In most states, subject to any contracts or prenups saying otherwise, during the marriage separate property/income is treated as separate assets and the person who has title over the property, even if gained during marriage, is treated as the owner, then upon divorce all property and earned income gained during the marriage is subject to equitable distribution (with some exceptions such as inheritance)

I don’t think this guy knows a thing about finances. Like getting married and having kids = huge financial expense. Which further makes me think he will make the woman take on a majority of the household and financially burden if this is his way of thinking.

Why are angry scrotes replying to this post calling me an incel when I’m literally in a happy marriage 😂
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/03/22 05:08 PM

Yeah but he’s literally saying he intends to go half and half financially and he’s only valuing a woman based on what “financial successes” they can bring him and ignoring literally all of the other assets women bring to men in a marriage. He just sees it as a business transaction is how I read it!

In the US you can use the pre nup to define what earnings are considered “separate property” and “joint property” during the course of the marriage. Without a pre nup, by default all earnings during the marriage are joint property subject to equitable distribution during divorce. It’s not so much to protect pre-marriage property, which in general, is already considered separate property.

So true. I also had an ex who dropped out of college talk down on me for going to an Ivy League (first gen). He told me it was nothing to be proud of and college is a joke.

Great advice in general but I have taken self defense courses before where they specified not to use any kind of weapon against someone that you are not very well trained in using (they specified knives) because chances are if you are not trained in using that weapon that it will be taken from you and used against you...

I have a gay male friend that reads the posts on this sub and applies it to his dating. Just recently he decided he is against dating men with age gaps due to what he learned from FDS. I’m sure there are other gay men who do the same! Definitely useful for them.

You definitely don’t need a man around to have your first orgasm. I gave myself my first orgasm even after I had had sex before (they weren’t capable of giving me an orgasm.) Maybe if you start playing more with your own body and sexuality on your own and on your own terms you can get more clarity on what you are looking for sexually from someone else.

On the first bit - have two last names and I am going to chose one of them to give. My last names are not hyphenated and I don’t plan to hyphenate my children’s. And we are of Latino heritage where two last names is a normal part of our culture - and it hasn’t led to having 20 names. On the second bit about automatically having the mother’s last name- I agree.

Yup. My fiancé and I are not changing our last names and we agreed to give our future children both of our names. My children having my name was always a non-negotiable for me, and I’m so glad it was literally a non issue for my fiancé.

Yes I went through a name change process because of this. I ended up keeping my dads name because I wanted the same name as my brother, but also added my mother’s maiden name and have two last names, so I could pick and choose which to use when I want.

You want to make sure you have a pre nup or something covering the house if you get married- at the very least talk to a lawyer. If you put your joint earnings (all earnings made during a marriage unless contractually agreed to otherwise are considered joint) into the mortgage he will be entitled to a percentage of the home.

Some states have human rights commissions where you can file sexual harassment complaints against employers and they will help sue on your behalf and get you $. I don’t know what state you are in but the link to the NY Commission is as follows: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/cchr/enforcement/complaint-process.page

I saw Ashnikko live when she was an opener for rapper Danny Brown. I immediately became a fan. The crowd however (men) were booing and treating her horribly for no reason. Danny Brown had to come out and scold the crowd and tell them to act respectfully. I just googled this also and apparently it didn’t just happen at the NYC show I was at but also in Dallas - https://www.dallasobserver.com/music/danny-brown-confronted-a-heckler-in-dallas-after-he-told-his-opener-ashnikko-to-eat-his-ass-11785245

I am not sure where you live but I worked for 2 years doing orders of protection (OP). Your best bet is to call a domestic violence organization and see if they can help give you advice and draft a petition for the OP. Often they do this for free. If you are in NYC you can call Sanctuary for Families or the Family Justice Center. Other states have similar organizations. OPs for stalking can often be difficult to receive because people can make up a bunch of reasons for why they are around the ne…

My LVM ex I went to law school with got mad at me when I did better in my courses than him (which was every course). He also asked me to hide it from him when I got job interviews because he was jealous I was getting more opportunities than him. So pathetic. Could finally shine even brighter and make top 10% once I cut off the extra weight aka him.

I had an interview at a law firm, I was talking to hiring partner and suddenly I had some allergic reaction to something in his office. I couldn’t talk or open my mouth or I would cough, so I answered with a few word answers and let the partner take the full lead while I was dying inside trying to hold in my coughs. I thought I messed up the job interview for sure... next day I got the job!

I have HSV2 - and while I don’t think it deserves to have as much stigma as it does, I think it is horrible if this is given to someone through sexual assault or knowingly given without the other person’s consent. It is then a lifelong souvenir of the trauma. I really hope FKA twigs can find a way to heal from all of this 🙏

Yes. In the interview he says: “I’m not in any position to tell anyone how my behavior made them feel,” he said in an email to The New York Times. “I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.”

Always ask. And always assume they are lying too / or just don’t know their status -NEVER take their word for it. I have HSV (which I got from someone who did not disclose on a dating app) so I always disclose before sex and have “the talk”. Regardless of literally opening up this conversation- I have learned one of my previous partners had HPV and did not tell me despite our whole conversation and my own disclosure. Anytime you have sex with someone there is a risk. The only thing you can do is…

Yes but that would require the fathers voluntarily signing away their parental rights... most people do not do this. The state will only go after a parent if there is established paternity, which means these parents already have access to visitation rights but haven’t chosen to access them for whatever reason in many cases. And when the state goes after the parent the parent will often respond with asking for the visitation rights that they have legal access to due to their established paternity…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/09/20 02:54 PM

Lol that’s funny. A big issue with that idea tho is as done as paternity is established, while that creates the duty for the parent to support the child financially it also gives them parental rights such as visitation rights. For many reasons, single moms would probably like to avoid the bio father having parental rights (this is how rapists have ended up with visitation with their kids)

how on the earth is this one sided? a stay at home parent is a 24-7 job; working at a company usually has some set hours. I am a woman, I want my fiance to be a stay at home dad because I have literally no interest in doing any house-hold related things, and he enjoys doing them and I find his contributions to be just as meaningful as my economic contributions.

Yes there's a code of ethics. You need to be able to represent your client zealously (which seems this lawyer will be able to do!). Ethics rules state: "A lawyer must also act with commitment and dedication to the interests of the client and with zeal in advocacy upon the client's behalf." There does not have to be any kind of loyalty between the lawyer and the opposing party of a civil case.

As a whole I agree with the main message but I find the way he portrayed his opinion or even the fact he felt the need to write it out unsettling. I look at beautiful women all the time, and hopefully I do it in a way that doesn’t bother any of them... but let’s say it did end up bothering someone I would never even think the thoughts of “get over it, there’s nothing wrong with it! I do not identify as poly but I have dated polyamorous people before. I think you’re right about this. I get where you are coming from but you have to also remember the LGBT fight was also a fight to have gay sex be legalized also (even sex without love). Sodomy was illegal for a long time and having the right to have sex legally is a huge part of LGBT liberation. That has nothing to do with whether displaying that on pride is ok or not, but you can’t erase that part of LGBT liberation discourse. And I 100% agree straight men need not interject! Lol
