most of the time talking at me. When I bring it to his attention, he makes me feel bad about it. And then keeps on talking..

Just about anything a man could do for me, I can do for myself. Don't waste your time waiting for them to treat you right, treat yourself !

Thanks, I joined the sub. I haven't been on reddit in a little while so I wasn't sure if I was doing it right. Now I know :)

I wouldn't even know where to begin! I do have plenty of crazy stories and have been through enough to write a few books so I might just try that.

Hah! Unfortunately no.. it's a nerve cancer so he feels like he is on fire most of the time so we can find relief in that at least.

Oh, I know. When he floats around lying to everyone that he is the "only person alive with this rare type of cancer" I want to say, "not for long"!

Exactly! Also helps that they had status. I'm sorry your ex did that to you, though I'm happy he is an ex now! My ex uses the "C Card" (his words) any chance he gets. I get it to some degree, but not when you're just using or screwing over others for your own benefit.

My ex thinks that once he gets his shit together (I dont see that even happening because he already has 2 boys age 7&9 with 2 other women that won't let him around) that I am gonna move in with him so he can "spend his days with the kids and die happy". Even though I have gently and firmly told him no, I will never live under the same roof as him again. I dont even feel comfortable being alone with him because he has RAPED me. No way will I be his pretend housewife so he can see his kid at HIS o…

Fully agree with you! My first birth was on my back, long labor and I had a nasty tear. My 2nd birth was on all fours, shorter labor, and out in 2 pushes. No tearing. 1st was at home with 2 midwives and the 2nd time was alone at home with my boyfriend at the time. Most of the time, women don't need hospital interventions.

I think I remember reading that one. Everyone was like "LeAvE hEr" and I think he said he would. Utterly pathetic.

And at least he is stable for your daughter (thanks to you). I can't get my ex to even buy diapers for our daughter, yet he is just sooo broken up about not getting to see her (its not my choice, yet). He has def made a clown out of me one too many times but good riddance! My future looks brighter than ever and I hope yours does, too!

I'm so happy you noped the heck out of there! Im not OP but for me, I always knew there was something wrong with my ex but didn't know what until shortly after I finally had a safe opportunity to leave him in Sep '19. In the comfort of my new home, I started searching 'Psychopath' and 'Sociopath' which led me to Narcissists. During my online search, a lady popped up named Melanie Tonia Evans and I started reading her website, joined her webinars, etc. It all clicked, and I was able to start heal…

This hits home! Yesterday my delusional, narc LV ex brought me to tears out of complete frustration. Every day he texts me and dumps his (highly exaggerated) problems on me. (Dying of cancer, living out of car, can't get a job, evil exes took all of his kids away, poor me poor me, etc.) Meanwhile, I'm raising our non verbal 2.5 y/o daughter by myself. The only thing he contributes is food from his EBT card. He knows I'm going through a difficult time myself right now, but he thinks we can "help …

I asked my ex to please refer to me by my name but he STILL calls me 'babe', 'beautiful', and the worst imo 'sexy mama'. Makes me shudder.

Some dude messaged me after seeing my previous comment on this thread. "You need better men in your life." "Actually I dont need men in my life at all, but thanks for the concern." ..... Why do they think we care what they have to say? And why are they stalking a woman's only group? Its def not to learn to treat women better..

Thank you! I always kind of wanted to give her my name but def never brought it up to the grown man-toddler who thinks it's his right. I have to bite my tongue constantly with this man because he loses his shit so easily. And they say women are emotionally unstable!

You ladies rock! I'm still in the process of getting for my daughter's birth certificate (homebirth) and thanks to you I think I will use my surname instead of her father's. He is hardly in her life at all now, & his family never was. He did catch her at the birth, & then maybe picked her up a few more times after that.. but not worthy of being named after in my opinion!

Jeez, I wish they could see how sickening their actions and behaviors are. Tbh I cant think of a single man that would not sleep with a 17 year girl if they had the chance, and prob still would after finding out her age. I'll never understand how men think and for that I am fortunate. Unfortunately for me I had a child with my narc ex and have not gone no contact. Yet! I do have our daughter full time though. I let him see her a couple times a week for an hour or 2. (He spends most of that time …

He found his moms vibrator when he was younger and it scarred him for life... Poor thing. Now, sex toys make him feel inferior and he can't get off when he masturbates. He depended entirely on me for sex the entire duration of our relationship. He raped me because he THOUGHT I was masturbating. He "felt left out". I was going to sleep. I merely held my hand down there because I was sore from the sex we had a few hours prior. I should have seen the red flags, cause they were everywhere. I've repl…

My narcissistic "nice guy trope" of an ex was anti porn and anti masturbation. He ended up forcing himself on me. Even when you think they have good qualities, they surprise you.

I've been watching Call The Midwife and one of the characters often calls her patients 'old thing'. I hadn't heard it either.

This does not make them more ‘loyal’ & ‘willing to work it out’ ...just more lazy, selfish, cowardly & codependent. I definitely needed to read this. My ex/baby daddy uses phrases at me like loyal and willing to work it out, yet he has also told me straight up that because he has terminal cancer he doesn't want to have to go through the process of finding a new partner or doubts anyone would want to be with him. It's been almost a year since I left him and he is still clinging on, slinging threa…

My ex is a professional liar. Sooo, he gave me his ebt card so I could get groceries for our daughter. He needed to use it one day and claimed he put it back where he got it. I searched high and low for that card. I call him in tears and he said he would call the health department and have them send a new one and that it would be here within 2 weeks. Once I started getting very low on groceries I called him and somehow he was able to go to a post office and pick up the letter with the "new" card…

This was around 2011 ot 2012 when it happened, but I doubt much has changed. I wasn't a fan of the band at the time. They had just finished playing a show at the venue next door to where I was. I was sitting at the bar and enjoying a drink when he touched my hip area before he even said a word to me. Then sat down next to me and said, 'What are you drinking?' I replied, 'Vodka & cranberry, you?' He said, 'Whisky on the rocks.. a real man's drink'. I gave him a look and a laugh, grabbed his whisk…

Even in my pick-me days I never liked being approached. In fact, one of my fav pick-memories was when I embarrassed the singer of the black keys in front of an entire bar full of pickmeishas drooling over him. Even after multiple rejections, he still sent his body guard over to me when the bar was closing and asked me if I wanted to stay in the bar with him for another "drink". Uh huh.. I've read enough sexual assault stories recently that start like that. I was even standing next to my date! He…
